What does everyone think of jumpchain?

In CYOA's I like mechanics and worldbuilding.

The mechanics of jumpchain are not to my taste, every page is rather simplified to fit the template and the premise leaves the player massively overpowered with abilities having nothing to do with the themes and challanges of most of the worlds you visit.

The worldbuilding is stringing a bunch of familiar franchises together even if the universes aren't really compatible. It doesn't tickle my imagination.

I don't like them, honestly. Like you said, having to fit the template is a real disadvantage. They're all the same. The CYOAs end up never having the unique flavor of the world they're based on.

Bringing a gun or a lightsaber to the Pokemon world? What?

Allergic to Pokemon? Why would you ever choose that in this CYOA? Makes no sense.

Instead, you should be able to use points to attain a profession, like a Breeder or a Scientist, or use them to garantee you'll ba able to catch and train better Pokemon. Ghost and Psychics being worth more then Normal and Fire Types, Dragons moreso. You could use a bunch of points to become a dRagon specialist, like Lance, or use them all to get a single Legendary Pokemon.

On a more personal note, I hate that these all assume you'll leave after a while, leaving everything you've built behind. Moving from universe to universe, never being able to visit the same twice bothers me.

Just my two cents.

Small town(50) Start as 12 year old(Dice) Starter(Charizard gg ez) Save State(600) Hm Collect(Free) Phys Fit(50 from small town) Stun gun(300) 3x Masterball(100) Repel(+100) Not Going Back.

Stun Gun + Phys fit allows me to rape any pokegirl

save state allows me to never suffer the consequences

bg ez(Try making a decent one next time please, most of the flaws are extremely crippling for a small amount of points gained, most equipment costs too much, moneybags is 100 but is essentially worth at least 250, half the skills are fucking pointless and the only 600cp one that's worth taking is save state, which is way too strong).

Also

Overall it's pretty badly made, the costs need to be better balanced and it looks like it was made by someone who doesn't play pokemon at all(dude GUNS AND AUGS AND TITANFALL LMAO)

yeah early on the jumps (both those by QS and others) had weird issues. It has become a lot better over time.
