Adults care and know only about four things:

1. *money/capital*

2. *sex/love*

3. *politics*

4. *socio-psychology*

Hint: you cannot.

Has anyone ever noticed that physical science is usually aimed at schoolchildren or adult nerds but social science is aimed at general middle-age/elderly populace?

It's because innovation is less profitable than manipulation.

 No.12790

>>12789

No, it's because only a small fraction of the population can meaningfully contribute to innovation.

 No.12875

Do you know why socio-psychology is that important? Because it's key to being successful corporate rat. People feel so important when they are making charts and stats about customers and market and shit, when they feel like gurus predicting shit based on human behavior, etc. Then these fuckers make expensive lectures and books where they are in expensive suit mumbling all this pointless corporate crap to NPCs who will never make it because they are selling water to ocean.

>Then these fuckers make expensive lectures and books where they are in expensive suit mumbling all this pointless corporate crap to NPCs

I literally quit an office job over this. Well, this and pointless rules HR kept making up just so that they could justify their existence. Ironically, that job is what got me into 8chan. LOL at the IT people for blocking cuckchan but not this shithole.

It just goes to show that adults are nothing more than overgrown children. If theyre so "mature/rational/logical" why do they need counselors for personal problems yet they criticize young people for needing help getting their shit together?

Since when HR went from "we are just here to settle problems so you won't sue the company" to "we've seen the e-mail you sent to other colleagues about this lady's milkers, you are fired"? But the whole system under which corporations operate is based on this practice, where you - usually as manager of some team - have to send quarter year reports where you describe how you contributed to company's growth, how are you as team motivated, etc. in very corporate-like language. It's waste of paper, since reasons why entire teams get laid off are based usually on pure economical reasons and it's not like anyone actually reads those reports or even care about what you have to say.

 No.12969

I'd put both politics and socio-psychology into a "power" category and add "health" too, but you aren't wrong.

Those'd also be the 4 categories you can put magical texts in since antiquity. It's basically human instincts, and it proves that the species hasn't really progressed for ten-thousand years.

 No.12985

>>12966

It's all meaningless ritual at this point, some kind of corporate rain-dance. HR being the way it is it comes down to the fact that colleges graduate way more people than they should, this hyper-credentialization has created a society obsessed with bullshit jobs and bullshit rules.

 No.13019

You're wrong. The majority of humanity hold one thing above everything else. That is pleasure. Everything a normalfag does is for their own satisfaction and they will never do anything that breaks that pleasure.

 No.13068

>>12969

"Life is simple. Humans just make it fucking complicated." At least thats the saying I hear from older cynics.

Humans are creatures of instinct just like any other animal. People only respect you if you have multiple skills bc work effieciency and basic survival.

He's a run-of-the-mill televangelist; caring more about his wallet than his Lord and Saviour.

It shows that institutions are far more autistic than actual Aspies.

 No.13072

Pleasure is accessible only by these four social sciences. Most folks are too ashamed to admit it; thats why I listed four things instead of the main reason.

This is the sensualist/sacralist, or single scalar score iterated prisoner's dilemma model / instincts and will debate.

The doctrine of original sin is that those instincts are can be sinful, not because their ends are sinful, but because people don't know how to act on them correctly. The noble savage heresy denies original sin.

>It shows that institutions are far more autistic than actual Aspies.

That's managerialism for you. it's what you get when a bunch of midwits pretend that they can objectively manage everybody else's affairs, while they themselves have no skin in the game.

 No.13147

>>13117

The point was that, original sin being denied, it would be possible to create a system in which people wouldn't need to work on themselves and seek grace in order to be good.
