This isn't to discredit weight lifting all together, but it's an infected groupthink of homo erotic bro culture, "12 reps is endurance", "I don't walk places because cardio kills gains", "past 45 minutes in the gym and your muscles will shrink", "X, Y and Z lifts are useless, big 3/5 are all that count", "blah blah blah pseudo scientific shit that keeps everyone in line and doing the same sub-optimal shit" and all kinds of hoopla.

The issue with weight lifting (OP here) is that it's a rather rigid plane of motion. Athletic, dynamic, multi-step lifts aren't involved. Weight lifting as it is should be once a week, and the other six should be something else.

Here is my list of alternatives:

>Sledgehammer/ Long heavy metal object;

<principle of disadvantageous lever and shock absorption.

>Heavy chain ( huge links ) as nonchaku;

<360 degree joint strength, build toughness from getting hit, seriously difficult… I haven't done it.

>Pinch, fatt, finger tip grip versions of exercises;

<elastic speedy strength. If you can throw a 5 lb club 60m you can kill a man with a punch, chop, palm or throw

<"oooh you'll become slow and ineffective", you'll have to try harder to move faster until you build up basic all around strength. It takes focus to move faster whilst heavier, which you will develop unless you aren't even trying anymore. The benefit is mostly from how depressed you might become from weighted clothing… overcoming that depression is how you will grow from it. If you hurt, you hurt because your posture, tension pattern/intensity and muscle engagement pattern is shitty.

Seriously any training program designed for athletics includes lots of dynamic movement. Even "Starting Strength" uses Olympic variants, and every program used by athletics teams not only works weights in the powerlifting mode, but also includes Olympic variants, sprints, plyometrics, and running-based conditioning.

A beginner's Olympic weightlifting program would have several athletic / dynamic / multi-step lifts. Like the Clean and Jerk.

I don't use fonts. I use an automagic cookie deleter, script blocker, Disconnect, forced https, uOrigin adblocker, an add-on for quick temp email creation, another program that functions like Disconnect, and the MEGA add-on.

Script blocker blocks fonts. I don't see how this results in Hebrew, but it does. This is the first time I've seen this.
