Why do we keep falling for the caffeine Jew?

 No.130675

Fuck you Shlomo, we won't let you have caffeine to yourself

Caffeine is an excellent pre-workout anon. Also great for early mornings to get up before work. 8/10

>Caffeine is an excellent pre-workout anon

Why would you need a pre-workout in the first place?

If you're sleepy, couldn't simply sniff ammonia?

>Why would you need a pre-workout in the first place?

A little bit of motivation to actually go to the gym? Want to move a little faster and burn a few extra calories on your cardio?

Caffeine isn't a gains goblin if you use it correctly.

I like coffee a lot (its a cultural thing), not that I need every breathing minute either

its a stimulant, and since I have ADD it actually makes me calmer and more focused

trick is to drink it in light doses and lighter sugar,

>>130676

I don't like it pre-workout either, if you're having problems slugging to the gym then its other motivation issues

I don't like caffeine, if you're getting any use of it that just means you're either

1. Not getting enough sleep

Or

2. Imminently not going to get enough sleep

So it's a fucking crutch. And I would know. I've had so much caffeine over the years. I used to be drink so much that I'd kick ass at practice back in high school but would have such a hard time falling asleep that I wouldn't get to school the next day until lunch period. I'm not exaggerating. I did this from the second half of my junior year until I dropped out halfway through my senior year. I never did homework. My schedule was basically:

1. Wake up at 9 or 10am, drink 4-5 cups of coffee

2. Lunch time, drink another 2 cups of coffee from the vending machine

3. Schools over (or I just got impatient and walked off campus), speed on the freeway to rowing practice and arrive an hour early

4. Mop the floor with my shit teammates and talk shit to them because they're fuckin garbage rich kids. Practice was usually an hour and a half of intense rowing on the river or indoor machine.

5. Head to chipotle for dinner

6. If it's a Friday, I head to the local gym and start my second workout, usually weights and a run

7. Get home around 9pm, eat some more, especially sugary shit like chocolate milk and yogurt, go to bed

God I wish I could go back and live it all over again. I was so lonely because I had no friends due to being an asshole and autism and being so attractive everyone felt jealous. But alas, now I have college work that I actually have to do and only have like 1 hour a day for working out and have to be at class on time, so no coffee for me.

 No.130949

Caffeine should be used on rare occasions, like a long drive. Using it habitually, either in the morning or before a workout is gay as fuck. Once your body and mind acclimate to that stimulus, which they will because it's a regular deal, not only does it become far less effective but you become reliant on it so your baseline of energy is lower than it was before.

There's a reason Starbucks is so popular with soyboys and kikes.

 No.130983

Caffeine withdrawal gives me skull shattering headaches, it's quite difficult to get off of it.

 No.130992

Anyone who's shitting on caffeine is a sad bastard.

Let me clear this up: when used smartly and properly, caffeine is the best.

There are a couple of tricks with caffeine:

a) Time your intake, take a proper dosage: some fag in here was complaining about caffeine because he was drinking 6-7 cups a day in 2 settings separated by only a couple of hours. That's just fuckin' stupid.

300mg a day is a good and even healthy dose, 600mg is pushing it. The average cup of Joe has 150-200mg, so that fag was consuming anywhere from 900mg all the way up to 1400 a day. in a 4-5 hour window too Then he has the bloody audacity to complain about side effects.

b) Know that caffeine isn't supposed to kick start your day: You should not drink anything with caffeine first thing in the morning. I made it a rule to drink my coffee a few hours after I have woken up and did some work at least. Now I'm awake and fully functional on my own can I take my caffeine.

c) Know that caffeine isn't supposed to replace sleep: You should be getting 7-8 hours of quality sleep at night every night if possible, caffeine shouldn't replace sleep.

d) Cycle it: You should not consume caffeine incessantly. You should give your body a week or two off the thing every few months, to allow your body to reset the number of Adenosine reciptors back to normal. I take 10-15 days off every 3 months or and take no caffeine at the time, no coffee, no tea, no medication that has caffeine unless urgently prescribed by a doctor. Not even eating chocolate then.

If you do what I advise above, caffeine will be a boon.

 No.131149

If you can be a non-retard caffeine is fine.

No coffee 11 hours before bed. The half life of caffeine is 5.7 hours. It's fine in moderation before work outs; don't overdo it or it'll become a crutch. Don't drink more than 3 or 4 cups of coffee a day or you're going to start getting withdraws on days you don't drink it.

Just like anything, it's fine in moderation.

Some solid advice here. It's shocking how many people think that caffeine can be a substitute for sleep. Your lack of sleep has a cumulative build to it; you can't offset that with caffeine. That last point is pretty good too. Usually I'll have a cup a day for a few weeks, and then I'll take an off week and not drink any.

>>131149

I read a study somewhere (I'll have to find it) that studied the sleep disrupting effects that caffeine can have on the body based on how many hours after it had been consumed. Apparently there were people who had disturbed sleep even 24 hours after they had consumed a set amount of caffeine. I'd chalk it up to people metabolizing caffeine differently, but it was still interesting.

What was the set dose we're looking at here?

Some medical studies truly overdo the dosages or put it at human limits.

Depends on method of intake too, was it just a normal cup of coffee or an extended release pill?

 No.131330

Part of the reason the EC(A) stack was invented is because caffeine by itself is fat sparing. Plain caffiene is fine for a workout boost while bulking, but on a cut it's counterproductive.

I don't think this is the same study I was referring too, but I did find another study that has some of the problems you are describing: http://dx.doi.org/10.5664/jcsm.3170

>caffeine is administered in pill form

>a sample size of only 16 people

>caffeine intake of 400mg

Comparing this study to my own experiences, it's no wonder they found that caffeine disturbs sleep. I'll have two cups of coffee (111mg each) 10-12 hours before I go to bed and I've never had sleep issues.

 No.131593

You're using caffeine incorrectly. Buy pills, soak them in water, mash them into paste and then apply topically onto your skin and scalp. Helps repair stretch marks, thickens hair and suppresses MPB, improves skin texture and health.
