That really depends on your family. I'm sure we'd all love to have family that's understanding enough that they don't flip out when you bring a sister-wife to Christmas, but sadly, that is not always the case. If you think it's too weird and would cause problems, I'm sure most vixens would understand.

There might be some wiggle room, where they still think it's weird but don't really make a big deal of it. If you can handle family members gossiping about your weird 'polygamist' lifestyle.

Alternatively, you could always make something up to excuse it. Like tell everyone that it's the wife's friend from work, and all her family lives far away and she can't make it out this year, so you just invited her along so she didn't have to be alone on Christmas. Just avoid any public displays of affection that will raise eyebrows.

Exactly. We’ve got to be careful with words like cuck and vixen to make sure they don’t creep and start denoting things they shouldn’t. I’m sure that most women in truly polygynous relationships would be pretty offended to be called cucks and that their sister-wives would likewise be pretty offended for it to be implied they are taking something they shouldn’t.

I was just using colorful language for the most part, but fair enough. I think, though, if a person is seriously considering bringing their vixen to a family gathering, the relationship may have transgressed into something more significant than what you're implying to be their role. That or the person is super autistic and they have no idea what is and isn't appropriate.

Yes, it is super cute. Accidental organic triad romance is my favourite non-but-soon-to-be-existent genre. In real life it’s often much less than romantic because the second woman risks being the pre-existing couple’s ‘failed experiment’ but in fiction we can explore this without such encumbering details.
