Zimmerman has a hero complex which drove him to volunteer as a neighborhood watch while a string of burglaries was happening in his neighborhood. He was driving around one night and saw Trayvon wandering around. Zimmerman decides to follow Trayvon despite not knowing if he's dangerous while talking to someone from the police department. The guy he's talking to tells him to go back to his car, so Zimmerman starts going back and then he runs into Trayvon. Trayvon seems to have attacked him, likely with the intent of murdering Zimmerman if Zimmerman is to be believed, and Zimmerman shoots him dead.

The media spun this as a white-on-black hate crime, emphasizing the fact that Trayvon was unarmed and younger than Zimmerman (and even implying he was still a child by showing old photos of him over newer ones), and editing Zimmerman's phone call to make it sound like he went after Trayvon because he was black. The bad reporting also caused a lot of people to believe Zimmerman was a cop, which he wasn't. There's also the fact that Zimmerman is hispanic, although that's well known by now.

Angry black people all over the country start calling for Zimmerman's head, but their demands weren't met as Zimmerman ended up being found not guilty due to the lack of evidence against him. So the trial ends up being held as an example of injustice in America and set the stage for Ferguson.

I can offer up a little explanation to the "fatty liver" examined in his autopsy and I can make a correlation to his behaviour regarding substance abuse and aggression. The odd thing with some users, is that specific opioid drugs can produce an "opi-rage" type effect upon usage. Whenever I would take oxycodone, I would get irrationally pissed off at just about anything and everything and I couldn't explain why. I could be driving and the light would turn red and then I'd start screaming and punching my steering wheel. This opi-rage is experienced commonly with many users, but it varies from drug to drug, showing symptoms in certain people with different opioids. Codeine most likely did it for him, and that's why he attacked.

Also, considering how the liver is heavy on the filtration process of opioid drugs, it explains why his was beat up and semi-fatty. DXM also does this, ESPECIALLY when you take the dosages required to "robo trip"… But the odd thing is, is that DXM and codeine aren't usually mixed, so I think you guys are getting it mixed up. I think he was on one or the other, and I'm putting my bet on codeine rather than DXM, on account of DXM making you trip pretty fuckin hard upon dosage to where it would be hard to fight or even communicate coherently.
