I'm actually trying to solve huge problem now. I basically live relatively in middle of nowhere but suddenly there are houses growing around and right next to me 2 boomers cut all the fucking trees and are starting to build. I have to find some place far away but what bothers me if I move to some shed in forest, how will I grow shit because fertility of that ground might not be that good + trees - less sunlight (which might be not so good for solar panels as well, right?). Well I don't know what the fuck will I do, I just want to be autonomous and I don't really like living in middle of building site, beautiful rural area turning into concrete block.

Hmm that's a toughie, I don't have that problem because I think the forest on the island I live on is protected somewhat. If I were you, I'd find a place where new suburbs aren't likely to go up, somewhere rocky, uneven or swampy, flat ground is probably always first to go when forests are cleared for construction. With the sunlight, I think it comes down to the canopy your region's trees make up, and of course how thick it is, I'm sure there are natural openings if you're not planning on cutting a tree or two.

I will find something, I'm sure, but it's unfortunate. I wouldn't mind living that much around some quiet neighborhood but this just means in next few years there will be nothing else but construction, dust and noise everywhere. I know a lot people from germany, austria and france who live like 20 minutes away from closest "civilization" (shop, etc.). I don't know how that is possible.

What boggles my mind is that I would have been much better off defending myself during the apocalypse when I was ages 9-13. My friends and I had three different forts in the woods with rations and random clubbing weapons. I'm less prepared in my early 30s than I was 20 years ago.

 No.12732

I already have a family farm where to retreat if shit hits the fan.

I'm getting Ted Kaczynski flashbacks reading that. Ted became a "Eco-Terrorist" when he was living in the woods until he began to notice the trees being cut down by giant boomer corporations. You know what you must do anon. Ted understood that no matter how far into the woods you go, the Boomers will follow. You must kill them at their source!!!

don't worry, the baoomer die off is going to start in the next 5-10 years, and millennials only care about gentrifying ghettoes. op can find a nice plot of land and we can all wait for some nigger ted to try blowing up those stupid extended window apartaments that keep popping up everywhere.

I live in the middle-of-nowhere, Montana. I have a Dollar General 15 minutes away but even my nearest Walmart is over 40 min away. I don't understand the people who give up their humanity to avoid driving.

And I'm happy that way

Those were amazing times, glad I had it in childhood as well. Running around in nature every day, even after school, building bunkers from whatever we could find. Truly brings back memories.

>I'm getting Ted Kaczynski flashbacks reading that.

If I will work in IT for few more years, it's more than likely I will end up completely disconnecting myself from technologies. I'm starting to have enough of it, enough of where it's heading. And truly yes, I think I wrote about this before, I'm this green freak, something dies inside of me when I see trees going down just because some niggers wanted to make buck. It was noticeable on places like near hometown of my grandfather. He used to take me to forest when I was kid, we were picking up mushrooms and stuff like that. When he died, he wanted to be cremated and we should put the ashes out in forest as his last will. When we went there we realized how much of that forest is just gone, just blank areas with yellow dry grass. Something like wildfires you had in California is needed, it should all burn down, preferably with houses of those greedy old farts and their families inside so new trees could grow from their ashes. This shit really just boils my blood. What about rivers though? All around world you have these chemical companies pretending how ecological they are, yet they put into water their waste, lying it's harmless, but when you go to that river, you realize not only it smells like shit but also you won't find no life in that water as well.

>>12749

>I have a Dollar General 15 minutes away but even my nearest Walmart is over 40 min away

Comfy. You also learn how to not be a crybaby since you can't just call ambulance every time there is a rash on your asshole. In place where I live it takes EMS to come relatively long time, so you get used to solving your problems yourself. I know people from cities who go to hospital even if they get a flu, their temperature slightly rises up and instantly they demand some shot (I don't even know what chemicals are they putting into them). Immunity among general population is damn low, common illnesses like flu are getting stronger, doctors cure everything with antibiotics, it's ridiculous.

Why? If society were to fall I'd probably kill myself, once society falls theres no way of bringing it back up, especially in the way I'd want it to. Sure being alone would be fine, but living day by day and worrying about surviving is even worse than what I have today.

If you have no problem with severe isolation, find the most remote forested area you can find, buy a lot of land there since it's cheap as fuck, then start cutting trees as needed.

Nobody will be able to ruin it for you if you own all the surrounding land.

Maybe I don't want to live enough, besides it's so densely populated here that the most important thing I think, is to have a method of bailing out first.

I actually recall plenty of real cheap, forested land around Austria being for sale for "plantation purposes only". You could buy that and set up shop, and I doubt anyone would come knocking

>>12773

Fellow danebro.

Probably all of Sjælland is a danger zone, Fyn and (best part) Jylland is where to go. Massive fields, low pop density and plenty of crops in the right season.

>real cheap, forested land around Austria

Yeah, it's the laws here. If trees on your property connect to a piece of land full of trees larger than 100 square meters (IIRC), those trees are part of a forest and are not allowed to be clearcut without replacing them with trees.

Basically, forest is forest forevermore, unless you have political connections. I know a farmer that lost half a field to that retarded piece of legislation when his father got sick.
