I don't have experiences on the site either, but from what I've read you can find love, it's just extremely unlikely. It's 99% guys looking for sex. Moving to a big city won't do much really, the logistics would only be a big gain if you want to fuck someone asap. It's 4 months that I'm using Grindr, and my experience is a mix one.
You can defenetly find anything, from quick sex to a serious relationship. But the first is really more common.
I still found people looking for a relationship, so I think you can make it with some luck.
Grindr is made mostly for people who want a quick and secret fun.
Expect to be contact by lots of guys who want quick fun or pic. Lot's of taps as well (Tap is 'I don't know what to say rather than 'Hi' but I want to chat with you')

Well I used grindr a couple years ago when I was freshly 18 and wanted to suck some cock. They certainly don't waste any time on there, but the last guy I met with from there was actually a nice person and after talking to me a bit he suggested that I'm not really the type for grindr, which is mostly full of people who won't talk to you and don't want to. I would rather have a genuine relationship.
Well, I haven't gotten anywhere since then, but it wasn't a bad experience. You say you're not interested in quick hookups so you might not have much luck with it.
