There is a difference between low quality threads and actual spam. Mostly we have the former, and mods are pretty good at dealing with spam. This is 8chan. The job of mods is to remove spam and illegal content. That is it. There need not be interaction between anons and the BO, unless it's a cancerous meta thread. Posters as you describe can be dumb and paranoid, and I think board activity isn't what it was, but I can deal with that. Not sacrificing the freedom of discussion, the freedom from moderation, we have here, which is what you suggest. If you want to go crying to the mods there are plenty of other websites for you.
