Sorry, but the only WWII off road cars I'd want to drive are this sexy Nazi convertible, and this British Land Rover, both of which would give you a much more comfortable ride, the Willy's Jeep was well known to be extremely uncomfortable, even more so on rough terrain, I dunno about you, but I'd rather have my ass hurting from other things than a car seat :^)

Better to die in glory than sit in a garage and rust. It's the only way I can look at it so I don't feel bad. Seeing cars rusting away is heartbreaking, and I know first hand it's mostly because you don't have the money or time to fix it. If I ever make a lot of money the first thing I want to do is give my dad cash to fix his old car.
It's nothing fancy, but I'd like to see her on the road again.

He's got stable income and those cars are usually used E30, while there are other BMW cars from that period that aren't that expensive, especially down here in Bavaria.
And they keep costs to a minimum by doing all the work on their cars themselves. Dude even has a motor crane.
His oldest brother built a BMW E30 (I think) with V8 engine. If that damn engine block weren't so heavy. Same goes for chassis and stuff. There's just so much power you can get out of it, and usually it's not enough ~.~
Also it wasn't the first car he totaled. At some point friend told him "I'm only getting you a VW until you learn how to drive" and that piece was shit. Literally died on every T-Section and stuff. Thing was hilarious.
Poor guy doesn't have any luck with his cars though. After that he drove an Audi 80 and the motor failed, installed a new one, it failed on the testdrive.
Drives a BMW again now I think.
But why drive a car without having fun? That's the whole point of motor sports, to have fun. And excitement.
A car I really want to try some day is the NSU Ro80 though, first rotary engine car in serial production.
Another thing they did was roller-paint an old as fuck BMW that was junk the moment they bought it but it passed inspection (I don't know how. The drivers safety belt was fixed onto the chassis with a screw, the drivers seat would not move, and when we drove home from Munich the lights front lights failed on the Autobahn. Scariest ride home ever).
So many cars I wanna drive some day though. Mazda RX-6 and RX-7, NSU Ro80, MX-5, Equus 770 Bass, etc. Really would love to drive the last one.

It's 2016 and I don't have a jet engine motorcycle style aerobike yet. Like a jet skies for the skies.
How can this be?
Would be SO AWESOME.
I'm this short from strapping a turbojet onto a jet skies. Or a snowmobile.
Electrics MAD acceleration is a huge plus though. Like wtf. I bet if you placed an RWD in an electric it would be the ultimate drift car. Burnout ensured. If you can get some energy storage that isn't heavy af.
Also the most silent drift car, with most noise coming from the tires.
My T3 needs restoring, but neither do I have time, nor money for that. Which is sad. I'd love to put a Subaru engine into it. 1.6l TDI is just not enough for it. Would be a great car to have fun experiences while traveling in with.

Indeed. You can judge a man by the condition of his motorcycle. Or his car if he does not have the motorcycle.
Been repairing a moped for the last six years (never had too much money for parts).
Almost got it finished, but my idiot brother inserted two smaller rods for the clutches pressure rod. I could've machine one, you know? But that "takes to long ahaha" so now there's two fucking rods stuck inside that cylinder that holds the pressure rod. Clenched up. Gotta take the whole engine apart AGAIN to get the damn things out.

I don't know the full story in detail but basically in the 70s and 80s, Mercedes sold different spec cars in the European and American market. The European versions looked and performed better than the American ones though, so Mercedes buyers started importing them directly from Germany. The gray market of Euro-spec cars hurt the American Mercedes dealers so much that they lobbied Congress with millions of dollars to make a bunch of bullshit car laws. So now in order to have a car in America it needs to pass US emissions testing, US crash testing, have US-produced glass, and only cars older than 25 years old are an exception.

The JDM front end looks Generic, especially compared to the USDM spec with the dual lamps.
Also the Acura (and by extension Infinity, Lexus and any other "luxury" off-shoot of a Japanese company) badge exist because the US market sees Honda (And Nissan and Toyota) as cheap or basic and as such aren't as willing to buy a luxury car like the Toyota Aristo or Nissan Cima. And there is precedent for it, ever hear of the Mitsubishi Diamante? Didn't think so.

Automatics are a thing. And some of the 50's and 60's had Push button transmissions that were located on the left hand side typically. Also while I can't find a pic of it to save my life, apparently some hot rodders would change the gear lever from the right side to the left of the steering column.

Miatas are cars for teenage girls. I don't know why these stereotypes exist, they just do. I drive a 20 year old Subaru. There is nothing cute about it and it's considered a lesbian car for whatever reason.

Because it's cute it attracted women and gays. Of course they're great driver cars but the number who cared about that was smaller then people who liked it because it's cute.
Also if you care that much about being seen in a certain car I'd suggest buying some plain shitbox or a life time public transit pass.

certain cars have certain uses and with those uses comes a sterotype of people who use them. Miatas happen to be cars that are like fancy nails/luxury purses/etc They're not really practical and are mostly a statement hence you end up with young women and total faggots driving them because they don't really need anything else. Obviously this is an over simplification but you get the idea. Not everyone who owns a truck has a massive farm which they need it for but thats the stereotype.

been driving a corolla since 2010 here, $4k for 70k miles off craigslist, probably coulda gotten it for 3.2k if i hadn't been a noob (first car ever). the thing is indestructible, though i wish i bought an SUV, having 0 cargo space sucks. also yeah high end cars are silly toys for silly people, just gimme something reliable and i'll make it look good. I always liked the 2000's CR-V's, nice sturdy traditional look, and spare parts for hondas are fuggin everywhere. that'll probably be my next car if this damn corolla ever dies. which would be a blessing, so much lost to insurance. fuck you state farm.
