Hey fit, I'm a 25 year old, 423 lb fatass finally doing something about it. I've spent the past week replacing meals with homemade smoothies, but I want to get rid of the soy levels? What ingredients should I use, or should I just switch to protein shakes?

Great advice, I'll just go back to cheeseburgers now.

sounds like you have a chronic case of not having read the sticky op. Smoothies are high in sugar + calories and low in fibre, not recommended. To get 423 lb what sort of thing were you eating? Soda + fast food?

Bread and cheese.

Never drank soda in my life.

That's a lot of bread and cheese. Remove the bread.

No refined sugar, no simple carbohydrates, no processed meat. Eat low carb but you don't have to do gay shit like keto strips. Stick to that and you'll shed pounds without touching a gym or doing any cardio.

OP you're going to want to do DDP yoga and also do starting strength if you're able to. You will also need to invest in a nutritionist and personal trainer and most importantly, use a cal counting app like Fat Secret.

You're not a lost cause but you're going to have years of work and drinking smoothies isn't the answer, not even close.

Do keto. Keto is not great for teststerone and people tend to lose muscle mass on it , so if somebody only needs to lose a few pounds, then it's not worth it. But since you're very obese and need to lose a ton of weight, keto is a great idea, many people have achieved very impressive weight loss on it.

Don't eat soy, your estrogen is probably already off the charts from all the blubber. Lift weights, do cardio, and stick to a strict ketogenic diet with a calorie deficit (while trying to get as much nutrition as possible, micronutrients etc.).

Literally just eat less and move more. At your weight, you'll need like 3000 calories just for maintence. Go on a diet of eating like a pig instead of eating like two pigs and you'll see results.

>But I'll be hungry!

Get in line. Your body will adjust to the fewer calories. It will adjust faster, in fact, if you move around and don't sit in bed all day. The days where I pig out are usually my laziest days, not the ones where I'm on my feet for hours.

>people tend to lose muscle mass on it

Bullshit. Keto is great for retaining muscle mass. You are far more likely to lose muscle on a low fat diet. Many ketoers even recomp with only modest lifting, and I'm not talking about land whales.

Most of the gripes that people have with keto are only relevant during the adaptation phase. So many people start keto, see their lifts go down a little and freak out. If you stick with it, the fat adaptation is amazing. I have a shitload of weight to lose, but I've been doing If for the last six months and keto for the last five months, and I have lost 35 pounds. I started at 410 and am down to 375. I tell you what though, once I got fat adapted my stamina went crazy. When I was last 375 back in college I never had energy like this. I put 33 pounds in a backpack and go ruck marching. I'm a fucking marching machine now. I do that shit fasted and only take water and electrolytes with me. I march about 3mph, which I think is pretty good for a landwhale. My goal is 12 miles at 4mph.

TL;DR, >pic related

Do what >>140208 said. Strict keto. Its fucking enjoyable and the weight falls off. My friend saw my results and now has his whole family eating keto.
