==ITT: When the adaptation is better than the source material
>Read vertigo's I Zombie back in the day
>Starts as funny, gorey detective story reminiscent of the early buffy/angel comics
>Introduces egyptian mummy romance/villain and ends with her turning into a giant naked zombie goddess and flying into space.
>End up watching the pilot for the show
>Twists the plot, keeps the detective angle and goes in a very different direction
>Knee jerk reaction of 'this isnt a REAL comic adaption' and drop the show
>Recently find 3 seasons on netflix with a 4th teased at comiccon and watch it all and enjoy it as a filler for buffy style horror comedy
>Doesnt follow the comic and instead starts to turn into story of how a zombie outbreak is dealt with when the zombies are sapient, lucid people that need brains.
>MC is also a confusing qt
Its not gods gift to television but i like it and look forward to season 4, the indian dude is very similar to a simon pegg or nick frost type actor and injects some healthy bongland sarcasm into the seattle murk.
