After the familiars in the mansion were destroyed or subdued, investigation began on the corruptive energies left behind began. The source wasn't found within Connection City, and the trail followed beyond stopped abruptly, seemingly wiped intentionally. The worst was assumed. Whoever corrupted Goldenrod Guardian and produced an army of familiars from her had joined the outsiders. It was almost a strange relief when a tower sprouted from victory park, reaching into the sky and giving off the seductive aura that had vanished for nearly a month. The battle could finally begin.

The game is officially in pre-launch recruiting. The game will start in a week from tonight or sooner if four players join. The player cap will be set at six. Any more will be placed on the waiting list in the event another player quits or goes silent.

For the unfamiliar, This is a dungeon-diving lewd role-playing game with a magical girl theme.

Ideally, scroll down to the link and read the rules document first, but if you're in a hurry to get your character in the minimum requirements are:

Post name as your character's name.

A brief summary of your character. Include a fitting image or/and a description of your character's appearance.

List three specialties, The first two should be your character's magical abilities The third should be a more mundane skill or trait, not dependent on magic.

The links below go to Etherpads, online documents editable by those with permission. The first goes to the game's rules document.

The second is for individual players to list their kink and fetish preferences. It's important for players to fill out sometime before the game gets rolling.

The third is a space for "extra" lewd writing, such as a more detailed version of in-game events.

Spent all day looking for art that I liked. Protip: if you have the same problem, know there was a contest in japan to submit magical girl designs themed around the different prefectures for some anime. Gelbooru has a bunch of the entries, a lot of cute designs. All original too (if you cared about the characters being recognizable like me). Most even come with a cute animal companion.

Anyway, to the character:

Silver Fenrir

A relatively new magical girl, Fenrir is a shy, quiet girl. She draws her power from the moonlight, and is at her peak ability during the full moon. She is a girl of smaller stature, standing at about chest level to most other girls, which is a big reason why she is so introverted. Nevertheless, she is very compassionate, and fiercely loyal to those she holds dear. With all the recent events of darkness spreading to her peers and stealing other girls away, she has mustered up the courage to take on the threat head on.

Specialties:

Moonlight Lance: An elegantly shaped weapon made of silver, her weapon shines brightly in the dark and grows more powerful when exposed to direct moonlight.

Tracking Sense: Her canine ears, powerful nose, and night-seeing eyes, Fenrir can easily determine the location of a target from the trail they left behind.

Pack Bonds: Fenrir is extremely loyal to her friends and allies, and would sacrifice anything and everything for them in a heartbeat.

I gotta say I'm excited to play, I hope we can get enough people to launch a game.

Welcome aboard! Even if it's just two players, I'll start the game within a week. Perhaps more people will join once things are started, seems to be going that way for EE.

I'm going to cautiously suggest avatar making flash "games" as another means of getting character images. They're my go-to while I try to learn to draw, but people seem to abhor them for the generic all-purpose poses.

Glad I caught this thread. I really hope people join in. And I guess it's time I post my character.

Swift Rogue Nia

Always prone to running away, Nia found herself in a quiet alleyway for the night. What was her reason for running away? She was just bored. Just a day or two away from her crowded household would be enough to clear her mind. But in a city she'd never been to before, and in the dead of night, she was surely lost and stranded. A stray cat approached her and sat before her, begging for a bite to eat. Although she didn't have much to give, her unhesitating offer of a bite of her candy bar was enough proof of her generosity. The girl had passed the test.

As a thank you, the unusual feline granted her the power to stand up for the weak and fight the forces of evil that threatened the balance between good and evil. Or, at least that's what she gathered from the magical furball before it disappeared in a ray of light. She stood up and noticed that she looked rather different, now sporting a cat tail and matching ears as well as a new set of clothes. Three hilts lay strapped to her thigh, the middle one transforming into an ornate poleaxe upon grasping, the other two sheathed throwing knives. Where the cat once stood lay a communication device. Whose voice was coming from the other side, she didn't know, but she was convinced she had work to do.

Specialties

Soul Weaponry: While she otherwise looks frail, her weapons carry all the girl's potential, allowing her to throw her knives with speed and accuracy and swing her poleaxe with power and ease.

Cat-like Agility: Her ears and tail aren't just for show. Their powers allow her to move quickly in short bursts, seemingly disappearing before dodging and striking.

Small and Flexible: Can squeeze into tight spots due to her diminutive stature.

By the way, I kind of forgot a semi-important note for character creation. Each of you needs a symbol to serve as your "game piece" on the map. Pick a simple object to represent your character, and decide what color it should be.

Ah, good That will do. Actually I just did a quick pixel trace, but I may redo it. Do you mind if I stretch it vertically to make it more square?

The game pieces will be 24x24, and since last round I have a slight OCD urge to make the icons touch all sides of the space so that they center nicely in the grid.

For an example of what the game pieces will look like, here's a link to a character key in the OOC thread:

reusing picture because picking out new ones is hard

Electric Idol

The necklace was given to her as a gift. She had worn it for years, not once suspecting that it held great power within. One day, a monster attacked her town. Reacting to the threat, the ancient accessory shattered to pieces, granting her it's long dormant magic.

Even though she has a few successful missions under her belt (including the investigation of the now infamous mansion), El still lacks confidence and considers herself a bit of a screw-up.

Specialties

Electric Burst: Idol generates bolts of lightning with her movements. Generally she launches them to keep her distance, but can switch to close-range swipes when caught off guard.

Thunderclap: A bright flash of light can startle enemies. Or at least gets their attention.

Dancer: What good is an idol girl without smooth moves? Thanks to her dancing lessons, she is a lot better at staying on her feet.

Pretend the outfit covers a little more than in the picture. Also, I took the liberty of filling out one of these preference sheets. I also included the blank one if any of you want to use it. Now then:

Crimson Inferno

Bestowed with the gift of the Dragon's Blood, Crimson is a passionate, straightforward girl, eager to mete out justice to the evildoers of the land. Sometimes a little too eager, as her hotheadedness oftens keeps her from thinking too much about things such as tactics. She seems to enjoy the thrill of competition, whether it's a friendly contest or a life and death battle. Her gift allows her to call upon the strength of the mighty wyrm, and grants her an affinity for elemental fire.

Specialties

Dragonflame: Crimson is able to command magical flames fueled by her own fighting spirit, attacking her enemy with blasts of fire or transforming her weapon into a burning hot justice delivery system.

Draco Might: By briefly calling upon the might of the dragon, Crimson can leap incredible distances, lift massive objects, and perform other superhuman acts of physical prowess.

Fitness: Crimson keeps herself in good shape, and has the strength and endurance to meet most mundane challenges.

That's four! I was looking at doing turns Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings about at midnight where I am, but I'm using GMT when it comes to interactions over the internet. Since we have four players less than one full day ahead of intended start, I'll officially start the game tonight.

That's a very thorough kinks list. Hmm, maybe I should go ahead and make a more focused one to get the playerpref document started. It'd be most convenient for me to have everyone's pref together, So I'm thinking a list of potential kinks and having a likers and haters list on each.

I'll be working on the pref doc throughout the day, feel free to add items or categories once I have the framework up.

"For those who haven't seen what just happened firsthand or on the news, that rumble was a tower shooting out of the ground. This is a high level threat and we need all the help we can get. If you're willing to join the battle meet up at the corner of the south district."

Across the highways from the tower, Purity Alchemist greeted the magical girls that showed up, running quick diagnostics on their communicators. After a pause in arrivals, she turned to Blue Cleric.

"Cleric, go with these four. You'll be using channel 8.6 If I get lone arrivals, I'm sending them to your group. Idol, if you can, fill them in about what we found in the mansion on the way." She finished, turning towards her laptop. "I see, group four fall back, you're merging into group two. Group two, push on ahead, you're taking up what's left of group four. Don't call for umbra, we think she might have been turned. Group six you've got-" She handles numerous calls over her headset as the group heads on to the tower.

"Welcome welcome!" Cry numerous voices as the magical girls enter the tower. A large group of maids bow to them, and a set of five each pour a cup of tea and offer it to one of the girls.

How to take a turn.

Summarize what your character is trying to do, and declare what dice you are using, followed by an in-character version. Example:

Examine the room to the west: normal

Silver Valkyrie hurries on ahead as the monster is defeated, calling back. "Let's not waste time, they're no doubt regrouping ahead of us."

"Right, well there were a bunch of weird plants. They were giving off spores that made us feel funny and messed with our minds. Goldenrod Guardian was in there, last I heard she was still recovering. And there was also… umm…"

Her voice trailed off at the scene that greeted them. A welcoming committee certainly wasn't what Idol had expected, especially after last time. "…that's very nice but…" Automatically she took hold of the cup that had been offered to her and stared into it. There's no way this isn't a trap, right? Looking up at the crowd of uniformed girls, she asked "If you don't mind me asking, what are you all doing here?"

The smaller girl nodded in agreement as her peers led her inside, her guard raising as soon as they were greeted by the strange maids. There was something definitely off about the welcome party. Even with this being her first real "mission" as a magical girl, she had expected a very different introduction. A monster of some kind. Sniffing the air tentatively, she looked the maids from head to toe, trying to figure out what they could possibly want with the group.

Well, okay then! third version, coming right up for you all!

Demon Slayer Isabel

'''specialties'

Holy Arms has a fighting style built around sword, shield, and other tools of her trade like wonderful boots. Crusader like - up front and in people's faces, sometimes mixing magick with blade.

Dark Sorceress an accomplished spellslinger, from a lineage of the same owing to a rather exotic deamonic curse. magic comes easier, flowing naturally - she has experience dealing with restorative and corruptive energies both, as well as a better command of generic magical girl powers(such as her uniform materializing). She draws upon dark energies as a matter of course, and sometimes it flavors her casting.

Monster Hunter A combination of skill, fitness, and study gives isabel well rounded(ahem!) assets to share with the team. Its not just about being able to fight against evil, but study their weaknesses too.

>>84844

Isabel is one of the last girls to clear the doorway, bringing up the rear and securing the outside. As a dire contrast to all of the struggles that have led this adventure into and out of the corrupt mansion in the city… a friendly welcoming leaves her shocked, staring a bit, hand-on-hilt and… backing down, but suspicious. Insidious is the way the corruption works - is this another one of the empresses perversions and little jokes?'

"Everyone here? Great - What's this, now?"

>>84942

"Lots of people have been coming in since the tower came out of the ground. Why don't you drink the tea? Maybe the captain will give you a uniform and you can help us!" The tea is dark, and there seems to be a violet glow radiating across the white ceramic of the cup along the fluid's edge.

>>84948

The maid looks back at her with a spacey smile that only softens a little as she's jabbed.

"You mean Lady Calista? She's like a wonderful goddess! When everyone stops fighting we'll have a big party and then we can spread her love to the world!"

The maid tilts her head a little as her smile widens.

"Oh, were you just breathing fire? You must be special! Lady Calista will make you a captain for sure!"

>>85034

The maid persistently holds the teacup and saucer in front of Silver's face as she tries to inspect the maid. The maids seem to all be human, there appear to be about a dozen of them in the room. They seem to be watching their "guests" eagerly.

"Group eight!" Alchemist's voice calls through everyone's communicators. "I've got another member for your team, she should be arriving soon."

>>85037

"Tea miss?" One of the maids says, offering the cup to her as she enters. They all seem to be wearing huge smiles, and a few of them seem to be swaying in place as they mill about the entryway. Their focus is mostly towards the group of magical girls, though a pair in the corner are pouring steaming water over a strainer filled with small leaves and tiny yellow and purple flowers.

Blue Cleric Glances at the teacup offered to her, then steps back to make a few gestures. A soft blue light in a rectangular shape starts to extend from her, swiftly enveloping the room. The maids all seem to shiver as it crosses them, and most of them begin to scatter, running for different nearby doorways.

"I feel funny." One says, staying in place. Another runs back, grabbing her and dragging her towards the nearest exit. "Come on! We have to get out of here or we'll turn normal again!"

"Why am I. . . Why did I. . ." the maid starts to say as it's pulled towards the exit.

More about dice

Typically, you might be able to use up to four dice for an action. The dice you may declare are:

Normal: Usable for most actions unless otherwise specified.

Competency: This is dependent on the specialties your character has. You should declare one of them when using this die

Indecency: This is a risk die, and if it rolls highest, you must roll an indecency check afterward. Fluff-wise, this should be represented as your character risking physical harm that may take a toll on their protective magical outfit.

Corruption: This is another risk die, and corruption should be checked if it rolls highest. Corruption risk should be represented as either drawing on the corrupt energy of the tower, or exposure to a strong source of corruption.

If the risk die tie for highest, you must check both Indecency and Corruption. You may roll checks from last turn during your next turn; declare them as the first die of your post. Generally this shouldn't be done if you need to check a status that's at 5, as whatever action you take may be nullified as you lose your magical specialties or become corrupted.

Condensed example:(5 d6)

Sever the tentacle holding Sugar Diva: Risk check, normal, competency, indecency, corruption

"Don't you dare touch her!" Crimson Axe screams as she runs forward, the head of her weapon sporting a very large flame, not caring about the other limbs as she charges for the one wrapped around Sugar.

Might just weaken one for later. She's hesitant to aim for a kill shot as she draws her two knives, knowing the girls can indeed be saved. Time seems to stop for a moment around the girl, the teacup staying in place in the air and slowly starting to drop as she draws her knives and throws, quickly launching them at the girl dragging the maid on the floor. The realization that all the maids were already corrupted girls came as a shock to her. Considering their numbers and how easily they seemed to retreat, they must not have been magical girls like her group, but innocent civilians captured by the dark powers of the tower. A command from Nia was all it took for her to spring into action. Summoning her weapon with a flash of white light, she made a sweep in an attempt to knock the two maids off their feet.

The girl manages to grab the tea, but has to ditch it right before getting slammed by the chair launched at her. It spills onto the floor nearby, the teacup shattering on impact. She drops to one knee, a little battered but fine otherwise. Nia calmly walks over and picks up her knives, holstering them. She could have recalled them easily to their sheathes as they were tied to her soul, but she decided to be dramatic until the situation called for it.

The smaller girl let out a relieved sigh as she let go of her lance, the weapon instantly disappearing in a flutter of sparkles. She had no desire to hurt the girls, but in the heat of the moment, a certain predatory instinct commanded most of her actions. Luckily, the maids seemed to be fine save for a few cuts and bruises. Still she looked over to her senior, the magical girl known as Blue Cleric. "They'll be fine…right?" She spoke up in a soft voice, referring to the numerous maids being slowly purified across the room.

"So it's maids now?" Alchemist comments in response. "Going by that the captain in charge of watching the first floor has probably changed recently. Well, at least it seems the other groups have made a dent so far. Try to get moving, depending on how long it takes to fully infect someone, the tables could turn in a bad way fast."

Electric idol seems to soothe most of the maids through the transition, though two of them notice that the exit is no longer blocked and run further into the tower.

Just checking in counts as you not being idle, so there's that. Also, think of your character being limited to one action per turn, with IC conversations being free. Also, stepping into the next room once someone else has examined it is free as well, allowing you to go ahead and use your action to deal with something another player found during the last turn.

"Well, it's hard to say. The nature of the corruption seems to be addictive to some degree. We had to bar Goldenrod from the lab to keep her from trying to expose herself to the samples. Last I knew she was being rushed out of the city. I saw a few people sent to us while I was on standby with Alchemist. I assume they were the ones less affected. It's kind of been decided not to spend too much time getting them out when we could be tackling the source."

Isabel beams at the electric idol making their way over to get her back, not only smiling, but a hand reaching out to welcome EI to her side - either be a small hug, a hand at her back to take her aside for girl talk while they adventure, or maybe even both! After all they've been through together, isabel feels a certain kinship for the girl… maybe a little bit like she has a shy, secret admirer. Her magical uniform is looking as dashing and daring as ever, and for once, undamaged from battle. Her silver cross dangles around her chest, somewhere in the round area where the battle-corset ends and her neck begins - "I'm glad to see you to, idol"

But isabel laughs at her words, knowing full well the trouble her go-get-her attitude gets her and everyone else in. The slayer opens her mouth to reply more - and blushes instead as she remembers something, dark skin reddening.

"Hey, not so close." Idol had expected a bit of a struggle from the uniformed girls, what she didn't anticipate was a soothing massage from both sides as she escorted them back. Her movement wasn't hindered, but as they walked the pair took hold of her and began to squeeze against her slim frame. Feeling lightheaded as she reached the door, El pushed it open and was relieved to hear the girls' complaints. Not only was the barrier holding, it seemed to have an adverse effect on the flowers themselves. "Aww. Well maybe you can figure something out? The harpy makes another fierce shriek as it makes a short hop, clawing at Silver with it's talons. She manages not to get scratched long enough for Nia to come in.

The Harpy's maid dress seems to be cut easily enough, and the harpy seems not to be bothered by the fact that it's dress falls open in front, though she doesn't quite reach the harpy's wing.

And the first opposition rolls! The previous campaign was made of these. There's going to be less fighting in this round, but things are spiced up because opposition die can reduce roll quality. While a tie goes in favor of the player, it counts more like getting a 1 on a normal roll. I decided to go with part of what was attempted failing instead of going for a indecency check.

"Glad I decided to keep an ear out. I forgot some of you might not be up to speed on what we know from the mansion." Alchemist says to the group through their communicators.

"Are you looking at something that doesn't seem quite human? It's probably a familiar; Especially if it outright attacked you. You can take those out if you feel the need to, they'll just melt eventually anyway. It could maybe be a corrupted magic user as well, but expect those to be trickier than a monster. I don't think they'll try to make monsters out of the bystanders they catch, even if they have anyone that can do that. The captains seem to. . . Reeeeealy enjoy making familiars."

The trap has been thoroughly observed, so maybe that should count as sort of disarming it.

Electric Idol and Isabel find themselves in what looks at first like a winding hallway, but after hitting some confusing intersections, it seems to be more of a labyrinth. The walls seem to mismatch the floors, and there's a small gap fro the ceiling. Seems the room itself was originally more open, but these walls were brought in to stop or at least slow invaders. Looking int the narrow gap doesn't reveal much, there's something of a grid over the top that the walls perhaps fit into, obscuring the layout. However, they can see archways in the distance, at least telling them the general location of the exits.

Follow Idol's Lead/Turn the party towards TROUBLE normal die

"I'll let you in on a secret." Isabel comments as they explore. "Its the boots. Really. They make me taller, and…. " Isabel blushes slightly, but admits the truth to a companion. "The more people look at them, the less they notice your confidence. Its an image thing… maybe we can find you a pair that works with your magical outfit? I can't easily get rid of mine because its part of the outfit…"

Isabel sounds almost a little jealous there, mostly because her brand of magic comes with it's own baggage and hastle.

The demonslayer has been following Idol's lead while they talked! As idol turns to ask her things, isabel pauses and can't resist teasing the explorer. "Each other, no?" But she's messin with the gadget the whole team's been given. "..I think the communicators can do that. Ah! nia and fenrir are to our right. We can meet up with them, or press on in search of FUN.

Isabel's entheusiasm for a fight pauses for a moment, as her gets a look. "I think you know what my preference is, but… this place is too quiet. It feels like we're just waiting for the trap to be sprung."

The Harpy seemed to be fully bare under the dress as it falls open while it lashes at Silver. It's figure is toned, but petite, having subtle hips and barely any breasts to mention. It takes advantage of her decision to get an eyeful before striking, but when Nia ultimately strikes it seems to fall apart into a puple mist and gray feathers, the cut open dress being the only other remains.

While Isabel gains a big-picture sense of direction, it does little to help them navigate the small maze. However the demonslayer manages to lead her partner to a doorway. A glance at the room doesn't reveal much. The floor is tiled with a checkered pattern, and there's some nice sturdy pillars along the walls, but it really seems like there's nothing in here.

A few sliding and clicking sounds echo from the room they just left.

Venture into the north room: Normal

Silver held her arm in pain as the Harpy scratched away at it. Luckily most of the impact had been absorbed by her magic, but it still stung just a bit. More present in her mind however, was the condition of the rest of her pack. "Are you all right?" She asked Nia, a look of clear concern on her face.

After the two tended to their wounds, the smaller girl would rise to her feet, eager to continue the hunt onward. "Let's keep moving." She said before bravely pushing open the door to her north.

"Fun? You mean a fight, don't you?" Idol let Isabel lead the way, occasionally peeking over her shoulder to see how far away the other two were. Left, right, left, left, straight, right again, they had to be going in circles, right? There's no way the room was this big. But none of the halls looked terribly familiar so…

At long last the pair found a way out and found… An empty room. "Well, at least it's more open here. Those small hallways were freaking me out. I was afraid something was going to jump out every time we turned a corner."

She started making her way across the room, keeping an eye on those columns as she walked. Truthfully, she was a bit distracted by what the other girl had said Maybe I should change up my look a bit. Those boots she has do look fun, and it's not like I have to wear the same thing every time right?

Nia's poleaxe shimmers before reverting back to just a hilt, which she attaches back to the belt on her leg. She watches the harpy dissolve, with just a torn dress and feathers leaving any evidence of a fight. "I'm alright," she responds to Silver. "More importantly, how's your arm?" The girl walks over and reaches out, her gloved hand on Silver's arm as she takes a closer look at her scratches. It's lucky their magic mitigates most injury. The catgirl gives her partner a wide smile, glad it's nothing to worry about.

She looks on ahead and follows Silver into the next room. Behind her, Nia uses the opportunity to check their heights. If she tiptoes, she thinks, perhaps she could be just a little taller than Silver. Otherwise, it seems they are both similar heights.

Complications

Complications are like status ailments in your typical RPG, but rather than a list of possible ailments, complications are likely going to be unique in each case. The effects will be described when one happens. Some complications will wear off on their own, others will stick until you find a way to remove the curse-like condition. In all cases, a character can not use their own normal die in an attempt to remove their own complication. Instead they must use a relevant specialty and/or risk rolls, or get help from an ally.

Silver steps into the next room, finding it to be some sort of supply room, and a cluttered one at that. It feels like everything might fall over at any minute.

>>87503

As EI wandered across the room, A click sounded as she stepped into one of the checkered areas. The floor fell just enough to visibly indent against the rest, seemingly not a drop trap like the earlier room. However a chandelier overhead seems to slide sideways before dropping above the idol.

A look upward would show that there's potentially more where that came from, not only lighting fixtures, but a few glass statues seem to be hanging overhead as well.

However as she watched her friend try to put it down and fail to let go, it dawned on her that something might be wrong. Her mind flashed back to the maids from before, this was a picturesque tool for them. And in a place like this, chances were good it was no ordinary duster. "Hey…are you alright Nia?" She felt her arm being tugged in the direction of the nearest shelf, which startled her. Upon closer inspection, the object was a feather duster, something a stereotypical maid would have. Nia did find the outfits cute, but didn't want to be stuck as a maid here!

Immediately at Silver's questions she shook her head in response. "I can't drop it. This thing is controlling my arm." She looked a little worried. The girl knew she should expect anything, but was not enjoying losing control of her body. She positions herself so that the duster could be pried from her hand, but upon Silver falling she realizes this isn't going to work.

Thumbing the magical device while Isabel carried her gave a simplified map of the floor as well as a bunch of info on the other groups that has gone in. But that could wait until the gang was in the clear.

"Oh, uhh… did it look like it would fit? I must have missed those. We can head… What is that." A few drops of water splashed on the duo as the creature landed. It's arrival was just as puzzling as it's form, it was clearly some sort of familiar, but… a mop girl? No, more likely some sort of water elemental aligned to cleaning duty. Not wanting to waste time, she asks her guardian to give her a little spin so she can zap the new arrival.

"Nia!" The girl shouted as the metal bar slammed hard into her ally, sending her sprawled onto the floor. Silver quickly assessed the damage as she dropped to her knees beside Nia. Luckily, her magical outfit seemed to have absorbed most of the impact, but her uniform was not in good shape. Over time it had degraded to a weak level, she wasn't sure how much more the girl could take.

Silver carefully cradled her head as she helped get the girl off the floor some."Nia…maybe we should go find the others. You look hurt." There was a very genuine concern in her voice as she tended to her wounded team mate. It had been long since Silver really having friends, and Nia had been so nice to her so far. It pained her to see her take a hit like that.

Well, you kind of should know from the last game that when you're fighting the risk die is mandatory. Monsters are now part of the Hazard category, and if your character is in a room with a hazard, the indecency risk is mandatory for all actions.

Electric Idol handily shocks the strange mix of human, octopus and mop. Albeit the same time one of it's soaked-heavy limbs lash at her.

Electric Idol Takes an indecency check

Isabel sweeps by, handily carrying her towards the safe room.

"Group eight, I've exchanged out one of your team members. She should be meeting up with cleric soon."

As the two of them arrive, they spot Cleric stowing a smartphone just as they enter.

>>89187

This is more of a role-playing action, so ignoring the roll. Still counts as you being active though.

Surprise!

The Surprise Die Is a little thing that has been in the works. All players have a hidden aggro stat that counts up things that I as DM think would grab the attention of the dark empress amid the chaos of heroes invading her fortress. I'm planning on rolling a die once a week. If your aggro is higher than the roll, something will target your character! The severity of the something will depend on the roll, as will the amount your aggro goes back down.

The shadows in the odd eggbeater room seem to gather in one place and become darker as they grow into a dark circle on the wall. A clang sounds as something seems to leap out of the dark void before the shadows start to return to where they were. Something looking like an oversized frying pan sitting face-down had emerged, and began charging at Nia!

Nia is sent flying back, sliding across the floor, obviously taken by surprised by such a hit. She holds onto her side, her suit having sustained most of the damage but still in some pain. Her sleeves are visibly ripped, the hem of her skirt tattered, and her top frayed, especially where the bar hit. She whimpers a little in Silver's care, visibly shaken, but is able to get to her feet well enough. "That might be for the best, let's go back and reassess. Also.." Idol hadn't considered it before, but it was possible the layout of the tower itself was some kind of trap, rooms off to the side and linking in weird was, just begging to be explored, buying time for the tower to do its work. But that tone Isabel picked up, it seemed a bit… sultry. Yeah, no illusion here, the warrior was definitely teasing her. "It's alright, I like helping around. Nia, Fenrir, pleased to meet you!" Marina said with a cheerful tone. "If you need any help getting to places, don't hesitate to ask me. Alright?"

After making sure all of the group's members were in a good condition to move forward, she looked at the different doors around the room, one of them must be the one Nia and Fenrir came through, so that only made it clear, there's two routes to explore.

"Hmm, we should get back with Isabel. But we have to keep exploring this place as well. If we move quickly through it, the evil magic surrounding it shouldn't have too much of an effect on us…"

Marina looked at the north doorway, then at the one on the east. Since Nia was checking that one, Marina went north, cautious with a firm grip on the chains of her anchor. She gulped, closed her eyes and took a deep breath. When she opened her eyes, her bubbly expression was gone for a serious, yet relaxed look in her eyes, she examined the north room, looking carefully for traps or monsters in order to react quickly if something approached her from the darkness.

A touch of a pleasant high starts to seep into Isabel, at the very least making her feel less worried about what was to come.

In the next room, not far from the doorway is a pile of very large feathers in and around a very large maid uniform with tall arm holes. There's a few towers full of blinking lights almost making a room within a room. In the center there's a hissing sound. When Isabel's investigation of the room takes her that way, she finds a woman spraying paint over some computer screens.

"Shit!" She exclaims when she notices Isabel approaching.

"I aint joinin ya stupid cult bitches!" She shouts before throwing a spray can at Isabel, which clanks against the floor a moment before exploding. The distraction would have been enough to cover her escape, but moments later there's another burst before she comes running back from the east.

"Fine, I'll take my chances one on one!"

A light shines from her left hand as she seems to pull a long section of pipe from the ether.

When things have settled, the maid is gone and there are huge gaps in the floor between doorways.

It is with a small smile on her face that isabel waltzes into the room, feeling rather good about that little display of casual magic - and…. possibly helping lead to this misunderstanding!

"Whoa, hay hey, we're not with the creepy maids here!" Isabel tries to explain in a hurry, but only ends up coughing a bit at the paint-can distraction "We're the rescue team!"

"Why are you here, anyway? Because it looks like you're spray-tagging the empress calista's things, and THAT makes me think we should be on the same team here. I'm Isabel - who are you? If we're going to do this, at least tell me who you are!"

Stiill, talking fast isn't great for clarity, and Isabel's foot slides back in ready stance with shield raised up, prepared but with words leading. When the other side seems to have made up their mind about attacking, she might just have to brawl some sense into them!

The demonslayer's weapon is raised with hesitation, the prospect of a needless fight clashing with the rush of sorcery and rush, the anticipation of an imminent fight happening. Blood pounding, reading the situation, seeing which way the cookie crumbles…

… but somehow, isabel kind of suspects blows will have to happen before talking anyway. This punk just looks to have an in your face style like that, and isabel thinks that she may have to prove herself a fellow tough nut to get some respect before talking.

"Oww….That hurts… Hm?" Upon recovering from the hit, Marina looked around the room, the maid that set up the trap was gone. Aside from the gaps across the floor, it seemed like the room was clear of any risk.

As she was inspecting herself for any injuries, Marina noticed that her magical attire had taken some damage. Her blue dress became even more revealing due to a tear, showing more cleavage.

Marina groaned, trying to bring the torn ends back together. "Why~? Wearing a dress like this is embarrassing enough, and now this?"

She gave up on it with a sigh. "Well, I can't do anything about it for now…"

Marina focused her attention on the doorways, then looking at the floor and the maze of gaps across the room.

She examined the floor, looking for a way that would lead her to the next room. Possibly jumping the gaps if they were narrow enough.

Silver was prepared to follow Marina northward, when an explosion of yellow came from the west door and covered Nia in a cloud of paint. An attack? At this point Silver was prepared for an assault from all sides, so without a second thought she rushed westward and drew her weapon.

Finding Isabel standing off against the gasmask wearing girl, Silver assumed the worst. Her allies had been in danger too many times today for her to waste time hesitating. With an aggressive growl, the girl pounced at the stranger, lance poised to stab at her.

It's not like it's just a bluff, she gets a hit or two in, but ultimately she's undisceplined and takes a few hits as she forces Isabel to retalliate. What should have been bodily harm seems to only show some tears in her clothes. Isabel manages to slice her pipe in two, causing her to scramble away as it vanishes. The punk girl summons skates onto her shoues.

"Whatever, I'm done playing with you!"

The gaps along the floor prove not to be too daunting, at least for someone with the kind of boost to agility that comes with magical powers in general.

In the next room she doesn't spot the maid from earlier, but does notice that there are a lot of small holes in the walls, and a few arrows stuck in walls or laying on the floor.

The punk girl's escape was cut off as Silver charged in. She tries to roll away but isn't able to get far before Fenrir is able to get in front of her again. "…I have a bad feeling about this room." Having noticed both the holes and the arrows all over the room, Marina knew that those holes were most likely arrow traps. She had to move around very carefully to avoid triggering them.

But what's the trigger? Could be tripwires? A switch, maybe? And where is it?

Without moving from her position, Marina held the chain of her anchor, flailing it around the proximity, letting the anchor fall on the floor tiles, attempting to trigger the traps while making sure to stay clear from their estimated direction.

She eventually takes a room to talk with the rest of the group through the comm device.

"Hey, it's Marina. How are things going on your end?" The clanking sound of the chain is heard while she's speaking, followed by the noise of the anchor smashing the ground. "Have you found Isabel?"

El stared into the dark diamond, trying to crack whatever secrets last hidden inside. It really was marvelous the way it caught caught the light of the room, reflecting and splitting within its sharp-cut edges. The detailing on this stone that seemingly came from nowhere was amazing, it would have taken human hands weeks to chisel such fine markings into it, tracing them with her eyes the girl began to unravel the pattern, but just when the loop was about to close a new design seemed to emerge. and then another. And then 2 new sequences revealed themselves in the light trapped inside the stone's fractal labyrinth, splitting into even more paths that divided the dim light even more. So close. If she just looked inside a bit longer something would reveal itself. She could see the mirrored walls spilling their secrets, speaking in a language of spinning lights and sharing the truth. The absolute truth that was just within reach, about to touch her, slowly making its way inexorably forward until

"Wah!"

Something hit her? Electric Idol rolled up off the floor, feeling like she'd just been smacked in the face. Like someone was reaching for her hand, but slipped at the last second and feel into her instead. Nia is surprised by the scene. A nearly topless girl about to get pummeled by Isabel and Silver. "Whoa wait wait wait, one of the maids when we entered said something about others being taken hostage. Could this girl be one?" She slowly approaches the group, visibly anxious. "And, there's something else that might end up being more of a problem." She draws a knife and points the blade to the maid dress in the room. "Sil and I fought a harpy a few rooms back, but she was much smaller. This," she pauses, looking up at the towers of lights, "I think belongs to a roc. We need to move, quickly."

Marina's anchor strikes the ground causing arrows to fly right over the areas she triggers traps. Pressure plates under a several of her strikes break.

Some faint whirring and clicking can be heard inside the walls, followed by more arrows whizzing through the air. Where Marina broke the floor sensors more arrows are fired in unison. The dress and feathers certainly matched that of the harpy from earlier, besides the much larger side. The dress was half-buried in the giant feathers, if the creature that left them was still around it must have been plucked clean somehow.

That aside, this certainly seemed to be a computer room of some kind. Towers blowing warm air and dotted with LEDs stood around the screens at the center, connected with a web of wires. Screens aside, they seemed mostly untouched, save for a yellow stripe along a few that swept down along the floor to the monitors.

Complication, entranced: Electric Idol suddenly craves praise and affection, and to hear more of that mysterious voice. Every active turn, roll a check for entrancement. The current entrancement level acts as an opposition die for all actions.

Had an idea that seemed fun last night, but was far too limiting when I started thinking out how to describe it. This rework is more complicated, but less crippling.

It took a little convincing, but after some time Silver determined this Lizzie character was not an enemy. As long as she wasn't going to cause trouble, there seemed to be no reason to be hostile. On that note, the girl dismissed her weapon, keeping a stern stare on the roller skating girl. Just because she wasn't an enemy now, didn't mean she could be trusted. And all the while, she never once noticed El being affected by the computer behind her.

"There's nothing here for us. We should move on." She said simply. The giant harpy had been defeated so it seemed, and Marina was still out there looking for a way up the tower. She was determined to help. She prepared herself and made her way west, perhaps running in a bit too recklessly.

She points to the screen with the constellation-like image. "And does TK ring a bell?" Suddenly, Nia has an idea. She reaches into her pocket and pulls out the disk she had found before. interesting. Seems dangerous, I can dig it

Is this live? It seemed like a recording, but how long ago was it made? And why was it buried in a porn folder??? It didn't look like any room they had been in (not that she could recall at least), but it was in this building, right? It wasn't talking to her. Well, it felt like she was, but it was a pretty one-sided conversation, wasn't it? Maybe someone else on the team had seen a suspicious looking winged girl. Might be a good place to start. "Hey, did you…" What? Idol turned to ask if anyone else had…

Wait what DID she? There was something important about the… What she had… In the… You know, when she was talking to… "uhh… s-snake?" Play it off. "Yeah, there was a…" and she lost it.

Anyway, Silver was right. We need to keep moving! With any luck she would get to the bottom of this whole mess on her own! Everyone would love her if she did that! She'd be a hero! Maybe even get some special recognition, her own hand picked team to lead! Goaded on by thoughts of glory and adoration, she ran north, a trail of sparks burning a path behind her.

Seeing the maids just , Marina felt the need to burst in and send them back to the Blue Cleric, possibly getting some info out of them. But she was afraid that she wouldn't be able to block their escape routes, since there were two of them.

She tapped the communicator before speaking carefully so the maids wouldn't hear her voice. "Girls, I found some maids up here, in the last room to the right. Maybe they could know something useful if we capture and get them purified."

In the meantime, she thought of another tactic. Maybe she could fool them into thinking that she was a maid as well, if she could find a good disguise in the room. Otherwise, she might have to use some energy to morph her magical attire into something similar to their dresses, which could come in handy later on. But since that kind of magic wasn't within her natural talents it would probably come with a higher cost.

Idol walked through the rooms so quickly that Marina didn't get a chance to see her before she started looking around.

After an extensive search for somewhere to insert the disc, she doesn't find anywhere the large metal circle would begin to fit. She seems left behind by the others who have fanned out to explore the the tower firsthand. During a final check of the computers to find a slot for the disc, she notices one of the wiped screens shows a four shots of empty rooms and one video of a serpent woman heavily petting a girl with calico cat ears. The other display still shows the constellation, though it seems to have changed shape a little.

>>91341

As Electric Idol enters the next room, she sees another harpy wearing a maid dress; with the addition of a chain around the waist and shoulder connected to a somewhat familiar-looking metal disc. The creature is facing away from her, and seems not to have noticed her approach.

>>91367

There wasn't an outfit handy anywhere Marina could see, but with a little effort and the others for reference; She was able to modify her magical outfit into a decent likeness of what the tower's maids were wearing, if navy and sky blue instead of black and white.

When she stepped into the next room, the maids seemed not to take notice of her; continuing to chat with each other.

"I bet you feel so much better now. I wasn't so bad off myself, but all the same having all my worries and fears melt away is wonderful."

The one facing towards her even smiled at her when she drew close, but then a net fell from the ceiling and wrapped around Marina before lifting her a bit off the ground.

Complication, netted: Next action has 1d6 opposition.

"A trap triggered, She's not with us!"

"Wait what? No way, my girls aren't after any of that silly bullcrap they were selling. Though I'm just a little worried about Sammy- uh, one of them. One of the betters was keeping an eye on her but still, Some of those traps are pretty dangerous."

Lizzy ends up wandering after Isabel as she heads south.

"Well, since you put the squeeze on me, why don't you tell me why you're here? You seem pretty serious about something. You know who made this place? Got beef with them?"

Whether because of the other girl distracting her, or she simply forgot about them, Isabel ends up hitting a trip wire. A large metal arm swings down from the ceiling parallel to the wire, tipped with a half-circle of hooked barbs.

Her eyes eventually pan over to the scene of a catgirl being pleasured by a lamia. The girl didn't look like her, thankfully, but were they familiars that had been summoned here? She didn't want to meet up with them, if that was the case. She looks back over to her original screen and noticed one of the stars moved. Are these stars tracking us? As Nia tries to proceed to the last room connected to the north hallway, cackling laughter echoes from overhead. A dark shiny figure drops into view.

"What a cute cat! But this won't do!" Says a person in a leather suit, uniform? It's hard to tell, and also hard to guess whether they'd consider themselves male, female, or neither. The androgynous person waves their arm, and a band of material extends, spooling around Nia's waist a bit before bursting out in different directions and grabbing at her limbs.

"Much better, a real cat goes about on all fours." When the material has settled, Nia's ankles are bound to her thighs and her hands are encased in paw-shaped mittens.

Complication; Pet bound: Normal die is disabled until this complication is removed.

The leather-clad person steps closer before stopping suddenly.

"I'll be there soon, I just need to bring. . . Change of plans kitten, Promise to play with me later if someone else drags you in first."

As they're speaking, the shadows in the room gather under them a few moments, becoming a hole they fall through.

How traps are working now

As you may have seen last turn, there's a new icon for traps. (The foot over a button.) Earlier in this game, they activated when someone entered a room, with a chance to force a status check or other handicap. This tended to make them do nothing as they showed up at times, and kind of wound up being a "hazard" with only one chance to work, making them kind of under-powered IMO. Now what I do is take hidden opposition rolls. (If they were shown they'd reveal the trap, which is supposed to be a hidden element.) If it beats your action roll, whatever you attempt will be interrupted by whatever trap. Obviously beware suspiciously empty rooms, but that's not going to be the only place they are.

You can find them on a good roll when examining a room, but no risk no reward. "Peeking" from the relative safety of where you're at currently will only show you the layout and non-hidden elements, no matter how good you roll.

After a moment for surprise and adrenaline spiking to fade, isabel calms down enough to continue. She seems rather non-plussed about her undress, looking down at herself and sighing. its one of those 'oh, again' moments.

"And help me to the other side of this room, would you? You seem to have good luck surviving this place so far." Surprised that her acting actually worked, Marina was thankful to the maid for releasing her from the trap. But she was confused.

Was this maid really under the Empress' influence? Could it be that she was resilient to the dark magic surrounding the tower? Or maybe she was just that gullible?

Marina wants to believe her and ask what she's doing here, but it's hard to trust her just like that. If she's not careful, she could end up in trouble.

So she thought the best thing to do would be to keep the act going while trying to get her to say something useful.

"Huh?…REALLY?! You really didn't taste any of it? Girl, you're missing on something! It's so delicious, and it makes your body feel really good.~ Ah, if only I could have more of it…" Marina tried to act as best as she could like someone who was already addicted to that tea.

"Oh, I know! Come with me, let's go get some tea before they come and scold us!" Marina held the maid's hand, pulling her along towards the doorway that she came from. Then she stopped. "On a second thought…I kind of want to be punished eheheh…" Marina felt disgusted at herself, like she just had delivered the cheesiest line ever. But as long as it could make the maid believe that she's one of the Empress' servants, pretending to be a masochist pervert was something that she could do.

Marina promised herself that once this was over, she would avoid mentioning that she said something as embarrassing as that.

This can be attempted after your indecency has reached six, but instead of taking a corruption check, your corruption will go up one point automatically.

As Marina enters the room, she encounters Nia wiggling on the floor, showing her cute sky blue panties on their full glory to the women coming into the room. The sight obviously took Marina by surprise, getting her a bit flushed and turned around.

It seemed like her friend could need some help, but first she'd have to deal with the girl coming along with her.

Before Nia could blow her cover as a maid, Marina took advantage of the unsuspecting maid and rolled a chain around the maid's legs. The chain was attached to her anchor, which Marina leaves on the floor to pin her in place.

"I'm sorry for trying to deceive you after you saved me back there. But I must know before I can trust you. Who are you and what are you doing here? I won't let you go until you've answered. I might even get you out of here like I had planned before your friend trapped me."

While asking the questions, Marina starts running a corruption check on the maid to make sure she's not evil.

Keep the maid from leaving and free her from any corrupted influence: Normal, Anchors Aweigh!, Corruption, Room Risk?

Dangit, I need to hurry up and make an icon for NPCs that have become important. Also, the die you have to roll when there's a hazard is your normal indecency die, which counts toward your success, but demands a indecency check when it rolls higher than the rest.

So you kind of rolled a perfect 6 that also demands an indecency check then re-rolled a 5. Since you were confused, I'll take the first roll.

As I want to be sure is clear; Re-rolls do not eliminate status checks, the whole reason re-rolls are unlimited is because if you re-roll a lot you might accumulate multiple checks against your status in a single turn.

Nia struggles with the knife until it eventually drops out of her mouth, blade hitting the floor and causing the extremely sharp edge to bounce back up. She leans back to try and prevent herself from being hit, but she does so too late, causing a tear down the front of her outfit. Her top ends up fine, but her skirt and panties take damage in particular, ripping a hole directly in front. Were it only her skirt, she could easily try and patch it up, but her panties are ruined in the process, creating a rip in a rather inopportune area and leaving her crotch exposed. With her legs and hands still bound, she has to be careful as to not flash Marina behind her, but in her position on all fours, it would take great effort not to do so.

Nia quickly turns around, embarrassed at both her position and the condition of her outfit. She hopes Marina didn't see too much, and picks the knife back up between her teeth, but quickly notices something is up. Marina has a maid outfit on, but even worse is the obviously brainwashed maid right next to her.

The maid seems a little suprised when Marina chains and anchors her to the floor. She stares curiously at the bindings around her legs.

"Well my name is Samantha, we came in here when my sister- wh-wait, you want to take me away? No! I don't want to leave! I'm tired of being surrounded by scary people! Let me go! leave me alone!"

The maid squirms and thrashes about, held securely by the chain and anchor, but she does manage to lash out at Marina in her attempts to get free.

Marina must take an indecency check

The maid doesn't seem to have any magical potency, and for that reason it's not surprising that the corruption in the air has started to infect her. She hasn't been totally taken yet, but she's well on her way there.

>>92368

With another electric strike, yet another harpy starts to vaporize. Feathers burst out and spin to the ground gently surrounded by a violet mist. A few lingering static carges spark amid the cloud as it seems to gather into one place, forming into a crystal and falling atop the maid dress and pile of feathers.

>>92380

The risk dice still have to be clear winners to force a check, so you didn't need teh double-check on your reroll since your competency tied.

"Well, I don't mind that one bit!" Lizzy says, taking her pole to the wall."

Isabel's strike decimates the octo-mop-maid, leaving it soon dissolving into a mass of bubbles. The grape is easy enough to pull up, and reaching into the suds she finds another round metal plate.

"Whoah! Nice!" Lizzy shouts as she climbs out of a hole in the wall, wearing a white gauntlet and armguard.

"Well, this maybe makes things worth the trip. So nice job there, I'll be getting out of your way then. I'm going to make sure my girls made it back to the place."

The already panicked maid ducks as she sees the knife flung at her, curling up almost into a fetal position.

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! leave me alone!" She shouts, starting to cry.

Suprise!

Suddenly an oversized whisk seems to drop from the ceiling, landing in front of Electric Idol. The instrument seems to be just a bit longer than she is tall before the loops of wire start to change shape, twisting a little to serve as limbs as it starts to crawl towards her.

She remains there on her knees, watching the interaction between Marina and the maid, ready to fling another knife if needed. She raises her paw covered hand and summons the knife back in front of her.

"Guests? I assume it's the rest of the maids right?" She notices Marina's gaze on her skirt and stammers, quickly placing a hand between her legs. "I'm kind of tied up here, a familiar covered in leather appeared and trapped me like this. I, um, would be cool with this but not at this time and place!"

Summon poleaxe to use to break right leg bond, gloves, then left bond: Competency, Indecency

Nia falls back onto her bottom, legs spread, and looks to her left holster. If she can summon her poleaxe in this position, the force of the summon should not only break the leather but also allow her a stationary opportunity to cut her gloves off. Naturally, she could then use her knife to slice the left bondage. "Um, try not to look in this direction unless you hear something weird, kind of exposed in this position!"

I already rolled for indecency back there and failed.

After listening to Samantha and sending Nia back to Blue Cleric, Marina could notice how the frilly skirt of her dress got much shorter, showing her full legs. At first glance, it didn't make much of a difference due to the way the puffy skirt barely covered the upper leg, but now, any sudden movement, or the blow from a weak air current, would be enough to have Marina flashing her daring red panties.

Upon this realization, Marina sighed heavily with resignation.

After hearing to Electric Idol's transmission, she noticed that she was actually fighting in one of the rooms just next to her location. "When did she even get in there?!" Was her first thought.

Then, she looked back at the chained maid. She didn't have much time if she wanted to help her ally, so she had to be as straightforward as possible, avoiding being blunt or scary. "I will let you go now, but I can't let you stay in this tower. This isn't a good place for you, or anyone, for that matter. You may believe otherwise, but you're slowly getting brainwashed the more you stay here. It's filled with traps and monsters, you've seen it. If they spot you, you're going to get punished for releasing me, and they won't seem as nice anymore." Marina walked up to the girl. "I'm glateful that you helped me back there, though. Let me repay you, alright?" Marina's state was peaceful, and the feeling was contagious. The tone of her voice was tame, and her smile reflected the calming feel of a pond in the middle of the forest.

As she spoke, she was already casting her magic boat for Samantha.

Marina wasn't naive, though. If the corruption made the girl resist, her plan B would be to push her into the boat without releasing her from the her binds, even if that would leave her without the longer range that chain provide to her attacks.

A vision of a black and white spotted cat appears before her, only visible to her at first as the world and all sound begins to slow. From an outside view, this entire process looks strange. Before she lets herself go into the trance, she reaches out for Cleric and draws her into a shared vision, then gets on all fours and reaches out to the kitty between them. Upon brushing her glove covered hand against its cheek, the room melts away and is replaced with a yellow, shimmering void. She closes her eyes and focuses as her clothes begin to reform over her body. The hilts of her weapons glow as her soul energy is brought forth, appearing as yet another light over her. It sits between her cat ears and melts back inside of her as she rises to her feet. With the help of Cleric keeping the tower's darkness at bay, she is revitalized and her outfit restored.

Just as quickly as the process began, it ends. The room is restored to normal for the two of them and the cat is nowhere to be seen. She opens her eyes and smiles widely to the Cleric. "Thank you! I feel better already, I think!"

"Dang, liz, this is not the time to freak out!" She hurries to keep up, and calls into her wrist while she moves. "...Blue, do we have a sammy or samantha in the safe zone?" Isabel somewhat blurts into the comms.

Nimbly dodging the swinging metal barbed arm and tripwire(or trying to!), isabel hurries to catch up with the other girl. Crossing the traps, isabel puts her hand on the other girl's arm. on the girls arm to keep up. "Elizabeth!" taking a guess at her real name. "Calm down. There's a good chance we have her already, safe. If we haven't found her yet, that only means she's deeper inside. You gonna stick with us, or what? We haven't checked THIS room yet. "

Frustrated with the traps and having to cross them so often, and still armed with her sword, isabel decides to simply slash the tripwire whichever way they go as they exit.

Holding up the communicator to show the slayer smiles and tries to reassure. "You'll know when I do, okay?"

Slight pause."Who's sammy?"

Samantha seemed a bit worried as Marina warned her, but didn't seem anywhere near convinced to go quietly.

"No! where are you sending me? I don't want to go!"

It ultimately seemed necessary to keep her anchored in order to prevent her from running off back into the tower.

"Alright, she's here." Blue cleric calls over the communicator to confirm her arrival.

>>92891

Despite the distraction, the creature goes down easily enough, seeming to be one of the weaker creatures as it falls to the ground and untangles as it becomes more normal in size.

>>93231

Silver traverses the supply room without incident and arrives as the whisk is still settling to the floor.

>>93239

For this case, just exposure.

Blue tried to focus on the metal disc as Nia re-assumes her transformation. Looking over the patterned holes she tilts her head.

"Okay, so maybe not. There are too few holes, and they're on the big side. I can't imagine this would even make a good jingle. Maybe it's some kind of disc-key? While all this is going on I can only imagine there's doors they don't want to open, and having a divided key would make it hard to get all of in this kind of battle. If they knew where all the parts were though, it'd be easy enough to open whatever it is.

"N-no! I wanna go back! I want to feel all floaty!"

Samantha squirms against the chains, falling over and not bothering to right herself as she squirms around on the ground.

>>93242

In her haste, "Lizzy" triggers a trap, causing a toothy swinging arm to relieve her of her cargo pants. She barely takes a glance to confirm this before running further, seeming to not care where she's running in what seems to be a string bikini.

Isabel's aggressive approach causes the traps to trigger, doing further damage to her wardrobe but leaving no trap left as she follows the other girl. Lizzy continues to look around and then start to run onward, shouting "Sammy!"

'''Isabel's indecency has hit 5 for the first time and action can now be taken to reduce it.

Hmm, It kind of seems like you figured it out. Now to just bridge the gap between OOC knowledge and IC knowledge spread between characters.

"I think we might. None of the maids we purified earlier had that name, but we have a girl Marina just sent here. She seems a bit distressed overall though."

Lizzy looks back, staring at the communicator as she seems to start tearing up.

"You've got. . . Please! help me find her!"

After sending the girl back to the first room, Marina tapped on her communicator. "Hey, Marina here. Take good care of the girl I just sent your way, I had to use some… Convincing and deceiving methods to save her, so make sure she feels safe… Also, I can just summon my anchor when she calms down, but could any of you bring my chain back, please?"

She ended the transmission while inspecting her clothes. Her dress had been reduced to a short top and a skimpy mini skirt.

"I wish my maid outfit were more elegant than this…" She said to herself with a sigh and a smile. "I wonder if I look sexy like this…"

She kept daydreaming in the hall, waiting for any word from her allies to choose her next destination.

Nia looks down at her outfit. Good as new! She does a twirl on one foot and then hugs Cleric. "You're the best! It's perfect!" As she hugs her, she overhears Isabel's question over the communicator, but her attention is soon interrupted.

The catgirl hears the maid girl teleport into the room in chains, so she moves to her side to help her out. "Don't worry, you're safe now, calm down." She holds onto Samantha tightly, petting her head as she removes the chains from her. Nia straps the chain to the hilt of her poleaxe. Hmm, I think this could be useful… Could she make her poleaxe into a flail, at least temporarily? But, onto more important things.

Nia taps her communicator. "Mari, she arrived safely, as did I. Thank you! Bella, you mentioned Samantha? I think Mari mentioned this girl's name is Samantha. She's right here with me in the safe room, why?" She looks to the girl. "Your name is Samantha, right?" she asks. "I'm sorry about the whole knife thing, the maids here weren't exactly friendly before but you seem like someone nice. You came in with a group, I assume? Looking extremely worse for the wear in terms of uniforms, Isabel wraps an arm around the nearly-crying girl as she hears that plea for help, starting to lead her back to the safe zone and comforting her.

She's practically unarmed at this point, and possibly as skimpy as her friend.

"Hey, hey, I think we just found her." The slayer comforts. "I'll take you to her."

To the communicator and team. "Yeah, I found a friendly girl with powers like us helping bust up the tower on her own. She lost her friends to the corruption here, and ah - I'm just gonna put her on video if Samantha's there. Is she alright? We found some kind of artifact in a secret wall vault, but and I've got another one of those music-box coin things. Bringing it back too, but we're not in great shape and could use a boost.. It looked like the discs fit in that room the roc was roosting in, though… anyway, lizzy, you want to say anything? I think your friend may be a little out of it. You two close or something?"

Inwardly, isabel kind of smiles at the nickname Bella, darker parts of the corruption suggesting whispering, that it'd sure sound fun whispered in an ear, when someone's close by, or even behind…

The metal tendrils released Idol, sliding across her as they shrunk down to a more expected size. The creature seemed to have done a job on the rest of her coat, at this point it may just be easier for her to abandon it entirely and just wear the bra. For better or worse, her smaller chest would draw a bit less attention than her more endowed allies. Well, maybe someone will say something…

But with the new girl arriving, El saw a chance to maybe scratch that itch for praise and admiration. Pressing off the ground she launched herself back on to her feet and faced Silver Fenrir. Subtle now. "Hey! Guess I got separated from everyone else, I don't know what came over me back there, I just had to check this room out. I'm okay though! Oh! And guess what I found?" With an ear-to-ear grin she brandished the spoilers of her labor, trying to ignore the tattered top sliding off her shoulders. "They fell off a familiar I took out. Honestly that was going to be a throwaway hazard, but eh, why not. I'm substituting corruption risk though. Remember that a tamed monster doesn't count against risk checks. Actually the same should be said of NPCs in general, but I think I failed to mention or apply that earlier.

A bit of corruption seeped out of the whisk, and seemed to latch onto Electric Idol. After a small dose of fuzzy lightheadedness, it seemed like the dark energy had given her influence over the whisk as it started to idly move it's metal coils.

Silver was relieved to see another ally when she finally made it into the room, however Electric Idol didn't seem to be in the best shape. Just by looking around the room, she could easily tell there had been a fight here, but from the looks of it, El had taken quite the beating.

"Are you…all right? You don't look like you're in great condition…" Silver said, approaching the battered girl. She laid her hand on the girl's shoulder, taking note of the heavy flow of dark energy that was surging through her. She simply couldn't allow her to bear this burden alone.

"Hold still…let me try something…" Silver had heard of this procedure before; the purging of corrupted energy. It was a very risky procedure, and was more akin to sharing the burden of the dark energy rather than fully cleansing it. Still, she was prepared to do her best, she couldn't allow one of her allies to wallow in the diseased power this tower was giving off.

She took Idol by the hand, looking her in the eyes. "I wanna try to clear away some of your corrupted energy, okay? I don't think you can handle much more on your own, and I know we'd all hate to see you overwhelmed…"

"What do you mean? I feel great. I'm really glad to see you though, is anyone else with you?" Idol spun around, wondering if anyone else had seen what a great job she had done. Unfortunately it looked like no one else had seen the cool shiny things she picked up. Or even that she pacified a monster and got it to be friendly! The whiskapus was lazily clinging to her arm, occasionally sapping a loose spark off her skin and flinging the bolt with a flick.

While Silver's words almost grabbed El's attention away from the ever growing cloud over her thoughts, the feeling of the rookie's hand wiped clean the haze and her thoughts. She nearly screamed at the soft warmth spreading through her arms, goosebumps racing along her limbs as she felt every trimmed hair leap high in praise. her new friend seemed shaken as well, nearly falling off when the afflicted girl let out a moan. A small flash of insight struck her as she met Fenrir's gaze. "W-wait. What are you doing? I'm fine, really. I just… I need to rest a little." Isabel's triumphant return is more of a rushed stroll, but even in triumphant tatters, the dark-skinned semonslayer makes it look goood. Her clothes and arms are nearly wrecked, save for a way-too-lacy push up bra, a sword, another one of those music-plates and of course her badass boots. Her abs and toned legs are on display, and only barely decent with frayed skirt hiding equally lacier undies that are occasioanlly visible through the shreds.

Lizzy, the new girl along with her, Isn't much better off. Clearly her time in the tower has been adventurous.

Bella doesn't seem to care about her state, wearing it with as much pride in it as she left with. She doesn't seem to really care about her state as she walks in, though its probably better described as a confident strut.

The foreign gal smiles at everyone in the room, waving earnestly and warmly and hefting the prize-artifact to show for her sins as she escorts the sk8terpunk gal inside. "Hey everyone! Glad to be back! This is lizzy! Where's sammy? There, ok? Is she alright?" Its a bit of a rush as she comes in, and gets close enough to interact with people.

She's in a bit of a rush to reunite the two girls, so that comes first.

Blue gets a courtsey, a smile, with the disc given to her(how many is that now? 2+?) for analysis and an opinion on the way in… and a tap and head-nod to 'follow me over here this way' motion.

Next up, nia gets a much warmer welcomeing, once isabel's hand is free of the prize. Her arms open up to wrap around Nia and give her a big warm hug complete with two kisses on opposite cheeks and a touch of squishing against her. Her sword seems to be dematerialized for the moment and this maneuver, of course. Really, isabel's doing it because Nia is right next to sammy, and lizzy is hot on her heels and she can totally tell from how upset she was she's going to try something similiar.

It makes her glance to the side, and blurt out in "waitbecareful with that!" about the gauntlet, and well, touching sammy with the artifact. "Here, uhmn. Let me please hold that for you for a moment until we know its safe?"

"What do you make of this?" The witch-girl says quietly to blue and nia, less keeping it on the down low as respectful of the reunion happening before their eyes. Her gesture is to Liz's new arm-gauntlet, prooooobably in a hug around sammy or something. "The empress hid it away in secret. Either it wants to be found, like that one Ring thing…or its valuable enough to hide from being used on her. I think it shields or interacts with her corruption somehow…"

Action: stroll south with lizzy in tow, and….. rege- i mean, relieve sammy of her gauntlet while she's reuniting and grateful to analyze it!

The allies here will just have to suffer isabel's near-nakedness perky entheusiasm, and exciting accent a bit longer. There's something important to be done!

A moment for intense concentration happens with an appropriately fretting look to isabels' face as her instincts tell her to see how her inner demonic ennergies interact with the new device, and if she's right, this could change how girls fight the empress… or give her answers about herself. Even a way to harness the beast. And while her dark mana helps shield and protect her in this place, her own similiarities for the darkness and magic permeating this tower worry the girl to her core. Nay, her very soul. if she's wrong, she's wrong. But if she's right…. ???

It may be kind of a half- galadriel moment with shadows and dark magicks for a moment. Under control, but still obvious magick, sorcery and scarousing: hot, dark, and sensual and in a way that seems to cut beyond the girls usual demeanor and looks. Kind of like caramel or coffee. Burning if mishandled, yet there's nothin quite so delicious for perking noses and turning heads thinking hey what's -

and then it passes. Isabel dares to breathe again. Which…. maaay be a little distracting in her current dress, especially if she's drawn some looks during her little demonstration.

Sorceress, Corruption. Clerical assistance?

The carving knives hit Marina, but her magical protection comes in and sends them bouncing off her. Marina's first reaction is to summon her weapon immediately. As she does it, the anchor holding Samantha down disappears to be casted in Marina's hand.

The girl looks around to spot where those knives could have come from, just to notice how her moves were felt sluggish now. That's when she looked down and noticed…That she was topless. The knives caused enough damage to make top fall off, bra included. As the torn pieces of clothing fell, they became dust.

"What?! Nooo! Why here?~" Complaining, she attempted to cover her breasts with her arm while looking for the responsible. Luckily, the magic properties of her anchor allowed her to be able to carry it with a single hand, but she was about to totally lose the protection of her dress.

The gauntlet seems to push away at the dark energues as Isabel analyzes it.

Isabel nods firmly at Blue's explanation, and holds onto the gauntlet for now. She's not necessarily giving it straight-away back, but she can't help but overhear the drama and…. her face softens as she realizes what's going on, and squeezes blue's shoulder a moment while she takes a moment to talk to the other girls. Not in dismissal, more… this is a moment that may take a minute.

The demonslayer approaches when beckoned for answers on the corruption. But not necessarily answering on that subject. She takes a different tact.

"…You two are related, aren't you. Sisters ?" Isabel guesses. "And yeah, this place definitely messes with people. Even I can feel it, but ah…. lizzy, I think your sister is the regular kind of mad at you. Especially if you're taking payoffs. Doesn't mean the magic isn't making it any worse, though… Blue, is there anything you can do for these two, to be sure about that?"

Isabel is understanding and kind, but slightly on guard - family trouble, what sounds like organized crime, and coming here to steal things from the empress to pay it off….

"… I think you two should take a moment, and when you're feeling better, share what's really going on. Maybe we can help you out." Isabel suggests, tactfully and gently, but half-aimed a touch more towards sammy - as lizzy seems to care what she thinks.

The demonslayer focuses on her ourfit, drawing upon the energies of the purified room - also experimenting with the glove's push on it as well - to restore her outfit. Just in case her guest gets the angry kind of upset, she wants a bit of an edge. Its what she came here for, also…

"So. . . The whole time? Sammy, I was doing all of that so you would be safe, you know that, right? They know not to lay a finger on you I just want them to be afraid of me."

Lizzy wipes her eyes and stares towards Samantha. "You get it, right?"

Lizzy pauses, giving the other girl plenty of time to answer, but gets nothing

"Sammy?"

Samantha stays quiet, actually starting to curl up more. Lizzy scoops one arm around the other girl, glancing contemplatively at one of the doorways leading into the tower.

Hadn't thought about specialties for regen, guess I'll allow that, it will work same as the gauntlet's intended effect. When using the gauntlet, you can roll an extra die for all corruption checks and reverse checks. A relevant specialty does the same, giving you a second reduction die for indecency. Which goes pretty well here, as without that your action this turn would do nothing.

Nia looks up to the north door was Isabel and her companion make their way inside. She is a bit shocked at their tattered appearance, as clearly they had been though a lot to get here. "Welcome back!" she says to Isabel primarily, and smiles to Lizzy next to her. "Also I think you two know each other?" she says, gesturing to Lizzy's sister.

She lets the two have their exchange before following Isabel and Blue to discuss matters, but is surprised by the sudden hug and kisses! She meows with each kiss, one on both her cheeks, and finds herself purring when she is pressed against Isabel's mostly exposed bosom. She stammers once the hug is finished, not blushing but her cat ears are practically glowing pink. "I-it's nice to see you too, Bella," she says to her, smiling bashfully.

"But yes, right, on to important matters. Right now, as I know, we have two disks accounted for and Elly picked up a gem earlier. We still have three corners of this place to explore. And there's a leather clad familiar teleporting around we need to watch out for. He sneaked up on me and made it so I was stuck on my hands and knees…" Her voice trails off. What scared her back then was that she was alone and unwilling. If someone else, one of her friends, had been there, and if they were holding her by a leash, petting her head- She realizes she had grown awkwardly silent. "But it's fine now, I got out of that and Mari teleported me back here." Her heart was nearly beating out of her chest thinking about that.

"But that gauntlet is something else. Be careful with that thing, you found it here and I'm not so sure we can just use it lightly." Nia watches the gauntlet as Isabel regenerates her outfit, making sure she doesn't have to pry the thing from her should anything go wrong. At the same time, she overhears Sammy and Lizzy across the room, and hopes they don't become liabilities. Clearly, they have a lot of talking to do outside this tower, but right now she is afraid for their safety.

"Sorry… I was fighting some monsters. I found some loot though, wanna see?" At this point the battle didn't matter, Marina noticed her! And was happy she was here! Maybe she would be impressed with her exploits too! (unlike a certain spear-wielding hunter who tried to remove this great feeling)

Idol slid up next to her, getting a liiiiiittle too close as she waited for… something. Anything at this point to sooth this consuming need for affection. The desire for any sort of recognition was so great she didn't even care that her new companion was half naked, Marina could dress like that all the time if she paid attention to her. Actually, she could dress like that all the time period! What remained of the outfit was alluring to say the very least. Come on, don't make me beg for it.

"This might not be the best moment…" Marina was more worried about the thing that had just attacked her, and the fact that her arm was the only obstacle between her companions and a sightful of her bare breasts. Plus, Idol was getting uncomfortably close, which only made it harder to cover herself.

But the way she was asking for attention, it could only be more pressuring if she had puppy eyes. Marina just couldn't neglect her. The robot thing wouldn't come to this room, right? After all, she had spent a lot of time here already and she had not been attacked by it until she tried to get close to the doorway.

With her best nervous smile, Marina spoke. "S-Sure, what did you find?"

"Sammy, I get it, but what do you want me to do? I don't know if you'll be safe if I leave you at home, and If I suddenly stop making my rounds. . . I don't think they'll just let me quit now."

"Sammy, come on, at least say something."

Lizzy gets nothing out of Samantha as she stays curled up. She takes another look towards a doorway leading deeper into the tower, and then a glance around to see if the others are still watching.

"Hey," isabel's voice cuts through the drama, especially as the sisters stop talking. She's headed over, and a soft hand touches on liz's shoulder. She speaks to sammy, though. "Hey. Is everything alright?"

"Maybe… give her a moment? This is a lot to take in, and she's safe with us, at least for now… and i couldnt help but overhear. If you're in some kinda trouble, we should talk." A slight head-nod towards blue. "We might be able to help."

She wanted to see! Idol nearly jumped for joy at Maria's interest. Sure she didn't seem that thrilled, but surely that would change once she beheld the treasures Idol had been accumulating. "Well, I picked up another of those plates, I should have two of them now…. Ah! There we go!" She had converted part of her tattered vest into a sash to help carry the pair of gems she had obtained. With a smile she held them up to the other girl and bounced on her toes. "Check it out. Another of these came from a familiar I took down." She pulled one closer, turning it around and examining the fine cut pattern. "The we fought had one, but this one seemed to form out of thin air. Might be some kind of crystallized dark energy… I read something about that one, it's something like…"

She paused, suddenly unable to recall what is was she had heard about… whatever it was she had been talking about. Well, if it was that important it would come back to her, no use stressing about it. "Umm… sorry, I guess I got a bit carried away there. Oh!" Seeing the two stones in her hands cleared things up for her a little, and she offered one of them to the topless girl. "Wanna take a look?"

The girl gives a quick nod to Isabel, also glad to see she's okay, but a little worried about the others. Her eyes track the girl's hand, her mouth just slightly parted as she seems to instinctively expect a cheek caress. Instead, her fuzzy ear wiggles beneath as she caresses that instead, the sensation causing her to grin widely. Still haven't gotten tired of this, it seems! Almost wish they were permanent.

Back to reality, Nia watches over the two sisters and speaks quietly into her communicator, only enough for the others to hear. "Hey, me and Bella are at the safe room. Is everyone else alright? No idea how long until we can head out, as we need to make sure the girls we rescued will remain here." She walks over to Cleric to see if she can do anything, or at least be alright with a magical girl here they don't know. "Hey, is there anything we can do about them? Marina looked closely at the discs that Idol was carrying. Aside from the curiosity in her eyes, she didn't have an impressed reaction. She was pretty clueless about the discs and what they could be used for. She knew that they could be important, but she didn't really make much of an effort to make sense of what she saw.

Should Marina find one of these discs, she would just take it to her companions to let them make their own theories, not bothering to think about it much herself.

When Idol showed those gems, though, Marina smiled. "Oooh, they are pretty. Especially that dark crystal. Can I keep it?~"

The crystal didn't look shiny, but somehow it could easily draw her attention. Marina left her anchor against the wall and reached for the rare formation, holding it high to inspect it to the light of the room.

"Are you sure it's safe to keep this, anyway? It looks odd."

Nia nods to Blue. She cocks an eye at the mention of Miss but ignores it, as the advice is important. She walks over to Isabel and join her, standing at her side but not imposing, hands behind her back and swaying a little, offering an understanding smile to the two sisters. "I understand I think, what you went through. I come from a big family, and at times things are rough, and I ran away a lot to try and escape those problems. I learned I couldn't keep running away anymore, and needed to deal with these problems head on. And more importantly, we needed to work together to solve them. I know it's going to take a lot of work, and sometimes it looks bleak, but the most important thing is to stick together because no one else will be closer than your family. And that goes for both of you, you will be able to get past this. But right now, all of us are in a situation that's a lot like that. We need to get to the bottom of what's going on here, because there are people trapped here who need our help. My allies are out there fighting right now too, and they need our help. Silver was far to curious to stop herself from walking over to take a gander at El's spoils of war, especially with how eager she seemed to share them with their team mate. She was growing increasingly concerned about the magical health of her ally, but she had already promised to ignore it, and she didn't want to push the point any further. The dark skinned girl took a look over the many different gems and such that El had collected from her fallen enemies. Surely they were safe to carry, right? She and Nia had taken down their fair share of familiars when they were exploring together and nothing bad had happened then.

>>94652

Speaking of which, a familiar voice came ringing over the communicator, asking about the status of the team. Since the girls seemed too consumed with their gemstones and lack of clothing, Silver took it upon herself to answer the call. Lifting a hand to her ear, she looked around the room and sent a broadcast back to the safe room. "Hey, Silver here. I have Electric Idol and Marina here with me as well. We're doing fine for the moment but some of us are in pretty bad shape. Take your time with the rescue and we'll see how much longer we can hold out in this state."

The girl peeked into the next room, just enough to see if she could catch a glance of this robot maid Marina had mentioned. She wasn't about to go in alone now, especially if it meant risking the health of her teammates, but there was no telling what nasty things might be headed their way right now. "Um, girls? "well… I was planning on turning them over to Miss Valkyrie if we leave, but you can hold on to one." She handed one of the stones to Maria, she seemed legitimately excited about Idol's find, and even Silver was interested now! Sharing her treasures with others was always felt rewarding. Their amazed faces spoke of how she had done a really great job and was an important part of the team. Really that's all she wanted. "I only have two of them, but you can have the other if you want. They seem mostly safe? Just don't stare straight at it for too long, okay? Light doesn't reflect out, it just bounces around inside. I don't think it's directly harmful, but I made that mistake after picking up the first one and lost track of everything for a minute."

Resting her arm on Silver's shoulder, she offered her the stone one last time. "Here, hold on to this." she said, reaching around and holding it in front of the dark-skinned girl. You think I need help, yeah? It'll be better if you keep it. They seem important." They'd get to the robo-cleaner eventually, it's not like El was planning on deviating from her usual plan of 'channel thunder until it dies.' After her magical dress had been completely restored, Marina opened her eyes. She felt lightheaded and rubbed her temple. "Ugh… Is this what it feels like to be seasick?"

A moment later, the strange feeling disappeared as the dark energies mix within her magic source. Then, Marina's body adapted to these negative forces, tainting her soul in the process. She sighed.

"I feel a bit odd, but I'm ready to fight again." Marina said with a confident smile back on her face. Filled with enthusiasm, she picked up her anchor by the shank.

Name:Heavy Gunslinger Akane

Appearance:Akane is a slightly tanned cat girl with short red hair and matching eyes. She wears an old torn up school girl uniform. Her arms, stomach, back, and legs are covered in flame tattoos.

Summary:Akane is flippant and carefree, always cracking jokes and treating her enemies like one. While she might be a bit overconfident and full of herself, she still cares a bit for others and is NOT to be underestimated in combat. She rarely takes things seriously, but she does it's a sight to behold. Akane specializes in monster and demon assassination jobs, and she has been doing that for most of her teenage life. A job has drawn her to this tower.

Specialties: 1.Hailfire. A powerful customized light machine gun that can fire a practically infinite number of hot lead bullets due to magic. Though powerful, it’s recoil is frustrating.

2.Hand of the Inferno. Akane can light her hands on fire at will, without damaging them or feeling any pain. While mostly used for giving her punches extra punch, they can also be used for a multitude of different purposes, such as makeshift torch or cooker.

3.Toned Body. For someone of a relatively small stature, Akane is pretty ripped. Due to her determination and cardio she can lift and carry heavy things for her size, like the halefire with relative ease.

Silver looked back anxiously, relieved to have the maid dealt with, but clearly not too keen on the group splitting up once again. "Can it wait for us to all get back together? Splitting up didn't work out so well for us before." she told El, before turning her attention to the strange webs covering the room. Perhaps they were a seal of some sort, to prevent them from progressing? If that was the case, then something worth protecting must have been behind them. She already had her lance out, might as well try it out. The girl approached the bands, slicing at the closest one experimentally.

"Mhm, are you all okay? It wasn't too bad, but let's keep our guards up. Isabel and Nia should be on their way back here soon. I think we should scout a bit in the meantime. Hmm… But if you really want to go back, I could go with you, Idol. And if Silver needs our help, I'll just send you back here as soon as possible."

Marina looked at Silver's attempt to cut through the bands to see what would happen before doing anything else, leaving the decision up to her companions.

'''haha, thanks for the wellwishing, just gotta get through this weekend'

Isabel, much happier with her handle on the artifact and feeling much more ready for battle with less of her skin on display, faces her companions.

"I think we should take THIS route to that room," isabel highlights on her communicator, "if thats worth guarding, its worth taking - and the plates seem to fit there. Its good for everyone to meet there, and we can probably expect some kind of fight to happen over it if its really important. That being said, Blue, do you want to hang onto this gauntlet? It might help your shield, but we can cross that bridge when we come to it. "

Over the communicator, isabel asks. "hey, who has that map with all the stars on it? Can you send a fresh one over?"

"Nia, you coming with us?" A tan arm reaches out to squeeze a shoulder, and get the girl's attention.

Nia had the two sisters on her mind, and hoped they would end up alright even outside this place. "Yeah, sorry, was thinking about something, we need to get moving then." She also speaks up, "No one does, I don't think. The map was on a screen in that room. If we're able to get there, I do mostly remember what it looked like last, and I can tell you if it changed." She reaches up and pats Isabel's arm, then reaches out for Blue. "If we combine strengths, I think we can get there quickly."

Attempt to share power with group: Normal, Cat-like Reflexes, Indecency, Corruption

"When I move fast, time seems to slow down for only me. I'm still getting used to these powers, and I can share this relative perspective with one person if I hold onto them, but to maintain it among more I've never attempted. Bella, since you are using your own magical ability, this just might work." Nia closes her eyes, easily tapping into that power for just herself. "Or, I end up moving out of my clothes. But that shouldn't happen," she quickly adds as time begins to slow for her, and then her partners. "Quickly, this won't last long! Let's get through as many rooms as we can."

Marina crouched to pick up the stone, and looked it against the room's light as she stood up. "Hey, Idol. Isn't this stone like the ones you've found? Take a look at it." She gave the gem to EI, then a mischievous smile showed up on her face. "You're pretty lucky to be getting all this stuff after defeating these monsters. If it were not for your plan to hand these over to The Valkyrie, I'd say you would get a nice price for them out there, hmhm.~"

After Silver cleared the path to the next room, Marina clapped her hands together and ruffled the girl's fluffy hair. "Good job! Now we won't have problems going through this room! According to the communicator's display, the others are on the move already…And they're bringing Blue Cleric along. That's convenient, isn't it?" She said looking in Idol's direction.

Then, Marina talked over the comm. "Isabel? Nia? How are things going over there? Were you able to do anything about the girl? Please tell me you didn't forget my anchor's chain."

Ah, quick refresher on how dice work:

To roll board dice, open up the '"post options and limits" drop-down to choose how many dice and the number of sides.

Declare all action dice you are using. normal is usable in most cases, competency if any of your specialties apply (be sure to mention the specialty you are using.) and indecency and corruption to add an extra action die to improve your chances, or when doing so is mandatory. When the last two roll higher than all other dice, you have to roll a check against the same status.

Nia feels reality turn back to normal as she readjusts to how the world would normally look and sound. It's as though time were speeding up around her. The girl wipes the sweat from her brow, having never exerted so much power at once. She practically phased the group through a barricade, and her skirt ended up paying the price with a minor tear. Nothing big, as she was still kept covered. She grabs hold of Cleric and Isabel once more. "Bella, if you have any bold moves, now would be the chance to do them." Anything was worth getting them to their destination without any further hindrances.
