Anyway, though this is IDW and thus not "proper" Dredd, it was doubtless run past the 2000AD team and given their approval. That was probably at the script stage, though, I should think they expected the "guy who looks like Trump" panel was going to be more subtle than that.
2000AD DID grow out of Punk, though. It may have shocked the establishment, and been a tad more grassroots, but the original Punk was just as much of a petulant tantrum as that kid at your school who listened to Anti-Flag and called people "conformists" was back in 2000. Mind you, at least the original Punk broke the back of Prog and made short songs cool again. They managed a successful musical revolution and honestly thought they could do it for politics too.
