It's been a few years that the establishment has doubled down on the TV propaganda with "above average" shows. I hate TV and anything related to hollywood but I can't deny that they're really pushing themselves comparing to the crap they used to make.

Cyberculture is still in the early stages. It's outer edges - geeks, programmers, etc. are slowly being flooded with members of the mainstream that want a piece of the action, esp. since developer wages are so high. Most people I work with have no clue what I'm talking about when I mentioned gibson or stephenson. The minority that does are people 10 years older than me (ie. the people who used to use aol n shit). The newbies are all in it of the money.
