Am i falling for the meme or does it works?

I need to know what to do to stop this fucking hunger who lingers on me every time i go to low cal

 No.123967

>>123966

there is literally another thread about fasting atm

and if you ask my opinion, its bullshit

of course you're going to feel hungrier low cal, but that's why more filling food is recommended

and the general rule of thumb is to not go over 25% less cals, or you're starvation

also

READ THE STICKY

 No.123968

>>123967

i can't find anything on fasting on the sticky

 No.123970

https://8ch.net/fit/res/123535.html

tl;dr fasting is much better than low cal, low cal decreases your metabolism to decrease your energy expenditure rather than burn fat, but fasting actually increases your metabolism and makes you burn fat (and it doesn't make your burn muscle)

 No.123972

We should start calling /fit/ /fasting/ since some nigger makes a fasting thread every day and asks the same questions. Considering this board isn't as frequented as other ones, this must be some kind of coordinated troll effort.

I'm still amazed at the level of autism we see here

maybe its just more pronounced than more populated boards

What exactly do your links disprove? You've been ranting on against fasting but you have yet to make a single coherent point that actually disproves any of the evidence for fasting.

alright pic related from second link, first link really didn't have anything specific besides general advice

but besides that I don't have to prove anything, because every body KNOWS good nutrition is key to healthy and fitness,

there for the lack of good nutrition, or lack of nutrition at all, not good for healthy and fitness

everybody knows, both me and you, eating for the majority of all lives, that its essential

its not me who has to come up with proof, but you that wants to prove the contrary to something already established as convention, which is

> good nutrition is good for you

now there are a couple different things there, anon in this thread is wondering about intermittent fasting, the other referenced thread, the dude is straight starvation mode

now its pretty obvious that one is way less drastic than the other, common sense is great judgment there

but wether IF really improves something else better rather than just good nutrition, that is up to you to prove

and I mean having the same nutrition but wether having fasting intervals makes a difference, where is the study proving that?

 No.124013

And for reference here is the thread about other anon who had a keto problem

>>116677

good if you're study-fagging, looking for research and whatnot

to sum it down, basically he went keto for a long time and it fucked him up

his metabolism went down, he got impotent and depressed and bunch of other crap

the same principles can also apply if you're going for starvation or very low cal

>your metabolism goes down

False. Your metabolism actually goes up slightly when you fast. When you go on calorie restrictive diet, your metabolism goes down. See the first 10 mins of the video and 22:00

>you burn more muscle

False. You lose less protein than any other means of losing weight. See 17:00

>you feel like crap

False. You feel crap on a calorie restrictive diet, because your metabolism goes down. When you fast you feel good once you get used to it, and many cultures like the Greeks actually used fasting for the extra clarity of mind it gave them

>you gain the weight back

False. You gain the weight back when you go on calorie restrictive diets, but not with fasting. A 207KG man who fasted for over a year got down to 82 KG, when they checked up on him 5 years later, he had only regained 7KG

So there. Every one the points in your shitty health blog has been explicitly debunked. I'm gonna stop talking to you now because it's apparent that you're a literally retarded shitskin who cannot comprehend facts.

I get the feeling I'm getting meme

d but I'll reply anyway.

>metabolism goes up slightly when you fast

no

>lose less protein

at a certain caloric defecit, usually 25% or more the body will start cannibalizing muscle for energy, this is a fact

>won't you feel like crap

you are starving, you will feel like crap, not to mention your only vitamins will be from "multi vitamins" which are in forms that aren't well absorbed by the body

>you wont gain the weight back if you fast

>anecdotal evidence

ur definitley meming. going on a 'diet' is self defeating because once you lose the weight, if you go back to your old ways you will put it all back on again. you either change the way you eat permanently and retain your results or just ping pong back and forth whenever you decide your waistline is too big.

it's really a shame when the fucking BR knows better than the kangaroo fucker in a first world country

>>124043

>wew lad

>posting dr oz tier 'redpill' for another fad diet

>references 'the biggest loser'

>"theres no reunion because theyre all fat again"

well no fucking shit, you eat like shit forever and be fat, eat at a caloric deficit and exercise and lose weight. start eating like shit and doing no exercise again, guess what happens?

 No.124091

furthermore you guys need to all read about the minnesota starvation experiment if you actually think fasting is a good idea

I want someone to step by step tell what is wrong with these using studies and research. No bodybuilder.com articles that just say "it's bad, mkay?"
