Actually whey is some of the cheapest protein you can get, 30g of protein from whey will set you back about $1. Only eggs and cheap bulk chicken/ground beef can really beat it but these need to be cooked and stored in refrigerated containers whereas whey you can keep in a blender bottle all day so you can blast a quick shake after your workout.
Not to mention it takes more time to consume and absorb the protein from these foods than pure whey.
>highly processed
meaningless scaremongering buzzword
Whey is just protein from milk.
That it.
Its not steroids.
Its not some weird chemical cooked up in a lab.
Its milk protein.
>full of chinese heavy metals
Don't buy you protons from shady websites then?
>have to mix with real food anyways
You can mix it with milk and/or fruit if you want but you can also just throw water and a bit of dextrose/stevia in a shaker and chug that fucker.
>Just buy high proton foods.
Yes you should ALSO do that. But the convenience, flexibility, effectiveness and speed of action of whey is simply too good for any serious weightlifter to pass up.

A disgusting looking degenerate whos been on gear since he was a teenager and died in his 40's has the gall to purity spiral on supplements.
The only thing I agree with him on is that you have to watch what you're buying and look at the ingredients instead of the marketing. Or better yet buy pure compounds and make your own mix.
