There might be politicians elected to local or even state office with fewer qualifications than him, but national? As stupid as reps/senators can be sometimes, I doubt it.

Second, why is he not trying to unseat a Republican? True, Massachusetts has no Republican national reps or senators at the moment, but there's a decent chunk of state reps and senators that are Republican. Not like it really matters since Dems hold a supermajority, but still. Why go after one of your own? I know the answer to this one, at least: John thinks himself to be so important that he couldn't deal with being anything as lowly as a state politician. He wants to go straight to the top because he thinks he deserves it.

Third, why Lynch? He's a longtime politician, very well-loved in his district, and he actually has beliefs that he's consistent with and sticks up for, as I mentioned earlier when he voted against Obamacare as part of a pro-life Dem group. John has zero political experience (not necessarily a detriment considering Trump is our president now, but Trump also has a lifetime of business experience and actually has charisma); isn't loved by anyone that isn't the most beta of beta males; and has no beliefs, merely choosing to virtue signal any time the latest "progressive" cause goes blaring across social media. The contrast couldn't be more stark.

Finally, assuming that through some stroke of fate he actually did manage to primary Lynch, why does he think that a district composed mostly of union members and tradesmen will give a flying fuck about the tech industry that he's running her campaign on, considering that tech has the potential to put them out of a job? He could set up the easiest Republican victory in Massachusetts history if he actually became the Dem nominee, because all those hardworking tradesmen would take one look at John and nope the fuck away from his ghoulish visage and vote for literally anyone else.

If nothing else, this will definitely give plenty of salt for the next two years, if he actually manages to keep this shit going that long and doesn't get bored and quit. I'll also laugh hysterically if he gets brought up on charges from the FEC for misusing campaign funds, because you just know he's gonna spend campaign money on anime figures and vidya he never plays.

And as I mentioned before, I still do not understand Frank's motivation in all this. He HAS to see that this is just throwing money down a hole that he's never going to get back, right? Then again, considering how he bankrolled Rev60 and John's multiple SRS treatments, maybe he is just that bad with money. We know from his ex that he can be an abusive control freak, so I don't feel sympathy for him, but that really just makes him all the more baffling. Clearly he's not a super retard, but why does he do this shit if he's not? My only theory is that he's playing the long game, and he wants to build John up so that his fall will be all the more spectacular.
