January 2017:
for the anniversary of the father of sicence fiction cinema Metropolis(Fritz Lang, 1927), Disney Italy published the parody Metopolis(pun:TOPO=MOUSE) as homage to the iconic film on the weekly publication "Topolino".
The story was written by Francesco Artibani and drawn by Paolo Mottura, both renowed for the Paperink New Adventures series.
hoping I did't make too many grammar mistakes while translating, I wish you can enjoy this awesome(for me) story!
NOTE: It is a Disney story, so there aren't too crude contnent like Maria's death or the Dance Scene; but the message of the opera is still intact.
CAST OVERVIEW (italian names in parenthesis):
>Mickey Mouse(Topolino)has the role of Mick Mouser(Topp Topper) replace Freder Fredersen, the protagonist, performed by Gustav Fröhlich.
>Peg-Leg Pete(Pietro Gambadilegno)in Pete Petersen(Pit Petersen)'s shoes is the tutor of Mick; in the original Joh Freersen is Freder's father performed by Alfred Abel.
