To those that are already in a relationship or have been previously, how did you find the "one"? I'd love to be with a guy, only problem is I want to be with someone who holds the same values as me. Truth be told there are not a whole lot of guys that are either apolitical or at least center-right, not from what I've seen at-least.

If your BF is in the center and doesn't really care about politics I can imagine it not mattering. Dating a hardcore lefty as someone on the right would probably be a headache though, politics can be hard to ignore.

if i were you i would seperate core values from political shit. if you pidgeon hole yourself into dating centrists or righties youre daft, people change affiliations over time and what really matters is why someone is of a particular affiliation, their most basic understanding of the good. find you a boi wholl want to raise a family with you in 10-15 years time (assuming youre both young), thats what id suggest. get out there, join communities, and just meet/talk to people irl. when you find someone you like, start fairly casual but do couple stuff, go on dates and the like. also, should go without saying, but always make sure youre putting your best foot forward. nobody wants someone who isnt putting effort in.

Id go with what >>409251 said, figure out what your core values are and find someone who shares them. your political views don't have to line up entirely but that being said i'm not aware of any relationships where people who hold drastically different views last. just look for someone who close to what you are anon. I've only met one guy who shared my views but even that doesn't mean things will work.
