This is a much needed and refreshing post
I've seen people who have gotten serious damage to their bodies and ED and spiraled into depression after going on HRT because someone else convinced them that they were trans.
Nobody pushing it ever explained to them the risks or side effects.
On a side note, has anyone else noticed that HRT is being pushed HARD on twitter and the chans? It's not like trap culture at all, it's like a parasitic manipulative force from the outside, I don't know how to describe it. I have never seen the hrt pushing until it started up in early 2017 out of nowhere.

Yeah, I was internally struggling with it for a few years being a trap ewhore and a lot of it was pressure from the "trans community" or whatever. I don't have a problem with trans people or support groups but a good portion of them are extremely cult like and dogmatic with their idea of transitioning and there's a common narrative of "You like girl things, you like dressing up, you're undeniably trans and you HAVE to start transitioning trust us we know you better than you do." For someone struggling with their sexuality and personal image of themselves this can be extremely confusing and toxic. Similar to a religion they dangle the idea of "you won't be young forever better transition now" and so you feel pressured to act even if you have strong doubts about it or don't even understand yourself remotely well yet. I've browsed a lot of communities and some of the narratives and positions they take reek of "join the winning team or else" instead of just "learn to understand yourself so you can be happy and make the right decision." Even a lot of genuine trans people talk openly about how toxic their online communities end up.
Also PS another group who pressure transition are """straight""" guys who want to see you go through transition to satisfy their own fetishes which is even more fucked up, this can undoubtedly skew young boys into transition for sexual validation and to feel better about their own worth in general even if they aren't trans.
