Is it true that champoo and most soaps have plastics that can affect your health in a bad way or is it all broscience? A friend told me that it has estrogens in it or some shit. What could be a good alternative, home made soap?

35a2c4  No.130024

Last time I checked, soap isn't something you are supposed to eat.

afa085  No.130025

Nigger, of course I don't eat it. A lad told me that it went through your skin or that it had bad chems in it.

It's just broscience, right?

I've seen these claims on the website of the mail order company I get my protein from even, but it's probably broscience, just like the fixation with testosterone in these places overall. I know this post will get criticised but I just want to say this whole thing about wanting to fix your hormones, your gut flora and what else people are doing now is just an excuse for not exercising and eating properly. Stop trying to find silly shortcuts, calculate your needed nutrition value and learn how to lift, how to do cardio and keep some discipline and you won't need this complicated stuff.

If you want to use clean natural products that's one thing and these already exist, just go to some hippie store. Keep it simple.

>champoo

It's "shampoo". Get as natural shampoo as you can, with no parabens. Soap is much easier, you could get bar soap made from goat milk or something.

>home made soap

Soapmaking is hard work- you will get gains from that, not a bad idea tbh.

while I don't doubt that many of the substances you named in your pastebin post have adverse health effects, I don't see any sources. is there substantive research that would support these claims?

Not bro science, its completely true. Xenoestrogens are a poison to males, and the way in which scientists have measured for the impact of these additional compounds has been flawed. In short they would only examine the direct effect on the organism (which for some kinds of xenoestrogen is basically nothing) however they failed to measure the marked change in the P1 or progeny of the exposed organisms, ie infertility lack of viability, hormone imbalance, mental disorder. To be clear most of those who saw this effect were poisoned before they were even concieved because their parents were exposed to some sketch hair shampoo in the 70s or 80s.

It might just be a coincidence that this aligns so well in the pro women war against men that has been brewing on the internet, I don't have anything on this topic other than a dislike for coincidences.

After shave contains dht blockers to help reduce the growth of facial hairs. Since you're making tiny cuts on your skin every time you shave these blockers probably go systemic as well.

phytoestrogens != xenoestrogens

Most phytoestrogens are harmless and can actually raise your testosterone levels. I wouldn't worry about most of the food in that pastebin above. Soy is one of the few I actually avoid, partly because they try to put it in everything.

True xenoestrogens like BPA and certain pesticides are the ones that really can fuck you up, especially when you're young and your body is still developing.

>What could be a good alternative

Bar soaps from animal/natural sources.

Look at Marseille soap.

53c768  No.135177

Ah yes, BPA. The thing that the body confuses as estrogen. Best to avoid all plastics even bpa free stuff that typically use BPS instead are just as bad. Avoid plastic bottles and basically everything else. Glass is better for drinking.

No, that's the biggest scam of them all, along with eco-friendly and locally produced stuff. Because they can now put a stamp on a regular product and sell it at a higher price, it's basically the same shit anyway.

Use a shower cap and only wash hair once a month. Minimize use of shampoo. Or if you have clean city water just rinse and comb without any soap until wash day

91c63a  No.135355

There's a lot of broscience swirling around on the topic but xenoestrogens are definitely real and definitely worth avoiding when you can. And yeah they're probably in your shampoo, especially if you use some basic bitch "Men's 2 in 1 Shampoo and Conditioner" or some shit like that. Switch to a simpler shampoo, or even consider going into some no-poo routine.

Been using no shampoo for the past 5 years and never had any issues. Unless you have a very good reason your hair will be fine with just scrubbing it with your fingers in the shower to get dirt and sweat out. Cheaper and easier as well.

It works only for buzzcuts. People with longer hair, necessarily need something else besides water to get clean.

I have very long thick hair and when I used to live in the city I would wet my hair all the time in the shower. I would use a comb or fingers to give it a quick rinse. Took about an hour to dry but no big deal. It's a shower not a full on head soak like you would with a hair washing.

Only problem is now I don't live in the city and everything here is well water. Either the place has a lot of lime or softener which really fucks with your hair.

You could try replacing:

>toothpaste with natural baking soda and sea/pink salt 1/day (or even less often if you're worried about it being too abrasive)

>mouthwash with coconut oil (2-5m; I do "coconut oil pulling" it for the duration of my shower)

>shampoo with every 2-3/day natural baking soda

>conditioner with diluted organic apple cider vinegar (followed by diluted Dr. Bronner's liquid castile soap [1st pic] so your head doesn't smell like a salad)

>hair and body wash, hand soap, dish soap, laundry detergent with diluted Dr. Bronner's liquid castile soap

>deodorant with that crystal mineral stuff from Walgreen's or CVS (2nd pic)

Those crystal deodorants may not contain aluminum chlorohydrate, but they are still aluminum based. Use milk of magnesia. You can even buy it online in roll on applicators specifically for deodorant use.

As for the abrasiveness of baking soda; it's one of the least abrasive tooth cleansers out there. Check out a list of various dentifrices and how abrasive they are. They all list plain baking soda as the least abrasive. I think the abrasiveness issue is overhyped. I use an electric toothbrush with one of the most abrasive toothpastes on the market and my teeth have never been better.

Do you have another idea to wash you mouth?

I need a solution; because my teeth are clean, but I have bad breath.

To take care of myself, I use natural soap (Marseilles soap, or Aleppo soap is great). Take great care to check if they're real (like from online website that import directly from France/Aleppo). There is no shit in that.

I use Alun stone too. But it's the same, you ABSOLUTELY need to check if they're really natural, like directly taken (or aggregated from dust) from the crystal.

If you're sure, then it's totaly ok. There is aluminium in it, but the reaction when you use it makes it harmless (I'm talking about aluminium naturally present in the crystal, not the one coming from industrial made crystal).

My only problem right now is mouth washing, and some kind of replacement for hair gel.

With that, I would be totally clean, with pure natural shit that won't destroy my fertility/bring me cancer.
