Is it advisable to do low intensity, higher volume work on a intermediate program just to get a pump in, or is it better to let your rest days be entirely restful?

I really enjoy the feeling of having worked out to such an extent that it keeps me motivated to go back to the gym but at this point I want to compulsively go on all days despite the fact I know this will lead to tendonitis and plateaus as I cannot rebuild fast enough.

Is it possible to workout on your "rest day" without killing gains? I was thinking along the lines of just stretches, crunches, and bodywheyt so I can "feel it". Bad news or no?

Meh I did long distance running and strength training at the same time as long as your body can handle it and you eat enough it's fine IMO.

Yes. Even better actually. Flushes your muscles, tendons, bones and fascia with fresh blood. Keeps the vessels young and healthy.
