Since when HR went from "we are just here to settle problems so you won't sue the company" to "we've seen the e-mail you sent to other colleagues about this lady's milkers, you are fired"? But the whole system under which corporations operate is based on this practice, where you - usually as manager of some team - have to send quarter year reports where you describe how you contributed to company's growth, how are you as team motivated, etc. in very corporate-like language. It's waste of paper, since reasons why entire teams get laid off are based usually on pure economical reasons and it's not like anyone actually reads those reports or even care about what you have to say.
