Doomers. I am interested in you people. I feel i share some affinity with you, anons.

Q: How do you feel about the general populace? What is your stance on them?

Please don't make this a thread about whatever petty political preferences you hold.

I am not a misanthope; I don't hate "normies" and I have never had serious problems with women…been married many years actually.

I just want to die. Not because I "hate myself" or hate anything, really. It's just a matter of EFFORT. It takes so much fucking effort and energy just to keep this charade of a barely normal life going, just to keep my head above water. When I was younger,

I told myself, "someday it will get better," but its not happening. Plus I think society is insane, the world is on the verge of some kind of socio-economic meltdowm, the future won't be pretty. Why bother, really? I stay alive for my wife (no kids) and my elderly mom,

but its gettting harder and harder to justify a joyless gray effort-filled fruitless life based on that alone.

I fantasize about eating a shotgun probably 40 times a day.

I like some people, like the ones at the dojo I go, for example, from men to boys, and women to girls, they're all around pretty nice.

BUT, I wouldn't lift a finger to help anyone that I don't know and I am not fond off, specially such a vague concept such as "general population". Trow a bomb in a crowd on a kids show and kill hundreds, I don't give a fuck. It will only take a reaction out of me if one of then was someone I personally knew and liked. The crazy thing is, I don't think I am weird because of it, in interpersonal relationships people consider me a nice guy, I just don't care about waves so big of nameless and faceless people they all lose their identity and it becomes more of a moral dilema than a personal one. Anyone who says that pressing a button to nuke a big city is harder than stab a sobbing man in the chest, is fucking lying and so isolated from wordly day to day problems, they shouldn't have even the right to an opinion in societal matters due to inexperience in the field.

You are not a boomer, your problem doesn't come from having no faith in society or people, being a disappointed romantic, or the feeling of being a loser after many failures at life. It does not come from a philosophical stand point, but a medical one: You have unironical non-memetic depression.

Semi-indifferent, though I'd like the best for them. I hope that those who really want to succeed do so and endeavor to help others do the same. People who wish to enjoy life should, and people with hopes should pursue them. I feel that a great sum of people are being held back from once-basic things, and I'd like if society would address the causes of this.

I do resent 'society' as the upper echelons of power, though. But then it's fascinating how it grinds them up and does its best to turn its own purported benefits (derived especially from science and technological development) into weapons against the population. It's interesting to think about how these people march on in pursuit of these rotting carrots as their lives fall part. It's this that would be neat to destroy, but I'm not likely to destroy it. Mostly wanna die.

The biggest problem with people right now is that there are too many of them. 7 Billion. 100 years ago, and for most of history before that, it was around a billion. Science and tech and advances with meds, mecahnics, oil, etc. have made it possible for 700% more tards to live full lives than would be "natural."

Heck, maybe we could make it to 12 or 20 billion if we all wanted to live like factory-farmed chickens in little cages with feeder tubes down our throat, but what's the point? Why do people insist on trading quality for quantity.

Also, the "new" way of life is unnatural. Think of this progression:

A) Dawn of humanity (1 million BC?) to 10,000 BC: Hunter-gatherers. Moving around in packs of 20-100. This is what our nervous system is basically evolved to deal with. This is who we were for 99% of our time as a species.

B) 10,000 BC - now: Agriculture. Suddenly instead of hunting all day, you were shucking corn or some shit. Skeletal evidence shows people moved into agriculture not because it was "better" or easier but basically because the alphas forced them to work like slaves in little villages while they preserved hunting rights for themselves (hunting remains an aristocratic pursuit). The majority are now stuck in little huts, living shorter lives, their bodies more unhealthy, their lifespans shorter, skeletons shorter and round-shouldered.

C): 2,000 BC - now: "Civilization." Now we can move from tiny villages to bigger towns and walled cities, which means more slave-type work hauling stone for the pharaoh's summer palace, plus the occasional bloody and unpleasant war. Population climbs again though. More quantity over quality.

D) c. 1700 AD - now: Industrial society: This is when you see life really start to change. a blink of an eye in geologic time. Yet again, bigger population but lots of misery like children losing an arm in a factory machine and shit.

E) 1950- now: Technological society: Now we are totally divorced from our hunter-gatherer roots. We all live in little boxes under halogen lights staring at screens. The results aren't in but I don't think its a good deal. Sure, it's "easier" but we live totally against our ancient instincts. Its "easier" the way life in a zoo is easier: most of those animals have to be drugged from going nuts and you see those gorillas just zoning out staring off into space, or animals frantically scratching at the wall or pacing around. They get all the food they want, they are protected, but they are not happy. We are the same.

Nah, man.

I think we could have way higher population and better living standards. The problem with land isn't that there's not enough of it, it's that people deliberately invest in it and inflate the prices, which in turn not only ups the cost of finding shelter but also the cost of everything else. Get rid of that and even then the only incentive to put people in as small and shitty of boxes as possible is going to be economic, but with the prices down people will have more of a choice.

You talk about the chicken-cage lifestyle, but even that's only about the people who harvest chickens saving money. Get my drift? Those people have names and addresses, if you don't like the idea.

>Q: How do you feel about the general populace? What is your stance on them?

In the beginning disappointment because when I was young I though the world is full of talented people with good hearts, you just have to find them. When I realized that is bullshit I was disappointed, then over the years I become indifferent and recently I'm starting to have anger issues because I keep bumping to soulless braindead imbeciles either with messiah complexes or egocentric attitudes all the time. It's like hearing the same joke every day you know, first time you enjoy it, then you start becoming bored and apathetic towards it but then you start going apeshit because what's enough is enough. What I feel in the nutshell is pretty much that they are filler of the society, the producers of goods I might need but that's about all. Maybe robots will do the job better in the future.

>>9120

I feel you, the real reason why I am still bothering with keeping on living is simply curiosity. When I say nothing can surprise me, something happens that totally surprises me and it's becoming worse and worse. I want to see how low can this circus of civilization and society go and what are the consequences. I'm just interested in this but I have no interest in actual survival or possibly getting some good place after the system changes (if ever).

>if we all wanted to live like factory-farmed chickens in little cages with feeder tubes down our throat

We already live like that. Housing projects (in our part of the world called socblocks) are nothing but a chicken-farms for workers where they will get a sleep and food after work and that's that. The real problem will be with that amount of population we won't be able to feed it anymore and then the fun starts.

>Why do people insist on trading quality for quantity.

Humanism and french revolution bringing back the good ol' democracy from ancient times. Every time I hear some hippie democrat talk about how every human life is worthy my stomach is turning upside down.

>the timeline

Technological progress wouldn't be that much of an issue if it would happen more slowly but it's going too damn fast. Like maybe only 50-70 years between having semi-decent films and radio coverage to AI and drones? What the fuck? And it's not just that:

The boomers are totally dumb when it comes to modern technology with exception of computer science academia (not modern, but let's say 90s/00s computers and internet). Gen-Xers did pretty much very good job at being able to deal with the situation, I know many people who are 40-50, they have no problem dealing with computers anymore. Now there are millenials who pretty much grew up in late 80s/early 90s they know the computers, they know the internet, what's the deal, right? Wrong. The fucking zoomers already took us down from the throne, they are learning in elementary school about AI and robotics, two new fields which are already expanding insanely from technology industry up to science fields. It makes me feel so old because I'm not capable anymore to keep going with fast pace of technological development. My point is this though, you have retirement system set up in a way that you should work until you are very old but at the same time technology is going forward so quick you might be out of job as soon as new generation reaches productive age. Not even speaking about that many working positions will be completely replaced by robots and possibly AI while population keeps increasing. This is madness.

You're bass-ackwards, m8.

The zoomers are getting shit-tier tech education. Why? Because gen y. learned about computers via actual computers. These little handhelds zoomers have to grow up with can't do jack shit, and consequently zoomers aren't learning basic code like we did.

And we had robots way back when, too. I'd be surprised if gen. z really has any better access to the inner workings on average than gen. y did. If anything, tech and access to tech is being too controlled now and the "knowledge" is becoming more rare as consumer tech is dumbed down.

The course we're actually headed down is one in which elites exercise control over technology and actively limit its potential while the rest of society mills about limp-dicked waxing nostalgic about Ben 10 or whatever the fuck it is they watched as kids.

Also, more people available to participate in production generally means that we won't run out of food - we already "overproduce" food. If we starve, it's going to be due to greed, incompetence, or just deliberate genocide. Population size alone won't do it.

>and consequently zoomers aren't learning basic code like we did.

They actually are but it's not powerful enough. Most of programming nowadays is getting dumbed down to slow and bloated scripting languages. I don't think C or C++ will die but the market might shrink. You won't be able to get 5 years experience in some scripting language because you never needed it and suddenly the technology changes and you will be replaced. Depends on your field.

>And we had robots way back when, too.

Yes, totally comparable technology. But you again wrongly assume that zoomers need to be more clever or something. It isn't working like that, the technology changes quickly and that's the bottom line. If for good or for wrong it changes too quickly and if you can't get used to it, you are out of game.

>we already "overproduce" food.

Since when? 3rd world is still starving and bonus points is quality of food. Maybe we won't starve because we will have tons of junk food but the quality of food is very low even in west.

You don't know anything about agriculture, do you? You can have one good year and then one really bad year. Guess what years we will have with climate pushing temperatures to extremes and with wild fires becoming pretty much the normal thing during the summer. All what it takes to produce not enough is one dry summer or too warm february with sudden cold march and april. But I like that you pretty much said that humans are pigs who should live off corn, that made me laughed because it's true.

The reason they have all this hoarded is about prices. They literally let it rot. That's part of the model.

>Guess what years we will have with climate pushing temperatures to extremes and with wild fires becoming pretty much the normal thing during the summer.

Dude, there are guys growing coffee here where I live. Frankly, industrial agriculture is probably going to keep producing ridiculous yields and the cutting edge of agriculture could even provide ways to resist reliance on climate… if people let it do so, which right now they barely do because all the money is in factory farms and third world cash crops.

I got a theory on that 1 to 7 billion population.

Since ancient times, there's been a set number of humans and a set number of souls. When anyone advanced enough in knowledge to attain Nirvana, they moved onto the next plane and a new soul was born in their place. Or something similar, point is, every person born was born with a soul, learning the human experience then possibly doing it again.

The sudden burst of population however has disrupted this balance. Now you have 7 billion people but only 1 billion of these people have souls. These people are the 'Soulless' or 'NPCs'. They have no inner voice, no conscious, no awareness of what's happening around them because they're not born of new souls, instead there are so many vessels for a soul to go into that some must be born without one. These new souls and 'soulless' are brainwashed by those in power and drown out those with souls by being the majority.

At least that's how I explain so many sheeple. And as for them, Jack said it best:

"Kine can sink or swim on their own, we have enough problems without them."

Tbh our country could produce food enough to feed a population 2-3 times the size that we have now. But alas, the vast majority of our soil is concentrated in the hands of a couple of landlords who rather destroy the crop to get compensation shekels from the state. We should go back to an era where most people are working on the fields to support themselfes and their families, but thats highly unlikely to come back until this civilization falls.

I genuinely don't like them; I don't just acknowledge humanity's evil nature, I bear witness to their constant, intentional pursuit of evil, and their outright rejection of any proposed system that is morally just. Taxation is theft but they don't care. They all deserve slavery, and in fact they choose slavery because they are natural-born slaves: slaves to alcohol, slaves to pornography, slaves to social interaction and the ego-trips they get by surrounding themselves with superficial friends.

They're loud, stupid, useless, especially useless. I hate seeing people because I know they are worth nothing to anyone, that they are a net drain on humanity and that they don't care. What would the fall of civilization even look like? My guess is that the fall of civilization will have been completed when the State has been completely abolished, thereby giving the masses of people power over the land that is concentrated in the hands of the few landlords. Because by what other means than State-Terror does the landlord attain the right to his so-called land? What's stopping the masses from working for themselves?

It's not necessarily that most normalcattle couldn't become enlightened or whatever, it's that it takes a long time to go down the rabbit hole of realizing more and more how fucked everything is. I was only mildly "bluepilled", for lack of a better word, and it still took me a year or two to end up here. Imagine how long it would take for your average normalnigger who has never been exposed to this type of thought in his life. It would seem so utterly backwards to him as to defy comprehension. This is what I think most people here fail to realize, a lot of what we say doesn't just go against some of their views of the world, it goes against everything. It's just too much for them, it's too earth shattering.

My two minds are this: that all humans desire freedom because it is the way by which our talents are recognized and utilized to their fullest, maximizing our value in the eyes of others; or that humans desire slavery, and in the presence of freedom will choose a new master. And I don't think it's a case of "long term thinkers vs short term thinkers", the two are just so opposed. You could say the unintelligent wish to hold back their betters so they do not lose resources (though in reality the intelligent members of any society yield greater resources for all; a rising tide lifts all ships etc.), and that's just their short term thinking. But how on Earth do we justify self-enslavement? There is no benefit, long or short term. It's something I have not figured out, despite it being so ingrained in human nature.

>they are not useless. cattle exists for milking

To be honest I don't think I actually believe that, it's a long-winded insult I throw at normalfags when I get pissed off. Because the further I have come along in my professional life, the less and less I want power over these people. imo it comes from a place of weakness; a fully actualized man wants nothing more than to create life and preserve beauty. I don't think there's any dignity in ruling over slaves, even dogs are happier to see you than they.

it may be an edgy thing to say, but most people truly are sheep.

With the rise of social media, this has become more obvious than ever. People will believe whatever their favorite meme page sells them as fact.

Recently an aquintance of mine told me about how he read about a japanese satellite being swallowed by a black hole because he couldn't manage to proper read the article from his FB newsfeed.

Speaking of which. Sometimes I watch people scroll through their feeds and see that there's only garbage. People are pumped full of garbage 24/7 Attention spans are shrinking and people get dumber.

I wouldn't call it 'enlightened' either. I don't even think it takes special effort to be honest. You live the life, you are in confrontation with it day after day. We all are as people. The difference I noticed is that people generally tend to search for ways out (which is normal thing to do). What it means is something like, if you see something is not right, maybe something you don't yet fully comprehend, you subconsciously turn your attention to something else because that previous situation, that conflict made you uncomfortable. It's all about being comfortable and that's the key difference imo. I didn't choose to be non-conformist either, all of this is result of my curious nature and probably, what could be called intellectual sadomasochism. You see something brings you discomfort, some idea, some though, but instead of turning away from it, you push yourself through it, you jump into the void and you spent there years, trying to think it through, trying to think about everything from basis of that idea up to consequences. Our brains maybe work differently, I have no fucking clue. I often feel like the more I know about what's going on the more I lose my shit and feel completely lost in this mess.

tl;dr all it takes to go down the rabbit hole is curious nature

It isn't so simple. You take everything from them and they still don't realize they hit the bottom. Take a sample of homeless people. You might find some thinkers there who will blow you away with their view on the matter and then you find some retards who care only about how to get cash for the next wine.

People nowadays turn into new age shit. Do you know these videos that tell you all you have to do to become a successful person is to think positively? This is what they watch and think they will get rich. Now I can't really blame them because I'm really into spiritualism and shit but try to find a person who shares this bullshit on his facebook wall or whatever and you will destroy his views within 2 seconds with few questions and he will shut down like an old computer. Very useful thing is to admit you have no clue about how things work, admit it to yourself. Then you will be able to question yourself (which is very painful process which can shatter all of your previous ideas and ideals). People don't do that, they take whatever is thrown on their plate and I don't really blame them for doing it.

Ignoring the “I studied the blade” euphoric tone from your post, I think Doug Stanhope said it best: Susan Boyle. This woman was an ugly country bumpkin that was shipped out to the city on a national television show as a Barnum act. People sneered in disgust at the thought of this woman singing a song. It turns out to their surprise she had the voice of an angel and proved them all wrong. The average cunt says this story is inspirational. I find it completely depressing. I don’t think I need to explain why. People are at their worst and most annoying when they are in groups. Individually, one on one, a person is usually pleasant if they’re not a cunt.

I used to be really loving and caring about all that gay shit. After legitimately talking to most people and living in a world where asking the mid-IQ people around you to just try questioning SOMETHING in their gay lives, even if its as simple as vaccines, could cause them to turn against you and try to get you fired, thrown in jail, or killed, I could legit care less for anyone but myself. Most of the world is a group of idiots that can only appeal to the authorities that have the guns, and everyone else is at their mercy. All the good men died long ago and this world needs a rightful cleansing before we can get that back.

Also, the Dunning-Kruger has, ironically, created a Dunning-Kruger where stupid people think they are smart just because they are self-aware of their stupidity and smart people are afraid of saying anything because they don't want to come off as smart in case they get Dunning-Kruger'd.

Yeah MBTI would at least be a generic categorization of certain personality types. The problem obviously being it's not scientific but certain MBTI types do have a tendency to not only be more curious but also more "fair" IE listen to the opponents side. There are "curious" people but those people wouldn't listen to you for a second if you started debating climate change or the Holocaust with them.

>There are "curious" people but those people wouldn't listen to you for a second if you started debating climate change or the Holocaust with them.

That's big anchor. I was thinking a bit about this, because I thought having ability to question yourself, your own dogmas, is sufficient enough but then I realized even I had to talk/listen to people with different opinions just from pure curiosity, gaining new perspective. However the results of this are terrible. I'm often "schizophrenic"/neutral in my opinions because I'm well aware often both sides have very valid arguments (maybe for different reasons) and also often there isn't just one plain simple solution to problems. That's why I always say that people need to talk more to each other even if they are ideological "enemies" because they will find out we are nothing but few folks trying to solve something.
