Van Scriver is not the most trustworthy person. Besides, wasn't he a pariah in the comics industry at this point?

Closing DC outright sounds like a waste of money and possible grounds for losing Watchmen and possibly few other IPs. The closest thing they will do it it will be simply selling off comics publishing arm. What's most likely is that AT&T will trim the fat, put someone like Johns in charge, demand all art to be done by the least expensive third worlders, and put a hard capacity on max monthly books DC are allowed to publish and at what sales numbers books get automatically cancelled.

Bendis is probably fighting tooth and nail to write it. If he will, sales will plummet, and Bendis might actually become the guy who killed DC. I wonder why DC didn't cut down on his involvement already.
