There's way too much ways to get points, and almost nothing to spend them on. Companions are all types of useless, artifacts suck, misc equip is piss-cheap and pretty much useless. The CYOA pretty much revels in "Everything is sooo much stronger than you", and is heavily geared towards trap-making, and yet it doesn't even have the common decency of allowing you access to a machine shop or a tool shed, or even a damn gun. At least some gunpowder, come on.

Ruined City free shelter
I hole up in the shelter, making friends with the rats. I have a slingshot, those seaguls won't stand a chance. Tiny cramped corridors will force all my pursuers into traps, and I'm pretty safe down there from the dire wolves. I will use my voice-projecting spell to confuse them, lead them to traps, and then kill them. I will deactivate all the ventilation shafts and doors, so The Other won't be able to literally smoke me out. I am the only one down here anyway, enough air for me. My first goal will be to gather all the skeletons into one place and trap them there. I will use my rats to safely gather all the shells on the beach, and bring them to me, for heating up and creating basically limestone. Good luck digging yourselves out of concrete with only rusty blades and old bone.
Cannibals are pretty much a non-concern while I'm inside, and will be dealt with easily.
Once I'm done with the skellies and The Other, I will start raiding the outside for cannibal poon, slaves, and will make grisly totems out of their bodyparts to spook em. I will pull the "body of christ" stuff on them, and feed them wine and bread to play on their religious zealotry. Then, we'll start purposefully annihilating dire wolves. With entire tribe of people, we'd be able to trap the island like it's nobody's business. We'll rebuild the ruined city, and raid the temple for fun stuffs.
