Lifting everyday, good or bad?

7ee1c5  No.136482

Muscles need rest to grow, so usually people who have the time and energy to consider lifting every day will simply divide workouts into something like upper body days and lower body (and core) day.

Depends on if you have the grit to live your life properly whilst also lifting every day of it. If you do, go ahead. If you don't, then split it up. It's taxing.

If going millions into energy debt doesn't sound too terrible because you GOT WHAT IT TAKES to make the gorillion gains, then, go ahead.

A better idea would be to do the main lifts 3x a week, then doing accessory work in excess on the other days. Grip [wrists, fingers, hands, forearms], neck, jaw, calves, ankles, feet, toes, hips, shins, scalp (hair and mental clarity gains??), shrugs, shoulder blade shit like doing blade retractions from a dead hang or retracting a weight horizontally, stomach vacuums, hollow body hold, etc.

Take into your nervous system, it's not just your muscles that need to recover, it's your nerves as well, so you do need sufficient rest in between taxing lifts, so >>136489 take is probably a good idea, if you really want to lift everyday, use the usual rest days for accessory work that doesn't put much of a strain on your nervous system. Also follow a proper warm up and stretching routine to mitigate possible injuries

This. Also, don't count sets or reps; instead, time your lifts. For example, when you squat, don't do 3x5 of a weight you can only lift 3x5 times. Instead, squat an empty bar up and down slowly for 15 minutes, then take a 5 minute break. Repeat two more times for a total of 45 minutes of squats. Repeat this same process for every kind of exercise you want to do, every single day. 8 hours of lifting, 8 hours of sleep, 8 hours of cooking/eating/shitting/fapping/shitposting/etc.

It's fucking retarded. When I was on cycle I only even lifted 6 days a week for 40 minutes (PPL). Even doing not very heavy weights I was feeling the tendonitis.

I could barely even manage to do 3 days a week of PPL naturally.

Now I do cardio everyday and lift never. I haven't lifted since june 2017 and I still have all my size (although about half the strength). Doing a lot of cardio has made me happier healthier and leaner though.

I'm natty and I lift 6 days a week of PPL for 30-40 minutes at a time in the morning with no major issues. Maybe the tendonitis is due to bad form or myostatin inhibitors.

Not OP but i'll take your word for it. This is my problem. I work like a fucking animal. 9am - 5pm and then my 2nd shift starts at 9pm to 1am. I try to gym everyday, usually 4 days in a row, 5 max because it stops me from drinking like the alcoholic that I am. I've noticed that when I skip days I get sick so I just try and stay on the train because it keeps me mentally adjusted and having problems with blood pressure, i believe it does me good. However, i've noticed that when I skip a day and exercise self discipline I make much faster gains than going everyday. I still plan on going everyday because I need it for my mental health, but do you think i'll eventually get beast mode if I continue? Been at it for a year, lost about 8kg and weighing in at 92 at 6'4. Happy to be honest but curious to hear your thoughts. Thanks in advance.

It's difficult for you not to stimulate your shit, and difficulty is good. You getting sick is like how trying to set a weight down can cause an injury rather than getting it up. It would be reasonable and good to meditate instead of lift weights every other day. Meditation on days you lift would also be good.

Learn how to hard reset. Deep meditation where your entire being unwinds into cosmic time. Like I said, setting the weight down can be more difficult. Hormones are going, nerves are on high, but you have to exercise that parasympathetic nervous system and meditate for a couple hours. Stretch half an hour after meditating.

I train 6 days per week, sometimes I shuffle my rest day around to make up for schedule conflicts, which leads to me training for up to 10 days in a row sometimes. It's doable if you autoregulate your training but it took me a long time to figure out how to make it work for me.
