The Regime
Seriously, this CYOA is so easy, I don't even have to worry:
1. Brain Bunker and Insane Determination make me an implacable force, hellbent on escaping back to my own world before it's too late. Insane Determination also serves to patch up my personality's biggest flaw.
2. Being sent to before the story means things won't go to shit until decades later, meaning I have a good shot at achieving my objective as fast as possible, and that I'm basically guaranteed to achieve it before the story starts. Hell, Endbringers don't even show up until the 90s, IIRC.
2. Plot Armor does what it says on the tin. What's more, it promises that "so long as you keep trying, something will come along to make sure you survive". Since I have Insane Determination, I always keep trying, so something always comes along to keep me alive. Since I have MacGyver+, I'll always be able to take advantage of whatever that something is.
3. Having Tinker 0 in conjunction with MacGyver+ means I have a single tinkertech bicycle that I bought from someone that I'm able to maintain, repair, modify, upgrade, overclock, etc., in conjunction with whatever engineering bullshit I can pull with MacGyver+ on its own. MacGyver+ explicitly has some syngergy with other tinker powers, so it should play into Tinker 0 just as well. Plus, I wouldn't be able to justify being able to maintain tinkertech unless I had a tinker power of some sort, and MacGyver+ is the most fitting one for that.
4. Having Fit AND Attractive makes my Objective of maintaining a Saitama routine for 3 years feasible. What's more, since I can use air conditioning and eat whatever I want, it's actually easier.
After I complete my Objective, I'll spend the points on stuff like Timeless and various "Charisma" Master powers. Maybe a mobility based tinker power, or Tampered Trajectory for Pokemon-esque bicycle mobility. Doesn't matter, as long as I make it back. Then I can play hero to my heart's content.
The name of the game is staying as a joke F-lister, someone who no one would bother messing with since there's no point. I stay out of everyone's way, and since I don't actually have powers, no one recruits me. Worst they'd do is try and steal my tinkertech bike, and that just isn't worth it unless they'll use it themselves, in which case I can track them down and steal it back. Even if I'm a laughingstock for being that one normie trying to get superpowers by training super hard every day, even if the papers publish an expose at my expense, I'll still keep going until I make it.
