So, the thread on Bill Willingham was bumplocked, and the thread on the lawsuit between Todd McFarlane and Neil Gaiman was deleted.

Just to clarify, what rule was being broken?

Are we only allowed to make threads about comics, and not the industry behind them?

The janitors tend to delete those kinds of threads at random.

I don't remember bumplocking the Bill Willingham thread, but looking through it, I can see why it was. When you make a thread, you gotta explain what the thread's about. You can't just go "lol dead art nigger" and expect anyone to know what the hell you're talking about. I'm assuming that was the same problem for the lawsuit thread, meaning I probably deleted the thread thinking it was shilling.

Industry threads are allowed, and personally I enjoy them, but you have to give a little bit of context so people get their bearings. I suggest you delete the previous thread and start a new one.

Since this is a meta thread, this thread will be bumplocked.

The two pages I supplied with the Bill Willingham thread starter were fairly self explanatory, and I gave some background in my introduction.

And I also introduced the Gaiman/McFarlane thread with an explanation that it was a link to a transcript of the court case. I would say the blog page was too old for anyone to assume I was the blogger shilling himself, but we just established that your janitors can't read, why should we assume they can read a fucking date?

Why was "Manga Conquering the World" ( >>978635 ) thread bumplocked? It discussed something that is going on in the industry. Yes, there were few faggots that tried to turn it into purely political thread. I get why their posts were deleted, but why was thread bumplocked as well? It's not reamining like posts are breaking rules, and most discussion about manga is contrasting it with western comics.

Just use archived links. Especially since blog post links tend to die after few years.

I don't recall bump-locking that one either. Unlocked it.

So we have to spoonfeed idiots everything because reading is hard?

You're better off keeping it locked, its attracting a lot of those superiority larpers. When a thread boldly claims MANGA IS CONQUERING THE WORLD you know its true intention was to bait.

The thread was going fine, people were reading what was posted and responding, and the genius here >>980122 decided that wasn't good enough.

What did you expect when you tilted a thread "Dead art nigger repository" when you wanted to talk about the lawsuit between Todd McFarlane and Neil Gaiman. Seriously, how dumb are you?

You should really reconsider putting the lock back on.

Does the vol even read the meta threads?
