I'm 23 and still a cuteboy trap. Honestly I would totally love to go on hormones but i don't have any sort of gender dysphoria whatsoever unless I stick in trap mode for like days on end in which case I start feeling super weird and wrong that i'm all girly and have to just take a break from it.

I don't think that not being who you want to be (whatever that might be, a straight feminine male or female-attracted genderqueer person or a lesbian trans woman), because someone is afraid, and they are so because they fear for their safety or are otherwise objectively at risk of being abused for it because they live in a non-supportive country/society/environment/family ; well I don't think that that is a hallmark of someone not being that thing.

Your best bet - which is what LGBT people have historically done - is to :

1) Move to the biggest city that you can. This is often the capital, but sometimes the capital is not as progressive as another big city. In your case, I believe that Ljubljana is the best.

2) Enroll at a university. No matter if you're able to move, this is your best chance to meet progressive people. Pick the best one you can, just make sure it's progressive.

3) Move to an altogether more tolerant country. You're lucky to be part of a great, larger community founded on the principle of solidarity and common good, the European Union, contrary to what you might hear or read here, we're welcoming of you. Graz is 2 hours away by bus from Ljubljana. 19 Euros.

But, make sure you plan this well. You might have to do some shitty work at first, like, I don't know, working in a hotel or restaurant or bookstore, but in the long run you might find it to be the best long-term prospect for your life.

In your place, I would try to get the best education I can.

i actually live in italy lol, i'm in vacation in slovenia, it's not that bad where i am, my family fortunately don't care and is supportive, i think i just feel really unconfortable with the male gaze

I stopped taking care of myself (stopped shaving, put on weight) because I realized I'm going to die alone anyway.

As advice from someone who was far too lucky with genetics for his own good (body, not really face shape) and didn't take HRT seriously as an option..

Look into informed consent clinics for hormones. You can take a smaller amount than someone fully transitioning and have a feminine body longer.

I'm feeling like I made a mistake not doing it younger before my bones grew to masculine shapes. Fuck. It's SO easy to go feminine to masculine but hard as hell to go the opposite way. Go feminine first and see if you actually like it.

Some people (usually Internet randoms) have told me I'm cute but I never capitalized it, because I was very depressed and thought I would die alone, and soon, by my own hand.

Only had one fling from 18-25. Feels like I wasted my youth by not really putting myself out there.
