Reminds when Fallout 3 came out, holy fuck was I mad that I couldn't kill all of the lamplight shits especially when you could kill kids in the previous game. In fact a lot of games used to allow you to kill children and now the death of a teenager in a AAA game is enough to cause controversy.

Be grateful that you have never touched 3, it is not just the worst Fable game, it's one of the worse games I have ever played. Seriously, everything is wrong with that shit, from the shift of medieval fantasy to industrial revolution just to push political shit, to how the story progress, to the awful combat, to not giving you a sword or any combat option unless a shitty fireball for THREE HOURS, to the uninteresting settings, the awful uninspired design, and so on and on and on. Liking the first Fable only made the experience even more miserable. Actually, liking the first Fable made me hate this game with blind fury, holy shit, losing their jobs was not enough punishment to those that made this game, and the person responsible for pulling it out of stores was doing a favor to humanity.

Why? Why was this game allowed to exist?

I figured out if you buy a house, put a trophy in it the trophy adds value to the house when you sell for more than you bought it. You can proceed to break in and take the trophy, which does not trigger the guards and then buy the house again for the original price. Rinse and repeat and you get infinite money.
