This drug,ziprasidone, keeps me from killing myself and hallucinating but is the Antichrist in terms of dieting. Half life of ten hours so must be taken 2x daily, and bioavailability plummets to 50% when taken without food, maximum absorbtion only with full meal. Lost a good amount of weight doing OMAD and alternate days fasting but was actually psychotic and hallucinating to the point where boyfriend threatened hospitalization. OMAD killed my appetite but the increased frequency in foods brought it back, can't take stimulant appetite suppressants or any simulant including caffeine. What do? I'm of course counting calories but combo of cocktail of psych meds and birth control has me feeling hungry and miserable all the time. Anyone know of some non stimulant appetite suppressor that won't make my heart explode? Again sorry for the blog post

If you're fucked in the head you need to fix the problems in you life and learn to live with what can't be fixed not take hydrocloride salts to alter you brain chemistry. Also generally improving your overall health will help in this regard.

Yeah that's just one opinion. Medication especially for mental disorders has plenty of downsides but you need to decide for yourself whether it is worth it, not anyone else. I'm sure you know this but although disorders may be manageable by pure effort they're not necessarily fixable - more in the case of psychosis/whatever causes your hallucinations

Calendars are an awful form of birth control unless you stick a thermometer up your vagina every week and monitor your vaginal discharge so please don't try that

Do two keto meals a day. Try to keep the first one small and mostly fat with very little protein or carbs. You might even be able to do something entirely fat like bulletproof coffee. A meal of pure fat causes only the most miniscule barely detectable rise in insulin. Fat is what the drug needs to be absorbed. It's absorbed poorly without food because it isn't very water soluble.

So, try bulletproof coffee or a similar butter containing beverage for your first dose. Then for your second and full meal eat keto. If you don't want to do strict keto, do something like banting. I personally do strict keto and love it, but banting is a basically keto for lazy people. You have lists of foods that are "green," "yellow," and "red." Green foods you can eat pretty much as you want. Yellow food yo can eat a little bit of or only sometimes. Red foods you want to eat rarely or never. As long as you stick to the lists you shouldn't need to count calories or carbs.

Hey OP, I hope you are doing well, I'm an inpatient behavioral health professional so I'm familiar with these types of medications. If it is working for you, don't stop taking it.

Find a consistent diet plan.

Calorie counting app like Fat Secret.

Prob watch carbs/sugars.

Also check your ha1c and blood glucose because some of those medications can cause insulin resistance.
