Just how in the hell are you supposed to push yourself to eat healthy if you are and have always been an extremely picky motherfucker when it comes to food? Fruits and vegetables aren't really a problem for me, but trying to force myself to eat non-processed meats is a miserable experience every fucking time and just can't push myself to follow though with it.

>in b4 "quit complaining and eat your food"

If it was as simple as willpower alone I wouldn't be asking here. I need advice to actually get me to that point, or some other kind of work-around.

>dad has gf

>picky as a motherfucker

>hates veggies and basically won't eat salad with anything but bacon, dressing, and cucumber.

>refuses to try any new food I introduce to her.

>drinks alot and hates exercise.

>fat

Really don't see what he likes about her at this point besides her personality.

Just as good friends uplift the spirit, good partners heal the heart, and good activities energize the soul, good foods are a joy to eat and satisfying to digest—giving peaceful rest for a weary body. What willpower is necessary to let good things happen? If you need willpower, perhaps the foods aren't being wholly good to your constitution.

It's an acquired habit, think about what you want to introduce to yourself and find a more enjoyable way to have it that you appreciate, like how you might not like certain "mushy" kinds of foods but crunchier things may be enjoyable, look for ways you can get used to the taste of it without having to fully commit to eating it in the most natural/raw way possible. Work your way up until you're able to eat the thing in the way you want.

I don't really know how it's just something I'm starting. I'm cutting most sugar and bread and I'm not going to allow many cheat days for a while. I don't even want to have a lot of muscle. I just want to slim down from 185 to around 140-150. I just need to find time to also workout.

I'm going to need to do a lot of homework on what meats I should buy and what to look out for. Maybe eat more fish too?

Good Luck, OP.

What's the issue with non-processed meats? What processed meats do you eat? You can probably make some of it, just 'processing' meat yourself in ways that will be healthier. Chicken nuggets are easy to make for example.

Some cold cuts can be substituted. For example, instead of buying turkey breast cold cut, just buy a whole raw turkey breast, roast/bake it in one piece, and then slice it or shred it. If you put it in sandwiches, it will taste almost exactly like the cold cut, and different consistency will be pretty easy to ignore. You can always top things you like with meat too. Just toss tiny chunks of grilled chicken into your salad or stir fry or whatever.

I've been in your boat before OP. as a kid, my only meats were hot dogs, cheeseburgers, breakfast sausage, bacon, pepperoni and sliced ham. I didn't like steak for a long time until I realized that I like my steaks with fat on them, and I like them not red as fuck down the middle.

If food is cooked shitty, it'll leave a bad impression on your habits as a kid.

Here's an example on how my tastes with shrimp changed.

>Bad history with shrimp

>Restaurant that family and I go to yearly has an extensive seafood menu

>Try it, it's shit.

>Rubbery, not very appetizing

>Smells godawful

Never again I thought I would entertain the idea of seafood… until.

>go to a hibachi-style restaurant on vacation

>this is surprisingly legit

>family orders shrimp

>ah fuck it, japan's famed for seafood, why not?

>try it.

>whoa.

>holy shit! this is actually delicious! what the fuck?!

Try meats when they're cooked a different way, or not cooked like shit. It's the same way with coffee too- all the shitty burnt coffees are found at grocery stores, good coffee comes from a shop that not only has a roast date, but is willing to show the brands of beans it gets.

I'm picky because I have ill taste towards shitty food, maybe it's the same thing for you..

Dude, make your own sausages, meatballs and burgers yourself, that way you can know they are good for you and made of 100% meat.
