The aesthetic of the concept art kind of reminds me of games like Dark Souls, Bloodbourne and to some extent Castlevania.

So do I, I remember there being a graphic novel published by IDW called Monocyte which was based on two races of immortals warring over the remains of an entropically dying world.
A war disrupted when an angel Azrael sends a necromancer to bring death to the deathless.
That was pretty good.
