Extra slot x2
Auto Load
Overwrite
Earlier start
Net Gain
I ignore meta CYOA options. I've made plenty of god builds already, there's no reason to bring them in here.
Earlier start sounds like it SHOULD be a 1-time thing. This one time only you can go back as far as you like and start using your save slots from that point. That's USUALLY how it goes anyway. In this case it's always available, but strangely limited. I can retroactively save at any time before the present day (July 12, 2018). After today (when I met the benefactor), I can save either any point before July 12th OR that exact moment, but not any time in between, so on July 14th I can't retroactively save to July 13th, because that's after meeting, but I CAN save July 11th. Furthermore, I cannot save to the future, so if I load a save for July 10th I can't overwrite it to July 11th, even though July 11th would be valid from now. So… confusing.
The pseudo time travel makes things tricky. Normally my saves would be "story, chapter, page". In other words, one save at the beginning of the "story" of my savescumming life (earliest possible point), one save at the beginning of the current "chapter" of my life, wherever I'm happiest going back to medium-term, and one save typically at the start of each day, allowing me to repeat days until I get them "perfect".
With time travel the "story" save stays right NOW. The problem is that the "chapter" and "page" saves can invert. From the furthest point I can save to any prior point, so I want to save as far forward as possible in order to maintain progress. Going back to the "Story" save in order to pick a new "chapter" wipes all previous chapters progress, but going back to a future "page" save allows me to maintain some small amount of progress. What I have instead is a "new game", a "best attempt" and a "next attempt" slot. Anytime I want to try something again I first decide if I like my current result better than whatever is saved in "best attempt", if I do, I save THEN to slot 2, then I use slot 3 to go back to whenever I want to try a redo from. If I ever manage to get past NOW I can switch to the "story chapter page" setup, and maybe even overwrite "story" if I'm that much happier with it.

[1] Good As New
[2] Net Gain
[2] Moar CYOA
The relationships that we build with people grow over time. I'm not a big fan of going far back in time because I feel like it would destroy those relationships. It's lonely to feel a strong connection to somebody, while they don't have the same connection with you (yet). I have no problem with small time jumps though. Like, going back a day or two to win the lottery or reloading a few times to win in a contest.
So, that's how I'll play this one. I took an extra save slot and overwrite so that I could keep several recent save slots. Auto-Load will let me recover from unexpected fatal events if I so choose. "Net Gain' hints that learning magic may be possible. If it is, then being able to load repeatedly to rapidly acquire knowledge and power would be huge - and I'm playing this as a meta so "Moar CYOA" is a must have for me as well. Gotta have that immortality.

8 Points
>Extra Save Slot
>Auto-Load
>Overwrite
>Earlier Start
>Journal
>Echoes
An extra save so one can be my anchor and the other be what I use in general. Auto-load as insurance. Overwrite so I can actually save scum and not just have two save anchors. Earlier start seems to be general and only limited to if you have overwrite or not, so I'll take it so in case I accidentally use both later in life I can return to where I put my original anchor before. I might also play around with my early life but I'd return to my original anchor save since I'm fine with my life as it is and wouldn't want to accidentally screw up too many things to change it drastically from the past. Journal so I basically have an eternal scrapbook and writing log for story ideas and stuff that'll follow me. Echoes so I can re-make friends easy and such throughout my save scumming time looping adventures.
I'd probably abuse the hell out of these powers. A fun short CYOA, the limited points make the interesting and useful abilities hard to chose from, I'm sure the build would be much different if I had a few more or few less points, or if I interpreted some of the descriptions wrong. As far as I can tell though, this is probably the build I"d want the most for myself out of the options.

Why would he give you the powers before you save him? Although it says he's immune to paradoxes, his decision creates a timeline where you don't save him. He's not rewarding the you who saved him but a you that hasn't and won't save him.

Clearly the you that saved him died horribly in the saving, so he's bestowing the time powers posthumously.

Really wish i had enough points for at least three save slots but i'll have to make do with the two i got. Auto Load and Overwrite are pretty much optimal if you want your power to be properly useful and if you don't want to randomly get killed.
I nearly didn't get Good as New since it's not guaranteed things will go to shit but i plan on abusing the power to get all sorts of magic powers and living for really long time and i guess those increase the chance of me being brutally murdered and getting mentally fatigued.
Net Gain so i can actually get those magic powers and retain them and so anything i work hard on won't be completely wasted if i die. Also this really makes me wonder what would happen if i'm very muscular in the current moment and revert to my childhood self?
Okay and then Earlier Start, as the first anon mentioned this one is pretty weird and depending on how it works it will completely change how i use the save power. I mean if i can always use it that means i can use both of my save slots in everyday life and don't have to keep one in the past as insurance. If it's only a one time thing i think i will put one of my save slots to the time i was 10 or something so i'm not too young and i can properly redo my life and change things i wish i had done differently when i'm done with mu current life.
Overall very nice CYOA, especially to me who loves everything time travel related.

Looks like we get 12 points instead of 8 points with this new update, and we get a companion. The author sure is spoiling us. Just like my last solution >>10293 I'll be playing this one as a meta.
Perks
[4] Extra Save Slot (x4)
[1] Auto-Load
[1] Overwrite
[2] Moar CYOA: Globe Keeper
[1] Autosave
[3] Companion
Saves
Autosave: Once per day
Save Slot #1: Win at life
Save Slot #2: Critical Event
Save Slot #3: Once per month
Save Slot #4: Once per year
Summary
So, as a meta I'm adding save/loading functions on top of my globe keeper build >>10280 - My companion will be my waifu. I'll have a basic autosave that saves at the start of each day to protect me from the unexpected even if I forget to use my other saves. I'll heavily use my first save slot to win at life. I could use it to rig anything chance-based in my favor. I'd always know where the dice will hit. I could use it to win at most things that require skill. For example I could enter an archery contest and if I miss my shot I could go back and redo it until I hit the bullseye. I could save just before an orgasm and repeatedly reload to experience numerous orgasms in a row.
My second save slot would be used just before critical events. It would protect me from situations that my autosave and my first save slot could not. For example if I were invited to go for a week long vacation at a holiday resort I would save just before going. At the end of the week if I discovered that hidden cameras had been placed inside my hotel room and embarrassing footage had been leaked to the internet I would just load my second save slot and undo it all. My third and forth save slots follow the same principle. If I need to go back before my second save slot I can go back a month by loading my third save slot. If I need to go back further than that for some reason I can backtrack a whole year. That should protect me from nearly any screw up.

mentioned the wording is ambiguous. Does Earlier Start lets me freely time travel at any point before I met the benefactor? I feel like the intended meaning was that I can choose one point and create a save there once but the way it is worded it is like if I had infinite virtual save states before I met the benefactor so I can create one at any point before I met him any time and load it.

Earlier start [10] and go back to when i was born basically, maybe a bit later.
Good as New [9] get rid of social anxiety and fucked brain
Net gain [7] assuming this is the only way to retain wisdom/physical fitness, not that i'm that wise, but i'm definitely wiser than when I was a kid, and I was also chubby as a kid.
Auto-load [6] too rad to pass up
Extra save slot [5] to dick around with more conveniently
Overwrite [4] To synergize with my extra save slot, also I might be able to overwrite into the past which would make time travel convenient and possible, even if I can't then I can just wait through my life again
Echoes [2] Rad
Moar CYOA [0] Could be rad, might do the little girl CYOA idunno

I think people are drastically underestimating the important of mental health when you're living this long.
Save slot 1: Right now, this is the status quo. If anything really really bad happens, I might need to go all the way back.
Save slot 2: Auto save yearly
Save slot 3: Auto save monthly
Save slot 4: Important decisions
Save slot 5: Reserved, used to roll back seconds or minutes to test out things.

Doesn't seem ambiguous to me. Instead of choosing a current moment for your save slot, you may choose a moment from before you met the benefactor. If you don't have Overwrite, that's it, but if you do have Overwrite then you can basically freely time travel as you suggest.

Just take more save slots and stop crying.
Or take something actually useful along with "all you really wanted", there's a bunch of things here that are useful regardless of circumstances (unless you plan to reload a couple times then just die of old age).
