Get Woke Go Broke

No seriously. It might be the first Case of FWGB I can recall. The animation block died when it went from Remember the 90s to fuck white people and DUMPF. I knew the block will die forgotten when they bashed the x-men for having too many white characters. The most liberal superhero team ever.

>having too many white characters

Its one of the most diverse teams out there. I take it they only saw the cartoon and never read the comics.

90s x-men cartoon was just as diverse as the comics. ADHD just full of shit.?

ADHD premiered on the Fox Network to replace their previous Sunday block. It was an attempt to replicate Adult Swim's popularity. It aired from 10-3AM on Saturdays until it moved to the same timeslot on FX. It had a number of shows that were incredibly unlike the majority of Network Television, though some were hit or miss. I quite liked "High School USA", where the characters were purposefully designed to look like Archie characters, lampooning contemporary high school culture with heavily adult themes.

The block also had commercials similar to Adult Swim blocks, consisting of skits, songs, and other things, all of which they put on YouTube. Some of them were censored since it was network tv, with the uncensored ones put on the internet. All of these can still be found on YouTube, but the television shows seem to be less discussed than the actual television shows, which there seem to have only been seven of produced. Other shows incuded 'Lucus Bros. Moving Company, and the cartoon version of the online comic Axe Cop''.

The begining of each weekly programing block consisted of an animated "Week in Review" which usually involved a reddit(ish) Memes of the past week. They got some big names for these shorts, including AJJ and the comedy musicians Garfunkle & Oats.

Embed related was a rather popular short.

I only watched this for Axe Cop, I could care less about edgy Archie, or whatever else they put on there.

ADHD was referencing memes 3 to 4 years out of date if not older. The only thing of note they have done was jump on the 90s Nostalgia when it was something new.

The only good part about ADHD was having Lightning Bolt exposed to Normie masses.

Brian Chippendale and Brian Gibson weren't even paid for it either. That's the shitty thing, a buddy of Chippendale's from RISD was the producer for ADHD and asked him if they could use a song from Lightning Bolt in the promotions, but didn't pay them a fucking DIME.

Such bullshit, but it's still awesome we got noise rock into the mainstream.
