I like the setting in theory. Spooky frontier town is a fun concept, though it needs to be fleshed out a lot more.
The character design is ok - by which I mean I liked it, you may disagree - though there was clearly a lot of effort put into a certain arachnid relative to everybody else. Even the other monsters are kind of generic by comparison.
The voice acting is extremely bad, but it's effectively placeholder since it's a one-man project.
The writing is… serviceable. I think a lot of moments would have landed much better with proper VAs, especially the jokes, but even so it could do with a rewrite. The characters don't quite have individual ways of speaking that would set them apart even if the same person was reading all the lines.
I'd like to propose a motion to send the 'bumbling useless wacky guy + hypercompetent deadpan girl' dynamic to hell where it belongs.
There could be a good show in here. It has potential but it needs tightening up in every department. It's pretty much what you'd expect from a Youtube animator trying to show off their ideas on a low budget.
Best part: The reveal of the web strands with little musical cues.

That was the most pretentious rehash of a pilot I've ever seen. It seemed as though the creator didn't learn anything substantial from his university classes or elsewhere. The main characters' designs, concepts or personalities seemed as though they were directly lifted from SVTFOE. Along with Gringo Marco, his partner bears a noticeable resemblance to Janna, and while Cordie's a bit of a stretch, she resembles Star in concept and personality, just transported into a Western setting. She's an eccentric overenthusiastic blonde-haired bug monster girl who makes pictograph expressions with some part of her face. Considering the resemblances of the other two main characters, I wouldn't put it past the creator if he took liking to SVTFOE and had a strong inclination to project the appearances, or qualities of those characters into his own works.
Yannis' voice was jarring for the kind of character she is, and on the topic of SVTFOE, the chip-tune music that plays when she takes the main characters high up and drop them is also another telling reminder of the show's source material. But the biggest offender of all is how the creator thinks he can compensate for the obvious tweening, wonky lip-syncing and animation by using realistic special effects, like the smoke or dust in the opening scene, and Cordie's eyes. Overall, it's just trash failing to feign quality, and it's a shame because I've seen other university animated shorts and some of them are far better than contemporary cartoons.

like, make him be super proficient with gunplay, having devoted all of his life to mastering that one aspect, to the exclusion of literally everything else. so he'd a great shot, but having no real-world experience he's constantly making rookie mistakes like only bringing twelve bullets to the gunfight or thinking that the other guy is just going to stand there and let you shoot him. these would all be fatal mistakes but a combination of him actually being pretty intelligent and having his ultra badass sheriff girl to bail him out lets him survive to learn from his mistakes.
then when he gets stuck in the web and meets spider girl and plays up his fake outlaw stuff it's far more plausible that she becomes insanely proficient due to the guy teaching her being crazy proficient. and that the main character is just way in over his head with this spider girl wanting to escape her shit life of being bullied by all the other monsters by running off with the first rough and tumble bad boy she meets is more entertaining. because she's naive and just assumes everything the dork tells her is true.

this isn't the endgame for writing a good character, it just helps to have some life experience to know what a person would be like in these scenarios

I kinda like the idea that the main male lead is actually really competent, but due to trying to lay low he is playing the character of an idiot or buffoon, and he has to keep the con going. I feel that kind of thing fits well with the theme of starting new in the west.
Then he trains up the spider waifu through practical experience, while maintaining the masquerade. She would know he is actually not lying when he brags, but everyone else thinks that he is just faking it because of his buffoon act.
His bragging could cause trouble by spreading rumors to people who are looking for him, but when they find him they dont believe he is the one they are looking for. Opens up lots of potential for comedy and hubris related antics.

these things automatically don't make any sense when you put them together. Anyone who is trying to lay low will often show a lack of self esteem but when they get into a dire situation they get really into it and mentally engage for the trial ahead. You need these life experiences to know how these kinda of people think.
