I don't really feel invested. I think I'm better off not even in the city. Probably living it up elsewhere far away from all this.

Also if you choose not to be a guildmaster doesn't that mean this whole thing was pointless? I mean from what I've read nothing seems really worth it so far outside of shortsighted success. Unless I'm doing it for my family or to help those I care about…then that changes everything completely now that I think of it that way.

I'd have no real investment in personal power outside of being able to protect and serve those I care about.

Anything else about this world that I should know about? Any supernatural bullshit I should know about?

There's no outright magic but the laws of physics are different enough for airships to be relatively easy to produce and useful. I guess most of the world is too mountainous for traditional roads so most inter-city travel is by airship.

You can always scram, withdraw most of your money and start a new life in another city. But that won't help most of the people the city that have been so welcoming and good to you.
