Since I heard the publisher Dark Horse is going to translate the first one, I skipped directly to the second story of the trilogy of gothic-horror perodies made by the golden duo Bruno Enna and Fabio Celoni, this one coloured by Mirka Andolfo.
Hoping I didn't make too many grammar mistakes while translating, I wish you can enjoy this awesome(for me) story!
NOTE: I've lost my old translation of Met(r)opolis and, in the site archive, the whole thread is corrupted. Does anyone still have it?

Cheers for translating and posting this, OP. These parodies by Disney Italy are Elder God tier. Are there more stories like this?
Also, fans of these might also enjoy the cartoon and comics about Count Duckula.

Not OP, but there's a metric ton. For example, there's an entire issue of the Lustiges Taschenbuch (basically a German, montly or bi-monthly collection of Italian Disney stories) that was a parody/adaptation of Gone With The Wind.

Six. Plus whatever comes out now that they are going to start publishing PK as solo again, but I don't if they will still use the New Era name or with another one.

The funny of that story is how that scene was taken out of context to stir up controversy. All in all, this story is pretty ok and the writer even makes sure to go back with the status quo at the end, yet it got banned. Disney truly gets butthurt when something that is not good happens to Mickey.

This is true; They ruined what might have been a truly unique game as well, because they wouldn’t allow the devs any creative control – they’ve got some very strict rules for how Mickey must be portrayed out of fear it could damage their brand.

It is strongly hinted at that Scrooge and Goldie had sex in The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck as well. Recently found the prologue Rosa had intended for TlaToSM – seven pages that go indepth into the background of the Clan McDuck. Also have to give Rosa props for not adding non-Western ancestry to the ducks: “…I would have had trouble linking $crooge's family, which might have come to Scotland from Norman France and to Norman France from Norway, to relatives in the extremely distant Mid-East, and didn't like the idea of trying – those are not nationalities that I would want in these Duck's ancestry.”

I'm actually pretty impressed with the maturity of these stories. They really are not the type you would associate the characters with and for some reason it works pretty well.

There are some genuinely sad moments in the stories of Don Rosa and by Disney Italy; The PK stories are especially mature – I was certainly too young to ‘get it’ back when I started reading it around ’96/’97.
If you compare these to comics being published today, and superhero comics in particular they are leagues beyond them in terms of quality on every level. And it is really sad to know that the artists who make these stories are royally fucked over by Disney: http://archive.vn/rJmy5#selection-393.0-393.35

I don't even know what to think about this, the way the audience in north america demand that comics be treated as an adult medium while consuming some of the most childish stories imaginable, while in europe we have disney characters, which are the epitome of childhood entertainment, being used as a cast in stories that resemble some of our master classics. It astounds me.
I feel as if we are being fed pap. People think comics like Crossed are adult when it is one of the most juvenile executions of shock-media, while Donald duck has beaten both Christopher Nolan and Bale in being the hero they need, not deserve.
WTF, brb gotta kms.

Mickey Mouse Mystery Magazine is a must read.
>MM - Mickey Mouse Mystery Magazine was an Italian monthly comic, published by Disney Italy from May 1999 to March 2001, about Mickey Mouse and his investigation in the city of Anderville.
>The series, a noir story starring Mickey Mouse as the main character, is composed of only twelve parts, and it is regarded by fans as one of the best Disney series ever, together with PKNA.

Kay? Only read one Double Duck story so far. In PKNA Donald had great chemistry with several chicks; Lyla, Xadhoom, Tempest, and Juniper. You are right about Daisy – anyone would be better than her, and I am so glad Disney Italy seem to think so too.
