I signed up to a gym and shilled like 40 euro but I keep chickening out every time I enter because I don't know how to use any of he machines properly

the benchpress is always busy and has one or two guys waiting by it

I can't do a single pull up because my back is too weak, I think my gym has a lat pulldown machine but the handles are different instead of one bar to pull down

today I went but chickened out and went home after 5 minutes of awkwardly walking around staring at my phone

god I fucking hate myself

first; nigger were do u live in belgium?

Second, there exist a place where people upload vids of themselves doing exercises. You've heard about it, its called youtube. Now on this site you can access many, many guides to proper form of exercises.

Next time ask how many more sets they need to do on the bench press. Furthermore is there a suqt/powerrack anywhere in the gym? Matts to deadlift? We need some info OP

only a smiths machine and a matt with deadlifts

I feelings deadlifting as such a weak noob will just fuck myself over with poor form and weak back, I will go tommorow and take pictures. I think it is a crossfit gym or something because 70% of the equipment is weird rubber bands and exercise balls, there's a massive metal sructure people do rubber band exercises on and idk what it even is, ive not seen such things on youtube

I was going to ask the staff but they are always fucked off somewhere

It's safe to ignore all those rubber bands while you are inexperienced. You can achieve a lot of progress with free weights (barbells, dumbbells) only. Check the FAQ and look for 'compound'.

>I think it is a crossfit gym

Better than nothing, I guess.

You could start by doing squats and push-ups with resistance bands, and then figure out what exactly what equipment they have.

And stop reddit-spacing, for fuck's' sake.

>I can't do a single pull up because my back is too weak

Then do assisted pull-ups using the rubber bands, you faggot.

hijacking this faggots thread to ask for help.

I am obese as shit to the point where i cant even jog. I have the willpower to exercise but the things I used to be able to do are damaging my body too much. i have been doing keto diet for 15 days now but I need to add more exercise. What can i do? is going for walks good? what are some ways i can exercise without hurting my joints or do i have to just tank the damage? thanks /fit/

>What can i do

There is no shortcut to success. Continue the diet if your goal is to lose weight, start training as soon as possible if your goal is to get fit. Damage to joints are repetition based. Low reps reduce the damage.

You don’t need a bench to do chest press. Just grab some dumb bells and lay on the floor.

Watch a lot of YouTube. Tons of great starter videos. Or fucking just ask one of the employees. It might cost a few bucks but they will help you.

Think of it as a rite of man hood. It sucks but if you don’t do it you’ll be a pussy for ever.

Go to the swimming pool, Samwise. If you don't know how to swim just learn it fatso.

>>135437

Watch videos, make sure that your money is well spent by putting some effort into doing something in the gym.

If you can't jog then walk or swim. You probably shouldn't jog anyway if you're fat, or you'll blow out your knees. Focus on your diet and low-impact exercise. Maybe yoga. I know it gets a bad rep but it's good for mobility/flexibility and strengthening your stabilizer muscles. Some poses might be hard with your fat rolls in the way but hey, that should remind you why you're doing this in the first plce.
