Nope. Jerked around to long, to many gaps. Wouldn't mind a 'rocks fall, everyone dies' ending just to be done with it. The story is the ultimate in failed delivery. The fates conspiring against this poor loveable character in ways that were hinted to have some kind of deeper meaning or future repercussions, all of it 100% worthless.
Katia, a fun character, went into a town in 2011. Since then it's been 7 years of the character being the authors torture doll as she has barely achieved minor magic. Any enjoyment I used to get out of the story has been eaten away by.
1) Having the 'overcome failure' message gone over at least a dozen times. Each defeating the purpose more than the last. I don't care if Katia succeeds in anything, because she's just going to fail. The author has pulled this trick so many times that it's now a catch 22. The ultimate Fail Sue. She will never have a triumph that wont be negated or ignored in two or three updates (but at least fans will be able to hold onto that fake sense of victory for a few years). To punctuate this, before the 2 year gap for nothing, I was already on the tail end of giving any type of shit. When it was finally updated I was late to the party and the next part had already gone up, and the cat was in a fucking cage. Brilliant, great use of time, I went from possibly interested in the series coming back to not giving the slightest crap in record time.
2) The interaction has become as meaningless as a DM putting cheese into a room and locking the door. You say you investigate the cheese, he says that nothing appears wrong with it. You say you investigate the room, there is no way out except a small hole in the wall. You start to work the door. He says you fail. You try over and over again, since nothing is stopping you. He says you can't get out at all. You say you set up camp and decide to eat your rations. He says that, despite this never being the case before, you put your rations down outside, because why would you need them? You decide to simply tough it out. He starts making you take death savings throws for starvations. When it's clear you would rather die than eat that obviously poisoned/cursed/magic cheese he states that you just got so hungry that the need to eat overwhelmed you and you ate the cheese and turned into a mouse. The author has said before that he's amazed at how people seem to fail to pick up clues, when he should realize that people are picking them up but trying desperately to avoid whatever he wants because so far it hasn't been anything good.
3) If I stop caring about it, then I don't have to worry about the author inevitably dying centuries before the story would actually get told. I mean, jesus christ I stopped reading A Song of Fire and Ice for the same reason, why would I continue with this?

4) The story has no point. Which has become abundantly clear as time has gone on. It tires to trick you into thinking it has a point by having the cat constantly bemoan her current situation. A situation entirely caused for drama and nothing else. Remember that literally her only life goal is getting a god damn book. Once she accomplishes that, she has no other goals, motivations or desires. (and would still rather spend money on going after some magic bitch rather than replacing said fucking book). This goes farther to the point that I am now asking. What is Katia's personality? Her defining characteristic is that she becomes a whore while drunk. If I go entirely by her reactions in pictures I can go out on a limb and say that she has a childlike excitement about new things, but that's literally it. The rest of her personality can be summed up only by the universe literally conspiring to fuck her life up and how sad that is. All of the conflict here is external and so hamfisted that it can no longer be taken seriously.
5) The story is impossibly predictable. Bad shit is going to happen to the cat. Then the cat is going to feel sad. But then the cat will stop feeling quite so sad and try again. Eventually Bad shit is just going to happen again. Remember when she was an alcoholic? Remember when she swore to never do that again? Remember how it didn't affect a thing in her life and bad shit kept happening? Remember when she learned to do magic? Remember how it inspired her to keep trying because maybe she wasn't useless? Remember how it didn't affect a thing in her life and bad shit still kept happening? In the current run she'll probably defeat the magic perfume bitch, she'll deliver her book and go back to whats her face the argonian that I really liked but it's been so long I can't remember the name, and ultimately it won't fucking matter because she'll either be robbed on the way back, or fall ill, or the argonian will be kidnapped, or she'll have a bounty on her head, or an old god will pop out of her uterus and skull fuck her to death.
I'll summarize my points with this entirely true statement. I think that the happiest ending that Katia can possibly get is finding a blade, going into a bath, and ending her life. That is a fucked up thing to think about a character that you would expect someone who hates the character to say in order to vocalize their dislike. I would like to state that I do still like the character, but that she should just kill herself because her life will only continue to be pointless and frankly boring suffering. Hope is dead.

Like I said in the quoted post, it's probably more accurate to call it a "reference" than an experiment. When I first started developing an interest in comics and writing, I had a lot of concerns about how an audience would take things (e.g. how people would react to sad twists, whether a derivative style would be a benefit or detriment, etc). When I started Prequel, it was with a very explicit attitude of "let's just find out".
I don't mean that as a dismissal of criticism. If I seem like I'm apathetic to criticism, it's because people's feelings on the story and characters are what I'm interested in. People like OP are cool in my book; even if I obviously don't share their tastes, I respect that they share their feelings on it and let me (and everyone else) know how how they were affected. I think we all learn a little from it.

Unlike some others here, I'm a sick fuck that generally enjoys stories where the main character does nothing but cycle through moments of abject suffering punctuated by brief moments of success, because I find it a more realistic and relatable depiction of real life. It's why I fell in love with Berserk, and it's why I initially enjoyed your comic. That aside though, you really should fix the holes in your writing, e.g. the lack of character and motivation for your own MC. I can't imagine your objectives included "how would people react if the writing was really flawed?", because you seem to understand already that there's a separation between safe banal garbage and actual content, and I don't assume you to be the kind of person to go "LETS PRETEND TO BE RETARDED".
