Wakfu was okay, but for a cartoon looking that great it was super predictable (especially the humor). I only watched it for the fight scenes.
I also own a Dofus artbook which made me realized how stupidly sexualized the characters are. It's friggin obvious, as if it was from the 90s. Ever female character looks the same, no matter the race, all wearing miniskirts or underwear, while all guys have unique designs.

This is the dumbest argument I've seen all week. 'Dessin animé' is just the way cartoons are called in France.
Angela Anaconda was a dessin animé for them. It just means 'animated drawing'. Haven't lived there in awhile but last time I was there I noticed the spoken language had a lot of 'Franglish' mixed into it so some people refer to them as cartoons.
Another example of weird names are comics. In french, they are called BDs, short for Bande Dessiné or Drawn Strip. Does that mean every comic out there is the same for them as newpaper strips? No, it's just the name.
For the record, I do think Wakfu is a cartoon inspired on anime. French anime so to speak. Ankama even made some shit quality black and white comic for Dofus and laballed it manga. I don't even remember if it reads from left to right.
