I suppose to really comprehend what is possible with the materials and process, and therefor know which ones to take and which to skip, you might need quite a lot of knowledge and some creativity. Personally I just take them all. They all seem like they should be useful for something, and it's not hard to get the points.
The main thing that confuses me is portal/uniquely + increasingly/infectiously. They seem on the surface like they should be incompatible, but nothing in the CYOA design says so (they aren't in the same column). Also the general corruption mechanic is dumb, basically it's near-impossible, and near-pointless to fight it, so there's not much reason to pay attention to it at all.
<Access
>Portal/Uniquely
The way back closes
>Increasingly/Infectiously
Might not be allowed, but new ways may open to allow more in (this is a net-0 points anyway)
>Projection/Once in a Lifetime/Tightening Bond
I can't go back anyway, not for long.
<Materials and processes
>All
No need to worry about what can and can't be done, if it can be done I can do it.
<Relics
>Iron Ring
Definitely the power choice
>Frozen Native
Lots of options, but it's mostly between the native and the blood. Having something like a guide should be useful, waifu optional
<Corruption
>Taint/Infection
Just give in, there's no point in fighting it. It will happen eventually anyway
>Ideal Form/Warped Form/Malleable Form
So I fit in a bit better, but I can also change things as I want. While this technically applies to natives as well, the other choices more or less define their ideals in a static way
>Oathbound/Truthbound
Remember this applies to basically everyone in the shadow world. No one can lie or break promises. Definitely restrictive and something to be careful about, but generally a good thing.
>Light Bitten, Flavorless, Hunger
Basically these just prevent me from going back. There's little light in the shadow realm to worry about.
>Ageless
Mandatory
>Shadow Sight
As I said, there's little light
>Adaptation
Necessary, but a bit disconcerting to have my comfort and tastes warped like this.
>Hypersexual Form
Lots more lewd to come
>Grace
This is kind of weird since it means that EVERYONE in the shadow realm will be faster than cars, but it could be useful to have
>Mending Shadows
Healing is definitely a plus for everyone
>Dark Currents, Shadow Sorcerer, Hungry Dark, Shadow Thaumaturgy
The only actual advantage I have besides the crafting (maybe), since natives don't get magic, they are born fully corrupted. Doesn't seem THAT useful but I'll take it all anyway
<Beasts
>Infested Lands, Infested Seas, Infested Skies
I'll take it all, would be kind of weird not to.
>Tame
If I could apply different levels to different beasts I would. Tame or wild "animals" and sexually agressive monstergirls could be an interesting combination. Since I can't break it up though I'll just play it safe
>Common
There REALLY needs to be a middle ground between rare and common. 12 bears per square kilometer vs 1 dog per square kilometer? I'm not really sure which I should pick they both seem too extreme.
>Corrupting Essence
Whatever, we already have no choice but to go full corruption. I guess the "enjoyable" part would be weird with claws though
>Sexual Assault
Monstergirls are apparently "beasts", so that's cool. They are all tame so nothing is going to "attack" unwanted.
>Rebuilt Forms
This kind of goes both ways, saying monstergirls are fine but intelligence isn't. I'm not really going to pay much attention
<Natives
>Landbound Natives, Seabound Natives, Skybound Natives
Why not everwhere? Slightly less realistic than with the beasts but it's fine regardless.
>Friendly
Another one that needs a middle ground. I want SOME friends, not everyone friends. Better that then the alternative though.
>Rare
I probably need to flip these around, make beasts rare and natives common, but at least natives living in compact areas with huge spaces between cities (therefor keeping a low average while still having dense populations) makes sense. It does not make much sense for animals.
>Fetishized
I MIGHT want to back off on this one, but it seems the only point I have to control what the natives are.
>Enlightenment, A spark of Magic
I can share my advantages if I want to
>A Breaking
The world shouldn't be static.
