The first time I ever played Second Life with Dominic it was after one of his Hitbox streams a year and a half ago. Hello, this is Colossal, I've read through this a bit…

So I've been friends with britbong on and off for the last few years. Only ever received backlash because of it, but I've never really cared. Most of the hate I receive is based on who I occasionally speak to, whether it's britbong, leafyishere or keemstar. All three of them have done some fairly shitty things and therefore, people question my intelligence and/or motives for speaking to them in the first place. All three of them are pretty toxic in their own ways, but I find toxic people interesting and friendships develop when you speak to certain people for extended periods of time. This is the main reason why I am friends with Britbong. It's not because I think he's a good person, but then most people aren't anyways and I'd rather be friends with a cunt than your typical fake pandering YouTube mutant.

I've no doubt some of the things said about him are true. I refuse to believe any of the pedophile allegations and I've never seen any evidence to support them. If I had, rest assured, I'd have absolutely nothing to do with him. And this is the problem as a whole… the facts (whatever they are) have become so entangled with the lies that I can't possibly separate the factual from the fictitious.

There are so many little snippets of shit here and there, a new one seeming to pop up every day… that it's gotten to a point where I'm just fucking confused. If you already hate Britbong, it's all too easy to just accept them as they come. But if you put yourself in my shoes for a second, it's a near impossible challenge. And many of these aforementioned "facts" have decent counters. Granted those counters mostly come from britbong himself, but since he's the one on the chopping block, where else would I get them from?

Even if some of these "facts" are valid, there's no question that there have definitely been lies too. Just how many, I couldn’t possibly say, but you only need to look at this thread to see how easy it is, to just say shit with ZERO supporting evidence. For example…

I've never backstabbed anyone ever.

I barely even know what this is, but I certainly didn't pay for anything (something about an article of Brit's father being a smuggler or something)

The above examples kind of prove how easy it is to just make shit up and/or mislead people via misinformation. I almost never take what someone says as automatic fact… unless:

a) there's irrefutable proof or

b) they're a person of proven integrity.

I don't automatically accept what someone tells me, especially not on the internet. So when someone accuses britbong of something, I see no evidence for it and he denies it, I have to give him the benefit of the doubt don't I?

Now I do not deny the fact I’m biased. I have only ever heard Brit's side, never really anyone else’s. I'm not saying I trust Brit with my life or anything, but I've never really seen a reason to doubt him or question whether he's telling the truth or not.

As for my little twitter video, it was half a joke, but I definitely shouldn't have gotten involved… that was pretty stupid of me. I wanted to defend a friend, so I made an exaggerative twitter video that kind of only fueled the flames. It was naive of me to not foresee the impact it would have and I can only apologize for that one. I have no problem with Spooks and we spoke on Skype to remedy that of any doubt. I did not think his video was good, I thought he used poor sources, but that was just my opinion and I gave it. It was not my intention to send him a cluster-fuck of hatred. But were I to fear that side-effect, I’d never be able to voice my opinion publicly on anything. Even so, I should have given this one a miss, but if I really wanted to damage him and his video I can think of better ways to do it than some half-arsed clip on twitter.

ED is one of my favourite sites, but it really shouldn't be taken seriously. Now I see in this thread that people are saying the ED article is accurate… but

A) I've got no way of knowing that and

B) Britbong once told me it's mostly written by "a second life user he’s got a lot of history with" (don't think he told me his/her name, if he did, I can't remember it)

I have never played second life, I don't know these people, but I'm asked to just accept what they've written… on Encyclopedia Dramatica of all places?

To clear up all the theories of WHY I'm friends with Britbong and WHY I've defended him a couple of times in the past:

1. It's not because he may or may not have my dox. I have already been doxxxxed multiple times, once by keemstar himself who publicly admitted to doing it. I don't know whether it's out there or not, I didn't really look too hard to be honest. My real name is definitely out there, I've done a face reveal, all that's left is my address and honestly I don't care all that much if that's out there too. If someone comes round to my house, I'm more like to invite them in for a coffee. I'm kind of fucking terrified of my family being targeted, but I understand that this WILL happen eventually, so I've since embraced it as much as anyone is able to.

2. It's not because I'm dick-riding him for e-fame, that wouldn't really make much sense. Actually if I genuinely cared about my channel, views e.t.c It'd be prudent to cut all contact with him. The fact I still associate with him is testament to how little I actually give a shit. YouTube is just a hobby for me at the moment and always has been. The same can be said for my association with bigger names like Keemstar and Leafy, both widely hated, and my online presence has only ever suffered because of those particular friendships. I'm not indebted to anyone other than Pyrocynical, who kickstarted my channel several years ago after a collaboration. I never accept the accusation that I just use people for growth, since were that true, I would have already capitalized on it. Since I only have 10 videos in fuck knows how many years, I think it's fair to say I don't do this for any other reason than my own enjoyment of it, I could care less about gaining or losing relevancy. I probably care way too much what people think of me, otherwise I wouldn't be here and truth be told I'd love to make more money doing this shit, but the fact remains I haven't capitalized on it yet and if I keep up what I’ve been doing, I'll become so irrelevant that I'll never be able to anyway.

3. It's not because I fear the backlash of Britbong's subscriber base. There's clearly more hate FOR him than the other way around. I've fallen out three times with Britbong in the past, each time because he thought I was ignoring him. During these times, he would shitalk me, each time he apologized and each time I forgave him, there’s no sense getting butthurt over a bit of shitalk. During these times, some of his fans would send me some poison, but it was absolutely nothing by comparison to what I receive on a daily basis anyway.

4. It's not because I'm working on an eventual video on Britbong. I'd be a complete hypocrite and I'd essentially lose whatever credibility I had, that is, if I even had any to begin with. Like I said, I care way too much what people think of me, even though I know I shouldn't and therefore the likelihood of that ever happening is pretty slim.

5. I kind of accept the point that I have low standards in people, though I'd of phrased that differently. I forgive people too easily, sometimes to my own detriment. Perhaps

that's a character flaw, if so, I accept it. I have a high threshold for bullshit, only because I'm disconnected from all the cancer and I don't take the internet too seriously. If that were not the case, I think it's fair to say I would not be friends with Britbong.

In summary, I do not know who or what to believe anymore but I have never had a reason to doubt what Britbong has told me. As I've told a few others I am more than happy to get into a Skype call with ANYONE and hear their side of things on the one condition that Britbong is there to defend himself, since that way I can finally hear both sides.
