The problem is not the airhead celebrities spewing bullshit, it's the majority of the population that buys their shit (music-wise and idea-wise). People talk about "sheeple", but that sounds cute, and does not display the proper amount of disgust. These brain dead average people then get to vote, giving their simplistic and panic-driven opinions so much political power that the whole democracy falls apart (I am not talking about any specific country here, it's the same everywhere). Politicians play the game of sending the population of mongos into another panic, lying to them, and then getting elected again. And then they complain about their voices being ignored.

Mongos (not just down syndrome people, litterally 90% of the population) should no longer be allowed to vote, as they cannot make an informed decision, easily fall for lies and for fearmongering.

Actually, I am not even a doomer, I've had my existential crisis already, and now I don't feel depressed anymore. However, I still have almost no energy to do anything, but I hope that this will come back as well. I fucking hate degenerate normies that are too dumb to think for themselves. From time to time, I think the majority of the population deserves being treated as cattle, as an expendable resource.

I would like to just add here that often people see politicians as people of some kind of higher (not moral though) standard. Like they have some privileged status as humans. It's very easy to see that politicians in most of the cases are nothing more than just one of those braindead people from the crowd elected to certain positions. It's this self-feeding machinery of idiotism.

So I use to be a doomer for about a year before it was a thing. I just saw the meme and looked you guys up because I was nostalgic.

I was always pretty depressed and had a drinking problem but in my mid twenties I was able to get an okay job and my own studio apartment in the local city. The job was a night shift job so I switched my sleep schedule to sleep in the day time and be awake all night, even on days I didn't work. If I had three days off in a row, that meant I didnt utter a word for three days. I was cooped up in my studio, sitting by the window blowing smoke out into the night. I was getting autistic about my diet and as a result I actually went from 400+ pounds down to 250. I use to stay in my studio, watch youtube videos and browse 4chan/8chan from sunset till sunrise. In the morning I would take the bus to the grocery store for food/booze and then drink myself to sleep. I would also take long long night walks, my excuse being I needed cigarettes. I really miss my night walks.

Long story longer I met a girl on okcupid who was the first woman who ever made me laugh. She was really witty, grew up with a junkie prostitute for a mother and was in and out of foster care. She was pretty dark, not very sophisticated and not very moody but we jived on the same wavelength. As part of my courtship I took fabric from my old pants that were way way too big for me and sewed by hand a stuffed crescent moon for her, inspired by that song and our long text conversations all night.

I said im not a doomer anymore because, well, we got married. We actually have a child on the way. I switched to day shift and im not drinking every day and I quit smoking. Im even going back to school. I dont think the woman saved me, she just caught me while I was getting myself out of that hole, but Im very glad I met her.

I can't say if I like Lantlos or not. .Neon is a good album and if someday I get brave enough to do it Melting Sun would be the album playing, but everything before is really not of my liking.

Anathema's "Alternative 4" was all around a sad album that aproached only dark themes from top to bottom, one of my favorites.

The band became too sunlighted after it tough. They are better musicians technically speaking, but I don't feel the draw to it without the doomer thematics, since Alternative 4 was the album that made me want to know then more.
