Since the start of 2019 I've been working bit by bit on a cuckquean RPG. I've teased some character designs for it last month in the fantasy thread and I think that at this point I'll go ahead and reveal my plans.

Nikky has been blessed with two best friends growing up. Ragnid, an orphan boy from a Nomadic tribe of mercenary warriors and Teru, bookseller's son with dreams of becoming a mage. Since their earliest school days, the three were inseparable, getting in and out of trouble together on a daily basis. As the trio entered adolescence, Nikky began to see the boys as more than just friends, but try as she might she couldn't choose a favorite. Teru spent his summers helping at the dockside, learning from the water mages what he couldn't learn from a book. Meanwhile Ragnid's uncle was training him in the warrior's way anytime he stopped by their town. It was no surprise to anyone when after graduation the trio immediately registered themselves as a new party of adventurers at the local guildhall.

A year of grueling fetch quests and vermin extermination went by, and the young adventurers are given an opportunity for a promotion. A resupply mission to a remote outpost in the wilderness. Nikky is no closer to deciding where her heart lies, but she promises herself that after their quest is done she will make up her mind and tell all her feelings. Unknown to her, this task is more than the party can take, and the only way through is to join up with a more experienced team of heroines…

The game will be relatively short, with 3 distinct routes and several variations within each. H-scenes will be sprite based and animated, endings may have CGs. There is no good ending planned, all the endings are "good" endings. I don't think there will be a demo, but I'll post some spoiler-light pics and webms of my progress as I bumble my way through this.

Looks real cute! The males' character designs look a bit more on the femboy/twink side but if that was your goal then you nailed it.

I'm guessing these two are going to be the heroines who'll join the trio and eventually get together with the guys? Or are the highlighted monstergirls also love interests? I assumed they would be enemies.

Thanks! Yep those are the level 40 adventurers who join up with our level 5 team.

The monstergirls are both enemies and love interests. The goblin and demon girl play a pivotal role in the reason why the teamup happens in the first place and continue to serve as a foil, driving the human characters into lewd scenarios. There two monstergirl endings planned if you mess up badly enough.

One of the last characters I'll be adding. If enough people don't like her, I'll see about redesigning her or replacing the story arc altogether. Demon girl is also partially in that category. There's no sprite work currently done for those two characters so any advice is likely to be seriously contemplated for the time when I add them to the game proper.

Absolutely, I'd love to hear your suggestions. Ideas for new scenarios and events are something that would be more likely to be considered, but I think there may be room for one or two more characters.

The general flow of the story is as follows:

>Game starts with the party of three entering the wilderness.

>After a powerful enemy appears the party is rescued by high level adventurers.

>The player is given a choice to trade a team member with the other party.

>If the trade is refused, you end up on the monster girl route, which has a couple of endings but the party never makes it to its intended destination.

>If the trade is accepted, the two groups travel in parallel to each other.

>You will observe snippets of what the other group is doing, but will not be able to interact with them.

>The two groups rejoin at the outpost, where they spend the night together.

>You arrive at an ending where you have completed your mission… At a price.

The content I am working on right now is from the middle of the adventure, primarily after the party splits up.

I do not have any of the scenes or environments done for the outpost at this time, but there's a fair bit planned. That's also the obvious place to introduce a new character if there's someone you'd like to see added to the story.

Here's some of the oldest stuff I could find of this project. The first three attachments will actually need a little bit of explanation, because almost none of the stuff in them is in the game.

I started working on an RPG sometime in late 2018, but in early 2019 I completely re-imagined the project into the form it's in now. In its earliest iteration the game was something very different. It was to take place in a city with a character clock system and events that would unfold throughout each day on a set schedule. The way that the player would spend their time would impact how the other characters moved around the map and interacted with one another. The heroine of this game was a different character altogether, as was her story.

I haven't had much experience doing animated work before so designing the sprite dolls was a considerable time sink, it took me 4 complete restarts to arrive at my current sprite style. Backgrounds were the other hurdle to overcome. I learned fairly early on that a tile based approach would not work for the sorts of cityscapes I had imagined. Instead I drew the structures on a background image and then overlayed a passability grid on top. This approach worked, but turned out to be a colossal investment of time for just a single image. After doing some math I realized that given my drawing speed, that even if I got as much as four times faster I would still spend well over a year on just the bare bones of the project, before I even got around to doing any writing or adding sex scenes. With a fair bit of reluctance I've decided to scrap the whole thing and start fresh.

The new project was planned right from the outset as something a little more manageable. Backgrounds became tile based and the cast was switched out for a much smaller group. I've kept some of the characters I liked and the techniques I developed during my first attempt, but discarded most of the rest. One of the big changes I had planned was to increase the sprite size of the characters. The actors in my first attempt were already hitting the upper limits of what's reasonable in vanilla RPG Maker, so some modding was in order. The sprites themselves are a better structured than what I had at first and the animation are a lot less wonky. The backgrounds are a compromise, but one that lets me spend more time on more exciting things. Ultimately I'm pretty happy with how the look of the game turned out.

I've had some experience working with RPG Maker in the past, so I already had some idea of what was and what wasn't possible to do in the engine. I'm relearning a fair bit as I add new content, but it's mostly been smooth sailing so far. I think that a lot of the problems that would have crippled development have made themselves apparent in my first attempt at making such a game, so I'm very glad to have had that experience, even if at the time it felt like a massive setback to let go of it.

Why is there 2 Male protag? It's hard to feel the "Cuckquean" feeling when the girl isn't even officially at least dating a guy much less need to choose between 2 guys.
