>Obese people can survive more physical battery
>they can last longer without food
>regular actions like sitting down are comfortable to them
These are functionality-type arguments. The points made here aren't really so heavy compared to the more social points.
>they get things handed to them all the time
Pity.
>women are far less judgmental of them
Bigotry of low expectatoins
>they have an acceptance movement
One which isn't taken seriously by anyone of worth.
>they don't end up with psychiatric hospitalizations for their issues
Obesity doesn't really overlap with many severe psychological problems in the way anorexia does
>they get TV shows made about them
So it's good that they're the freaks in the freak show?
>people aren't afraid to talk about losing weight without getting flak for it (anorexics are often cast aside because "gaining weight is easy")
I don't understand your point here. It only makes sense if what you meant to type was that people are afraid to talk about losing weight because they might get flak for it. The obese are protected and the anorexics are seen as lazy.
>they have significantly less serious mental problems
In exchange for what?
>obesity has historically been considered upper class
Smoking used to be something only the upper class did. Then smoking became available to everyone and now the upper class are health-freaks meanwhile. obesity and smoking have now become the new signifiers poverty. Pale skin was valued as well. Now it's seen as a symptom of poor health and no social life. People actively get tans now.
>and they're all-around less depressing to look at
You think people prefer looking at obese people than anorexic people? Where the hell do you live?
