Very pleased to see a full continuation of one of my favorite silly little comic book CYOA pages.

>Mentor

Sabretooth. Not only was he always my favorite bad guy in the X-Men comics, it'd be interesting to have a prolonged conversation/relationship with the guy, see what he's actually like given his general lack of character development in most arcs. Interacting with him would be less predictable than most other options and I'd be interested to learn what kind of philosophy/skills he'd pass on to a sidekick. That, and I always minmax when there are multiple branching point paths.

>Power

Rank 2 of everything 'cept for Durability. Five points on a healing factor, 3 on strength and speed, last one of 12 on being somewhat durable. In the Speed section: I'll take the straight running speed for transport and to make for very comical surprise tackles.

>Moni

15,000,000$ USD for an incredibly dangerous dosage of gamma radiation? Sounds good. I'll take the condition to be disco music- firstly so that I can select when it happens, and secondly so that it isn't just a hulk-ripoff thing. Adrenaline makes sense, but I'd just flat out prefer to have Earth Wind & Fire play, thus causing a temporary increase in skeletal size and density, a total loss/relocation of visibly apparent melanin, resulting in a chalk-white visage with a temporarily bald, misshapen and angular skull (think Red Skull), sunken eyes, highly visible ribcage, severely lengthened but now equally proportioned limbs (arms the same length as legs).

The last 5-mil is to be spent on some got-dang real estate. 'Lair': A two-layer cellar underneath an suburbanite bar on the west coast, preferably in Seaside, Oregon. Equidistant from the nicer parts of town (park, indoor pool, good grocery outlet) and of course the beach. Three week-nights and every saturday/sunday night I'd be very happy to just run a reputable business selling people nice drinks and yummy tempura seafood, with the occasional fried chicken, steak, or nice fruit platter. Then, on the flip, I could be training with Sabretooth, helping him out, generally having a good ol' time elsewhere. The basement I would like to include a CRT for my DVD player and my SNES, a hammock, a mattress, one of my favorite chairs, and plenty of free-weights, along with a small mechanical workshop for my bicycle firstly and tools for whatever else. It'd be really super to have a place to hang my hat other than the fifth-wheel trailer I've got (which I am grateful for, no mistake). I'd also probably park the trailer out back or in an alley for another spot to sleep on ground-level, for sunlight and fresh air.

>Pals

X-23 was always a very fun character and would be a powerful ally- I'd be happy to get to know her, and maybe get a chance to meet James, the Wolverine himself.

Wade Wilson, because he's got a good sense of humor and deserves a loyal friend, which I'd count myself lucky to be.

Beta Ray Bill, because fucking cool

I also really like Frank Castle, as do most folks. He has guns, and would be neat to meet.

>Drawbacks

Unmasked, Orphaned

Closest to my natural tendencies and existing life. Wouldn't really change much: I'm not secretive and I don't really have many folks. The ones I have don't really like me much.

With that, one power point to the last bit of durability I can buy, maxing the Physical section. The remaining two into 'General', to design a custom power called 'The Jam'

With my second drawback, I'll make friends with Jenny Walters, the She Hulk- as well as Moon Knight. They're both stupendous favorites (and of course it's good to know a lawyer).

The Jam. The Jam allows, firstly, for one to vibrate like a human subwoofer, playing music they've heard like a speaker using sheer willpower. It also allows for one to temporarily 'boost' mundane items- turning a Volkswagen Bug into a massive rig with monster truck tires and armor plating- or just permanently enhancing an item's durability and functionality in proportion with their superpowered self. Ala: turning a normal Schwinn into a bike that not only has un-flattenable tires and permanently perfect paint, also allowing it's gear system and frame to handle the 67061662 mph that the Speed 2 option I took allows me to /run/. Only a couple of items could ever be boosted permanently, and this Jam Boost cannot be revoked or redone.

Temporary boosts are not limited, but only last about six hours and are far more mundane. I'll be applying the permanent boost of durability and power to my bike, as mentioned, turning it into an eternal Schwinn, shiny and well functioning for the rest of my life regardless of the heavy-duty conditions associated with being a super…person. The rest of my permanent boost will be applied to a few of my favorite pants, and my favorite two hats, a hunting cap for winter and a summer straw hat. Finally The Jam allows one to 'boost' their own body, but often with detrimental and risky results. As an example, they could turn one of their hands into a diesel drill or a spade or an ax made of sinew and bone mimicking steel ala Battletoads- but this won't always work, and may in fact be impossible to undo for up to an hour. A more complex shift like a buzzsaw or a drill has a chance of being really fucking painful depending on how carefully it was done- whereas something more static like a blade or hammer is apt to get stuck in place for an extended period.

The Jam can also add power to a punch in form of an extensive shockwave, or summon items that have been boosted to the user- even allowing one to air-dash with a punch like in Hulk: Ultimate Destruction for the PS2. It is movement, it is power, it is groove itself.
