 No.171070

Okay bitches and hoes. I made an f-list theme because I was so glob stuffed tired of the furry one that looks like it was made in geocities. There's so much wasted space on the default one as well and in general I think it just looks so fluffing ugly. I really need testers for this to find out issues I may have overlooked and fix them. I recently made changes to the style so it overlays on top of every theme, though I've only tested it on Dark and Default (Who fluffing uses light?). If you JUST want to use the theme and not want to experience any weird coloring issues I'd suggest setting your F-list theme to Dark. It also has very very limited mobile support (only on android phones and on browsers that support stylus). It lags the stuff out of my Galaxy S4, so any QoL suggestions there are appreciated. I've only done some minor testing on Chrome while using Firefox primarily. I also use Firefox on my phone. So palememe and waterfox users should have no issue.

Instructions:

>Download STYLUS through your browser app store

>Download https://files.catbox.moe/8ylwff.txt

>Open Stylus menu in browser tab

>Select "Write new style"

>Name it whatever you want, the official title is Cyberunk Blue Unified if you're not creative

>Hit the "Import" Button

>Drag the file you just downloaded from catbox into the window that popped up OR copy the contents into the window that popped up

>Push the"overwrite style" button

>Make sure at the bottom most section the drop down is set to "URLS on the Domain Of" and "www.f-list.net"

>Hit "Save"

>???

>Profit

If you're one of like the three people I gave this to already and you wanna update, or if I've uploaded a new version at some point and you wanna update:

>Hit the "Import" Button

>Drag the NEW theme txt file into the window that popped up OR copy the contents into the window that popped up

>Push the"overwrite style" button

>Make sure at the bottom most section the drop down is set to "URLS on the Domain Of" and "www.f-list.net"

>Hit "Save"

Random other things:

>THE THEME APPLIES TO ALL WEBPAGES?!?!

You didn't set the application settings right. In Stylus at the bottom of the edit style page it should be ser to "URLS on the Domain" and then manually type in "www.f-list.net". the www. is important too because if you don't include it, then the theme will apply to the wiki page as well.

>THE THEME GLOBS UP THE WIKI?!?!?!

Read above.

>The in-browser chat client looks weird!

I don't use the in browser chat client so I haven't extensively tested it yet. Most the main pages on the website should work however and any input on those is appreciated. I've only made some changes to the 3.0 client to give it a few minor adjustments.

>I use (Insert other CSS addon that's probably stylish) and its saying your theme is all fucked up!

Stylish and other Style-editors don't interpret the same CSS code rules that Stylus does, for example some versions of Stylish don't recognized partial URLs while Stylus does.

>There's still errors that pop up in the stylus script!

That shouldn't be happening. Screencap the errors and post in the thread. If you don't want to wait for help, redownload the file and try again.

>Why is the actual theme is lighter than the screenshots?

That's an issue with my print screen. The only wat to fix it is overly convoluted and I didn't want to bother attempting it for the longer images.

>I'm using Internet Explorer and…

Install a better browser

>I'm using Safari and…

Only God can help you.

>Why is this post so goddamned big?

Because I'm assuming everyone reading this is incompetent and I want to be thorough.

>Can I fork it?

It's a hob trotting mess, if you want to sift through it feel free. Just throw your name up there next to mine in the header when you're finished.

Disclaimer: This CSS has a lot of flickering lights on it so potential epilepsy warning.

Disclaimer: This CSS has a lot of animated components as well, potentially causing a bit of a CPU hog. I have a pretty bulky computer so I actually don't know if this is a huge problem or if it's just a mild one. If it does turn out to be a problem for anyone it wouldn't be too hard to make a -lite version and cut down on some things.

I'm sorry this is so autistic, I'm autistic. I'm sorry.

Don't be sorry, this is great!

I wish there was a little less 'highlighter' effect on the text, but other than that good job!

I would love to see more 'custom' f-list themes, or more "default" listings, but that isn't going to happen.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. The standard themes are simple and unobtrusive. Why do you want your screen flooded by all this unnecessary clutter? I guarantee you that nobody who isn't 12 years old or a raccoon is going to care about your shitty shiny color scheme.

That shit legitimately looks like neon vomit. God damn. For someone bitching about furry design this is exactly what I imagine those technicolor glowing-cock faggots would come up with.

Very nice and cool theme overall.

Only minor complaints and I'm just nitpicking here, was it took me like a minute to figure out where the friend button went. And that I got used to clicking the top left corner of the screen to go to home, which isn't technically part of the banner here.

Overall, I do like the contrast in colors, letting me know what ends where, what's links, etc. Minor suggestion but I have no idea if this is a thing or not? Might be if you can get image borders to change if they are, say a gif, or if they have a description.

But yeah. Two thumbs up. Just fluffing my post to try and say *something*

>clutter

I don't remove or add anything outside of coloring. It's literally the basic theme with newer coloring and less empty space all over the place. You should be more like this >>171200 guy and complain about the coloring.

Also at least the Dark and Default CSS are kind of broken in a way. The default CSS themes have been added to and edited throughout the years. Like just for example the third picture on the OP that displays all the dropdown and the color codes? Those are all broken on the Default theme. On Default, if you have a collapsible box the fonts aren't set to inherit properly and they'll come out looking like this pic right here. On dark it's somewhat similar except that it only happens with a few of the text options on the color fonts when you have a collapsible inside a collapsible block. I remember specifically that this happened with the blue font for links on dark theme as well. As far as I can tell whoever implemented the Dark theme noticed that only certain variants of the colored parsed links had been set to have inherited colors and fixed it for most of the font but overlooked a lot.

> if you can get image borders to change if they are, say a gif, or if they have a description.

I'll look into it but I wouldn't hold out much hope. I'm only changing the site's CSS so I can't really change much that's under the hood.

The coloring is too complex and distracting. Please keep things minimalist. Looking up material design guidelines might help you understand how to make things colorful but not to the point where it prevents you from enjoying the content rather than it's presentation.

I have no idea wtf the anon above me means by complex and distracting, shit feels intuitive enough to me after a few minutes of use.

The only color that outright hurts. Is if people use color=black on profiles. But that is seemingly rare enough to not be an issue.

This is mostly an aesthetic profile update so I was trying to wait until I had something more substantial to put in it, but I think I am mostly satisfied with it. I think the only thing I'll be updating after this point is mobile stuff which I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who uses either way updates will probably be slower after this point. Though how the thread has gone it's hard to gauge continued interest but whatever. I'm dedicated to supporting this even if it's just 5 people using it. I'll continue taking feedback and adjusting it based on people's posts in this thread though, but I wont push out another update unless I personally find a major problem.

Update:

https://files.catbox.moe/39xjve.txt

How the colored sections work: Just wrap the BBcode color tags around the OUTER sections of the [hr], [quote], or [collapse] tags. This will also effect all their contents inside but you can just stick more color tags inside if you want to change what's inside the quote or collapse.

The desktop client is it's own separate thing. I'd have to download the uncompiled client and learn to confangle the theme.

I DID AN OOPSIE.

I deleted the character I was using to host the logo image. I would normally just use Imgur but something about f-list prevents me from actually using outside sources as a host. I assume it's one of my ad blockers. In general though it's just better to have the images hosted on site rather than on a third party.

But anyway, I just had to reupload it somewhere and replace the URL in it.
