>First of all. Directories under general. >>>/dir/ >>>/boards/ and any number of other redirection based boards would be here. Not much, but I could see this being a really relevant category that people would use a lot.
I hope so! If there are other boards aside from >>>/boards/ and >>>/dir/ that are good for this, I'll make a category. They'd probably go in the meta category if I was to make one, along with a board for, say, CSS help.
>The "I don't want to talk just give me the goods" category if you will. >>>/n/ might be useful with it's format here.
>>>/n/ is a discussion board regardless of its format, and was created to be an alternative to >>>/pol/ due to HW's disappointment with various stages of moderation there. It's a political board first and foremost, even if it has a different spin on it. That's part of the point of this board, not just to give exposure to boards of different categories, but to give boards that are alternatives to larger boards exposure, in case people want an environment different than the one the large board offers them.
>Next. Meta. You know what this will include. >>>/operate/ >>>/meta/ obviously. But also things like >>>/polmeta/
>There are a ton of board specific metaboards and it would be a shame not to have them in a directory.
That's a thought, but I can't see those boards being of much interest to users outside of those dealing with those boards. If the larger boards that have meta boards do such a poor job of giving them exposure that people rely on >>>/dir/ to find them, that means that the people running those boards are terrible.
If there are enough boards around for discussing 8ch and the various events here, like >>>/newspaper/ , I'll add a meta category.
